J. Gill communicated with us to set up an appt with us as soon as we had purchased the services. He was on time, professional and very knowledgeable of his trade. The work area was totally picked up after the services. First thing this morning we checked for drips from the gutters in two different locations, which had been the problem, and there were NONE! First time in years! Outstanding service! Outstanding work!

He explained well about the gutter condition, and cleaned the garage gutter without charge. He is professional and I am very happy with his service.

The job was small but Justin has exhibited professionalism and knowledge of his job. I definitely consider this contractor for future work.

Mr. Gill was professional, inventive, sensible and diligent. Ours was a small job involving gutter work (not roofing or siding) that nevertheless required him to make a special trip to Home Depot, adding much time to his job. He charged fairly and thoughtfully.

He was excellent! It went well and I would use them again. They definitely went beyond the scope of the deal.

Scheduling an appointment was okay and he couldn't come out immediately when I called him. He could not find the problem on the roof. He told me to call him if the roof started to leak again. The leak ended up stopping so I did not need him to come back out.

I would highly recommend J. Gill Roofing for any of your roofing needs. When we started looking for someone to replace our roof, we started with Angies List. J. Gill roofing had received high marks and I'm pleased to add my voice to the list of other satisfied customers. The owner, Justin Gill, was extremely helpful in explaining all of the steps of the process and the basis of his bid. We obtained numerous bids and his was by far the most reasonable. He used very high quality materials and was very helpful in selecting which products to use. We were really clueless as to color selection and Justin's suggestion turned out beautifully. His crew showed up when they were supposed to and finished the job within the time frame he had outlined. They kept the job site extremely clean and cleaned up every nail and piece of debris when they left. In addition to the manufacturer's warranty on the shingles themselves, J. Gill offers it's own warranty on its work. Because Justin runs a tight ship he doesn't have a high overhead or need a huge advertising budget. This is why he is able to keep his prices well below the roofing companies that advertise all of the time.

We originally purchased a big deal for a roof inspection and some credit towards repairs. He seemed very busy but was able to squeeze us in within a few weeks. During the inspection he found some issues with a set of rubber seals around some venting through the roof. Because of their somewhat unique design he needed to check on how to replace them properly. He also examined our gutters and specifically tried a patch on a seam that was leaking. It was improved but still leaking so he agreed to come back when it was rain free and dry to attempt a more permanent repair. This took several weeks due to the weather not cooperating, but when he finally got back out he quickly repaired the gutter and it has stopped leaking. He also repaired our roof vents at that time. Because of the extra work it was over the original amount for the big deal purchase but he is very nice and seemed professional. Assuming his work holds up like it appears to be doing, we will likely use him for our next roof project as well.

The project went well.The service provider responded quickly and came out within the next week and prepared a quote within the next couple of days. He discussed the proposal over the phone and initially lowered the price of the estimate. He was very responsive from the beginning.

The service was fine. They cleaned the gutters for us. Scheduling was ok.

First off, there's an online form for scheduling but it appears to be meaningless. Thanks so much for wasting my time filling it out. Second, when they ask you to call about scheduling, there's no mention of the fine print. Which in this case means, they won't honor the offer for any system with gutter guards even though the description of the service seems to imply that's not an issue. Why becomes clear later. They scheduled for an 11-1 window today. And said they would call prior to coming in case I was out. No call. And in fact, he was almost a half hour past the 1pm cutoff. And despite the fact that it's broad daylight and the address is on the only close mailbox in letters over 6 inches high he managed to try the houses on either side of me first. When he got out of his truck, he looked around and said, "Oh, these don't have gutter guards do they? We won't work on gutter guards as part of the deal" To which I said, "Fine, then leave." And walked back in. I don't like the terms changing in mid call. Assume there's a pretty significant charge for the extra. If that's the case, and it winds up costing what it normally would, where's the BIG DEAL? He called me a few minutes later to ask if was mad at him. Said not on a personal level, but as for the company I was not happy about the experience. And that I consider not mentioning the gutter guard issue during the scheduling discussion to be a confirmation of a bait and switch strategy. Which I didn't like. He wanted to come back and go up on the roof to look at it. I said I was going to pursue a refund. From that point on he instigated and argument as to whether I was in line expecting him to cover the guards. I said, again no, but I didn't like the way it was handled and that I did get them cleaned last year for about that price from someone else. At that stage he expressed his skepticism in a somewhat aggressive and hostile manner. Told him I didn't want to argue about it and cut him off when he kept talking. I'll read the ratings and reviews from the subscription. Maybe. But I will definitely NOT be taking advantage of any more of your deals. I consider you implicit in this, and that kind of "fine print" crap is exactly the kind of thing you subscribe to a consumer advocate to avoid. Still haven't decided whether to cancel or not. Extremely bad taste in my mouth. On vacation, and thanks to this, my last day was pretty much a wash.

It went very well. There was one technician and he also placed some gutter guards. He did a good job and the cleanup was fine.

He found the downspout clog, cleaned the gutters, and upgraded our gutter guards. Although I know he ended up having to spend more time on our job than he expected and planned, he did not rush or cut any corners.

What can I say? The man climbed onto the roof and made the repairs.

Justin was fabulous. He was very professional and if we were not moving to AZ, I would hire him to put on a new roof.

He came out when he said he would and was very thorough in checking all the flashing and the joint where the roof of the garage butts into the wall of the house, I've had a problem with leaks in this area in the past. He said everything looked good and went around the entire roof sealing around the flashing and vent caps. I was satisfied with the work he performed.

The workers were wonderful. Did my roof in one day and I have a large 3 story home. They cleaned up all the old roof that they took off and my roof and my yard were fantastic.

Good work. On time. Fair price. No complaints. Would hire again.

It went well. Justin came and gave his estimate and by the time I called him back I had gotten three other estimates, all higher than his. Then I had a leak develop so I quickly decided I needed to get the work done sooner than later. Justin came within two days after I called since there was now a problem. He called to let me know when he realized he was going to be a bit late as another job took longer than expected. He did not change his cost even though the leak developed after he had given his estimate. He cleaned up all the debris. I would definitely recommend him and would use his company again for any roof work. It appeared to me that the other companies listed things on their estimates that I did not really need to have done.

Justin was very fair, upfront, and reasonable, he went the extra mile for me. He had to fix a flaw of the previous installer. He also cleaned up very thoroughly. If you have any questions, he will answer and explain what he is doing. His price was better than anybody else I sought after. I would definitely use him again as well as refer him to others.

He was professional with the inspection and gave us good information on the condition of our roof and how long till we need a new one . We will definitely give him a call for another inspection in a couple years to reasess .

As to be expected, we had delays due to the whether. He was very punctual in calling and keeping us up to date as things came up. Once we worked out the terms, everything was really a breeze. The crew came in and took care of everything professionally. I am very happy with the job.
