For the work itself, he communicated very clearly leading up to it what to expect, showed up on time and finished the job in less time than promised, even with a very thorough clean-up. Tony and his team were outstanding! We had our attic insulated as well as duct-sealing. They were on-time, pleasant, completely open and transparent during the project. Kept us informed on everything they were doing and answered all our questions. They cleaned everything so well at the end of project that you wouldn't know they were there! Our second-floor is now so much cooler after their work! HIGHLY recommend them for any insulation work you need.

I was home for the day and Anthony asked me to spot check every step of the way (attic, garage, crawl space, etc.) to ensure the work was performed appropriately before permanently closing off the areas. Amazing! Anthony and his team were very professional. I had received an estimate a few days before and Anthony gave the best presentation. On the day of the job Anthony and his team were on time, even though it was 10 degrees outside. Anthony explained everything that was going to happen and immediately started insulating my attic. Anthony noticed my front door did not have a weather proof strip so he just installed one without asking...awesome! I was in awe of the job as Anthony put 10 inches of R30 insulation and against all the walls going up over a foot he installed insulation. During the job his team made sure my home was free from insulation particles by vacuuming three times. My home was cleaner than when they started. I would highly recommend Anthony as he is very professional and cares about his clients.

Anthony and crew gave me a free assessment and laid out a plan of attack to blow cellulose into my finished walls using 2" holes to dense pack all the way up to the ceiling. They even went so far as to drill and pack around my lighting cans in the ceiling to prevent cellulose from packing inside those. In the attic, they added probably 7 or 8 inches of cellulose across the ENTIRE attic and sealed off walls which had been left completely OPEN by the original builder back in 1978. He also identified a problem with my attic's venting and improved the airflow up there while he was at it. He kept me informed and involved throughout the process, showing me exactly what work was being done and why. The pricing was competitive and the results were immediately felt. The basement is no longer a cold, no-go zone with subzero drafts pouring in, and my entire upstairs no longer feels like I'm losing heat into my attic. The central air is kicking on less and the house feels cozy, like it's supposed to. I am convinced that the number ONE home improvement any owner should make is blown cellulose insulation and Tony and crew are the guys to do it if you're around Louisville.

The problematic area of home seems warmer, and hvac is cycling less. The real test will be as temps fall to freezing again = ).

Anthony was extremely informative and punctual. He was able to tell me exactly what needed to be done to fix my heating/insulation issue. I can't say enough good things about Tony Cunningham and his crew. From the initial call to the completed work, Tony was knowledgeable, honest and a complete professional. We contacted him after having completed an LGE energy audit and Tony read the report, inspected the entire house and explained everything that the auditor said needed to be done. We live in a 2500 SF, 3 story home that is about 100 years old, that had little in the way of wall, attic or basement insulation. Tony explained all about the problems with balloon walls and knee walls and found other issues in our attic that the auditor didn't find. He also made suggestions about venting that the auditor didn't mention. Tony was so good and thorough, that I asked him to look at my niece's home, which had also undergone an energy audit and had been insulated this summer by a so-called "Attic Expert." Tony found large areas in the attic that they failed to fully insulate. The other "Attic Expert" charged an arm and a leg only to blow in insulation, but on both homes, Tony completed all the recommendations on the energy audit report and then looked for every other crack to make sure the houses were good and sealed. On both my and my niece's home, Tony and his crew were friendly (especially to my niece's cat), professional, and cleaned up after the job was done, and Tony did a walk-through to make sure we were happy with the job. Tony also offered other energy saving tips, and left us with additional weather strips and window kits for later use. My only regret is that we didn't know about Tony this Summer when my niece used the so-called "Attic Expert." Live and learn. If you're not using Tony for your insulation needs, you're not getting your money's worth.

Anthony is an expert in his field that came highly recommended. He is careful to explain every aspect of the work, why he performs a task, how much it costs, and how that influences the overall energy efficiency of the home. Earlier this week Anthony added over 13 inches of cellulose to my attic and sealed the rest of my home. We can already tell a difference in heat retention and the number of times our furnace turns on.

Tony and his team were so great. He came out and spent time looking at the scope of our work, making suggestions of how to prioritize our home's needs and educating us along the way. The day of our project the team arrived on time and after reviewing got straight to work. They were kind to my family and home. Upon completion, Tony did a walk through with us and made sure we were comfortable with the work before leaving. I would absolutely recommend Tony to anyone. He and his crew were hard workers, and we literally saw instant results with our new insulation!!!

Needed additional blown-in insulation in the attic of our two-story home. Got other estimates and then called Tony based on the good reviews here. He always answers the phone, or gets back to you promptly. He struck me as being very knowledgeable. He came out quite promptly to do the estimate, and recommended additional work. I was agreeable to this and saw this as welcome advice. Opinions vary greatly on insulation, attic fans, attic vents, and the like. His explanations seemed to make sense. We decided to add passive roof vents (I double-checked the calculations to ensure the proper number and placement) and set the power fans so they were not running unless very hot or humid (these, I knew, were big power hogs). Tony focused on other aspects of home sealing and insulation, also. Little things that make a big difference such as weather stripping, sealing vent stacks in the basement, etc., were added. He additionally proposed to blow insulation over my garage, and wrapped a couple attic walls with Tyvek. He blew in insulation in other walls, and actually sealed a good bit of this off with foam board. There is another side of the attic that we added during the project that requires Tyvek and sealing, and he has promised to come do this soon. I'll update the post then. On the scheduled work day, Tony and his assistant arrived promptly. They were both friendly and professional. They made very little mess, and most was cleaned up (you always notice a bit of mess here and there, but cellulose makes a mess). They were very efficient, and we really didn't know they were there. They blew in the insulation through the roof (holes were cut to install the box vents) so that none of that equipment was in the house. Tony invited me to inspect the work in both attics and the basement, as well as pointing out the new vents on the roof (not going up there, myself). He assured me that these would be well-sealed as to prevent any new leaks. He did me the favor of adjusting the settings on the power fans so they would no longer kick on in the heat. I had a minor problem after the job was done -- Tony answered the phone at 9p that night, and talked me through it, solving the problem. He seems to enjoy and take pride in his job, and does not treat the customer as a burden. This is different than many contractors, who just sigh and huff when something additional needs to be done. The weather has been mild, and we've not yet had the chance to really assess the difference in temperatures upstairs, but I'm hopeful that this work will help. I really do think that Tony's attention to extra detail and extra work will make a difference, and I don't think it was like the vehicle service department telling me I needed to top off the blinker fluid... I think his extra attention to sealing and blowing in additional insulation in places I hadn't expected will make a difference, and did not affect the price too much. The price was reasonable. I think the more comprehensive approach he takes is certainly worth adding him to your list if you need this work done. I have no reservations recommending him. I'll update this post after the final work is done, and once the temperatures rise again.

As you'll see on many of the other reviews for Anthony Cunningham Construction, they are very responsive, informative, knowledgeable, and reasonable. In this era when so few people actually do what they say, or show up when they say they will, it is very refreshing that Anthony Cunningham Construction very clearly takes these simple concepts seriously and puts forth enormous effort in this. You won't be disappointed or let down by Anthony Cunninghams crew. A question that you always here on these reviews is: Would you use them again? Well, for me, I have now used them again. You can see my previous review from 7/13/16. I ended up buying a new hm unexpectedly, and called Anthony Cunningham Construction as soon as I determined there was an insulation problem. Tony came to our home and gave us a bid within 48 hours of us asking for one. He followed up the next day and we schedule the service for that same week. The day of the appointment, he arrived on-time, performed the service in a timely manner and was exceptionally clean and polite.

I can't say enough about Anthony and his team if your not calling Anthony than your settling for less experience and overpriced work

If I could give an A++ rating I would. From the moment I called to request an estimate and spoke with Terri, I was impressed with the responsiveness of Tony and his crew. They set a Saturday appointment to come inspect the house and were on time and thorough. Tony was careful to explain all the areas that were inspected and provide photos and details along the inspection process. By Monday, we had the proposal in hand and were able to schedule the work on our home starting at 9:00am on Friday. From beginning to end, Tony and his crew were efficient, hard working and respectful. The job required over 3000 feet of space to be inspected, air sealed, and blown. Tony went above and beyond in making sure everything was done correctly and that we felt comfortable with the work that was going on . We cannot praise Tony and his crew enough for their outstanding work. Even on one of the coldest days of winter we've had this year, the house is more comfortable than it has been since we've moved in. The money we will save in energy bills will more than make up for the cost of the work.
