Description of Work: J. Gill Roofing completed gutter cleaning, as well as installation of Gutter Guard system. Job was completed timely, and even returned a few weeks after initial work to complete the job because a bird had taken up residence in a small area of the gutter. Will definitely contact them again when additional roof work is required.

Description of Work: When I called to schedule the work, the provider stated that he wanted to wait until he got a few more orders in the area to come to my home and complete the work as he is currently located in Kentucky. I decided to get the work done with another company.

Description of Work: Was unable to perform any repairs due to the type of sealant previously used. Tar was hardened and would require extensive work to remove and should be done in the summer. Mr.Gill was very personable and apologetic.

Description of Work: We had purchased an Angie's List deal for cleaning out our gutters since they were so high on our house. He did everything he could get to, and then even cleared away some branches on the roof, which definitely wasn't in the scope of work. But it was still nice for him to do. He couldn't get to all the gutters because of a van in our neighbors driveway (the houses are set incredibly close together) but what he was able to do was great.

Description of Work: I bought an Angie's List Big Deal to have my gutters cleaned, which was either $69 or $99 (I honestly don't remember). Then, when he was here the first time, he pointed out additional work that needed to be done, and also advised me in installing gutter guards on certain sections since I wasn't financially prepared to do the whole house. The fees for the additional work amounted to $424. He was very friendly, and seemed very knowledgeable. He also took some pictures of damage that needs addressed--damage that was beyond his scope of work. He came back a second day to complete the work we had agreed upon. I gave a "B" for professionalism for 2 reasons: Reason 1 is that he did not provide either a written estimate or an invoice. Numbers were discussed, and he asked me to email him to confirm the work to be done. When it was complete, he phoned me with a total, and I was to send the check to the address on his business card. A written estimate and invoice would have been more professional. Reason 2 is that although he took photos and showed them to me on the spot, my request for him to email them to me was ignored. The info he was sharing was a bit overwhelming, so without the photos to refer to, I am unclear on exactly which areas are damaged/ need work. Having them would help me understand more clearly what needs work and where those areas are located.

Description of Work: We just needed an inspection and replacement estimate done. Service was prompt and he gave us estimates for complete replacement as well as smaller stop-gap fixes we could make to extend the roof's life.

I think the price was a bit high. Also there maybe leaf collection on one side of the house. I just can't find the time to get up there.

Description of Work: Mr. Gill quickly found the reason for my soffit leak and fixed it. He also installed gutter guards in a hard to clean area (I liked the design of the guards he carries). J Gill is professional, NICE, and knowledgeable.

Checked overall roof, replaced one ridge vent end cap, tucked vent boot, made me aware of a large amount of debris in a hard to reach section of gutter and showed me the gutter guards he carries, and discussed my soffit leak and how to fix. Said he would contact me later to install gutter guards and fix the soffit leak (which he later did).
