PERMAKIL PEST CONTROL

These people are Neanderthals. They tortured a Racoon right outside my bedroom window. I will have that sight in my mind for years to come. They set out a live trap cage on my neighbors roof yesterday morning and this morning I saw a Racoon trapped inside the cage. Kentucky law is that a trap must be checked within 24 hours. Well, these people broke the law and I will report this. This poor Racoon sat out in the hot sun all day on a hot roof trapped inside this cage. I tried to get up on the roof to put him in some shade but my ladder was too short. See attached photo. The Racoon was panting and shaking and his hand was caught in the cage. These people will rot in h*** and hopefully they will be prosecuted by the state of Kentucky.

Terrible customer service and the manager was very rude. In addition, their price point is VERY expensive (2X-3X MORE) compared to other services. As someone that is in the exterminating business, they should know to wear booties when entering our/any home. The likelihood of potentially bringing pest/germs under their shoes is very high. I do not recommend Permakil and I highly suggest finding another company that treat their customer with respect and compassion.

This company is truly exceptional. From the start, they made themselves available to answer any questions I had, and went above and beyond to give lengthy explanations of what I asked about. This is a family-owned business which provides very individualized customer service. They are also very involved in community service regarding pest control, and their exceptional knowledge and concern for their customers shows. Every single person I dealt with was friendly and competent. When it came time for the treatment, the guy who was scheduled to do my house had a medical emergency, and instead of cancel on me, the owner of the company took it upon himself to complete the job so I wouldn't be inconvenienced. You could not ask for nicer people. I will call them for all my pest control needs.

They were great - the tech looked through the entire house and found no signs of any live bed-bugs. Advised us not to spray unless we saw something else.

We have used Permakil for a long time for general pest control, and this year we also used them for mole control. They are an excellent company in every way.

My home has had bed bug problems in the past. Before Permakil, we were using a PCO that shut down his business with no forewarning to us. To say the least, we were in a bit of a panic to keep up our sessions to make sure our issue did not turn into an infestation. Permakil was very professional, addressed our questions/concerns, and was able to fit us into their schedule right away. We called Permakil with plenty of questions and history, and they were extremely professional, informative and best of all - solution oriented. Over the phone, the owner/manager on duty was able to give us scenarios and solutions to describe to us how they approach BBs thoroughly. We asked them to treat us even though we hadn't seen activity for two weeks. They were very honest in saying that it might not be necessary for us to continue services, but respected our decision to continue with treatments. It seems like they were very professional and not money hungry. Before our appointment, we were given proper documentation on what we should expect from the treatment as well as how to properly prepare for the treatment. I appreciate how thorough this prep document was. They were very punctual with time. They did not work on a window time period, they gave us the exact hour that they would be there, and came at that time. As everyone in my house works during the week, I couldn't be more thankful for that! Service involved a very thorough inspection and treatment that lasted just about 2 hrs. They treated furniture, base boards, outlets, crevices and cracks with both dust and spray. Our last PCO wasn't even close to being as thorough as Permakil! The price of Permakil for the first inspection was approx. $623. This price is almost 3x more expensive than my last PCO. I guess you get what you pay for, however I was slightly alarmed by the price difference initially. Because I was completely satisfied with my first session, I was not too upset by this, but it does make these services a bit more of an investment for me. Overall, I really appreciate the professionalism of this company and how knowledgeable and articulate everyone is at Permakil. I will continue to use them until we are activity free for awhile. Will update with any thoughts from following procedures as necessary.

They were very professional and courteous. Gave an estimate of $900.00, but after inspection they recommended that there were no termites and their services would not be needed.

The work was paid for by my condo association, so I did not pay for it directly. Permakill was very helpful with regards to my schedule. I needed this job completed ASAP in order to close on the sale of our condo and Permakill was able to work to fit me into their schedules early. Their staff was incredibly helpful and courteous and I will use them again if I have the need of another pest control.

Appreciate businesses that operate with this type of attitude; shows that they’re not just all about money, but are willing to pass on a little helpful advice when needed.

The representative was friendly and professional. He did a very thorough inspection for bed bugs, as there have been problems with other apartments in our area. He took his time, and taught me as much as he could along the way - education is a major factor in controlling these insidious pests. His approach was very scientific and their experience in this field really showed. Thankfully, there were no signs at all of any infestation, which was worth the price at that point. They were honest in saying that they couldn't guarantee there won't be a problem, but told me what to watch out for and how best to protect against the problem. When he was convinced he'd searched enough, we chatted about bugs, but he was careful not to "run up the clock" so he wouldn't have to charge more (he charged the least amount of the estimates given). Very considerate! Based on this experience, I would certainly use this company for any pest problem.
