Our central air unit went out; R & S Heating and Cooling (John-Service Technician) came out, and within 15 minutes, identified the problem as the compressor. I spoke with Rachel at R & S Heating & Cooling; she was very kind and helpful. She stated, "As soon as we receive the compressor, we will notify you and be there to install." Rachel called at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, stating the compressor had arrived. Raymond & Nathen came out the next day on a Saturday to install the parts, checked all flow temperatures in the house, thoroughly cleaned the unit, and were exceptionally kind, courteous, friendly, and knowledgable; we live approximately 50 miles from their office in Corbin, KY. R & S Heating and Cooling have gone above and beyond all expectations of service. I had never met or had any associations with R & S Heating & Cooling associates before this event. I highly recommend their services to anyone with any heating and/or cooling issues. THEY ARE SIMPLY THE BEST; YOU CAN TRUST AND COUNT ON THIS TEAM.

What I want to know is, how on God's green Earth is this company still in business? I mean, are they actually going to people's houses and performing work? It seems as though this business is run out of someone's one-car garage. Or, maybe some teenager's basement bedroom? Nonetheless, I haven't ever experienced customer service this bad in my entire life. Not to mention, these people were caught in just simple, boldfaced LIES. How? Why? To make an extremely long story short, R&S was hired by Choice Home Warranty (also a joke of a company) to repair/replace our HVAC unit. Our air conditioning went out a MONTH ago. Guess what? We still don't have air conditioning. Initially, they said they had to order parts. When we called a week later to follow up, they said things are taking a long time because of COVID-19. As a nurse, I completely understood. Another week, they said they were still waiting. Week 3, they said the parts came in. Then, they told us they'd come to our house on June 9th to repair/replace (still not sure what service they were actually going to perform) our unit. When we called the day before to figure out what time to expect the technician, they informed us that they couldn't be there on the 9th, but could come on the 12th. We were informed of this at 3pm on the day before they were supposed to show up. And, the only way we found out is because we called. Were they going to call and let us know they weren't going to show??? Then, they said they could be there Wednesday June 11th and they'd be there between 9-10:30 AM and they'd call 30 minutes before. And, also that they required $300 at the time of service. So, since we both work, we had a friend come and be at our home during that time to let them in & pay them. (This friend that did us a favor had to arrange childcare for his 3 children to be able to come to our house). When he informed me at 10AM that morning that they hadn't showed up yet, I called to figure out where they were. The lady who answered (who probably has about 3 brain cells), informed me that they had "tried to get ahold of us all morning" and that they weren't coming. They had ordered the wrong parts. (The parts we had been waiting a month for). {For the record, my boyfriend had ONE missed call. And, I didn't have one missed call. And, what parts did she say they ordered? COILS. You can get coils anywhere!!!} The lady told me to give her 30 minute to "figure things out" and she'd call me back. During this time, I am at work and do not have time to talk to this lady. (I'm a nurse and my patient was about to deliver her baby). Therefore, my friend called her back to continue the conversation. The lady at R&S told my friend that I WAS THE ONE who CANCELLED their service. WHAT?!!? MY. MIND. IS. ABSOLUTELY. BLOWN. Please, Please, Please, no one use R&S heating and cooing out of Corbin, KY. They all are a bunch of lying crooks.

Awesome. Richard came out on a Sunday and never quit until the job was complete. I passed inspection by Delta Gas of Corbin. He does ALL my heating repairs.
Description of Work: Replumbed all my gas lines that had gone bad.

I have three vents blowing COLD air when my heater runs. After a whopping 20 minutes and a little duct tape later the employee claimed everything was fine. I still have three vents blowing COLD air. I called back a few hours after the employee left when I was sure the problem was not fixed and was told that they would be back to fix it. No show. I called again the next day and the latest they could get to me was two days later. NO show again. Now when I call it goes straight to voice mail and none of my messages have been returned.
Description of Work: Supposedly put duct tape around ductwork joint that had separated.

Cus state that had cold air 3# reg when running (these 3 run had no pressure when I got there) was only putting out about 25 CFM per reg they should had at 100 CFM per reg the other side of the house had reg's putting out about 200 CFM in the other room was to much in there. Had to had her close some of them off to more pressure in her bed room and office. When I left 2-24- at 4:00 pm that made more pressure in the rooms that was not putting out any CFM to equal the old duct system, plus had some air leaking around platform at furnace that other tech tape up. She work fine. RS

The home warranty company selected this installer. The new unit was mismatched and installed reusing old parts from my bad unit. Outside unit froze over with thick frost and stopped running the first day. I called to have it serviced and Raymond told me that it was normal for a new unit to do that. We had no a/c for over a week due to Raymond's lack of proper installation. He refused to respond to my calls for repair. Poor service. Do not waste your time or money on Raymond's skills. I had to call another serviceman to come to the house. They immediately saw that the unit was installed wrong and that the defrost switch was not installed on the outside unit causing the frosting problem. The new serviceman had to rewire thermostat and program it correctly too. Finally, I have a working unit with no thanks to Raymond. Refuse to use this person. He has little to no skills in the HVAC field. He may be better suited to be listed as a handyman because he doesn't show knowledge for HVAC.

Not good still not working and he still has not came back
Description of Work: paid the service man who's name was (OTTIS) to fix my unit he came out put on the part that didn't fix it he said he would be back the next week to fix it and never showed up and now he turned off his cell phone. And I am out $600

R&S installed a new A/C and Air Handler unit in our home in November of 2007. The installation (the A/C Unit) was done totally incorrect. The outside unit was put on the old pad and placed diagonally and the inside unit was placed in pan and not placed on blocks. The pan wasn't leveled and the drains were put in incorrectly which needless to say caused massive leaks in the ceiling. The electrical portion of the installation was done totally incorrect. The technician didn't even use wire nuts but instead used electrical tape which fell off the wires because of the excessive heat in the attic. We called them back 5 times and they didn't care about promptness at all. They came at least 4 days after each call and we had not A/C for 3 weeks in the middle of June and July. We finally insisted that our home warranty company contact another company and the new technician had to totally redo the installation. I will never allow R&S into our home again.
Description of Work: R&S installed a new A/C and Air Handler unit in November or 2007. A new A/C unit was installed in the back yard on November 2007 and a new Air Handler was installed in the attic.
