Dial One Mcconnell Appliance Service

It has been a month now and they still have not returned. They came and told us the problem and said they would have to order one part. I called 7 days later and they said they would call back. They never did. I called again after waiting 14 days and they said let them check and they would call right back. They never did. It has been a month now and you would think they would at least call us back as they said they would. They did good work but would never use again because I feel like they could care less.

Steve was very professional, neat, and made the repair quickly. We have had Steve before and he always does a great job for us.

Terrible experience. It took McConnell an entire month to repair our Sub Zero refrigerator's defective thermostat. The refrigerator was running but was cutting off intermittently when we called McConnell in early June. A technician came out on June 6 and diagnosed the problem as being the cold regulator, also referred to as the thermostat. The company lied to us about the part having been ordered and in the process of being shipped for the next three weeks during which period we had repeated incidents of the thermostat cutting off and food spoiling. When we finally confronted the company about the impossibility of their explanation, they acknowledged that their supplier did not have the part in stock, that it had been back ordered and that they did not know when the part would come in (information that they knew early on, but did not share with us). We ordered the part from another supplier ourselves. (This demonstrates the part was available and that McConnell did try to get the part we needed beyond calling their supplier in early June and learning it was on back order. On Friday July 1, McConnell’s technician came and installed the part we purchased. The refrigerator was running when he came, but it was not running when he left, but he said not to worry, it would take 24 hours to be fully functional. It never ran after that. We called Saturday July 2 and left an S.O. S. message on McConnell's answering machine. A technician did not come until Wednesday, July 6. It took him 5 minutes to get the refrigerator running. The fan wires had not been properly attached after the thermostat was installed. McConnell exhibited a callous disregard to our distress over having a nonfunctioning refrigerator. We have never had an experience with a repair company that left us as angry and frustrated.

I was originally pleased with my experience with Dial One McConnell. The tech came and replaced the part that the washing machine error code told us needed to be replaced. The tech left and the washer was draining correctly, so the issue we called for service was fixed quickly and for a reasonable price. The problem with this service provider started a couple days later. The day the problem was found was a heavy laundry day in my house so the washer was running non-stop. I didn?t notice water in the seams of our hardwood floors until that evening when my husband saw the boards beginning to raise and separate. We stopped running the washer at that point. Later that night I was in the basement and realized the water that was leaking from my washer had run into my basement, soaking the carpet and damaging the drywall and paint in the rooms directly below the laundry closet. At the top of the wall the paint was bubbled and there were raised water marks running down the wall. I called Dial One the next morning and let them know that the washer appeared to be leaking water, causing damage to my hardwood floors and basement. The same tech that fixed the washer came to check it out later that afternoon. He inspected and found that there was a small hole in the drain hose that runs from the tub to the pump. My husband asked how Dial One would be taking care of the damage to our home, the tech advised it?s not Dial One?s problem to fix, at which point heated words were said and the tech left the house. I called the office to schedule for the hose to be replaced and briefly discussed the interaction with my husband and the tech, but the response I received was that the tech said the damage was not caused by him, and that was pretty much that. After fuming about it over the weekend, my husband and I decided to replace the hose ourselves. I called to let the office know we would not need their services. There was no mention of discussing the damage at that time, and still not to this day. My credit card was charged a few days later for the drain pump repair service ? there was no attempt to discuss our issue or attempt to resolve. I was disappointed in that because I know they have resolved other customer concerns in the past so I had hoped they would reach out. This is the reason I have waited so long to submit this review. They have not been back nor will they be back to do any repairs for us. We are in the process of getting estimates to repair the damage to our home but do not intend to take action against Dial One because we cannot prove the fault of this leak was theirs, even though we believe they are most likely responsible for the leak that led to the damage. Our reasons for this conclusion: 1 ? There was not a leak before the pump was replaced, we use our washer almost every day and would have definitely noticed the amount of water leaking from the washer prior to the drain pump malfunctioning. Heavy laundry days in my home are not uncommon. I know when issues arise, they sometimes arise suddenly and without warning, but this was too much of a coincidence for us to assume this is just unfortunate timing. 2 - The tech spent no more than 20 minutes in my house replacing the pump. He started the washer and once the drain cycle kicked on he left, which I believe was the ?test? that is noted on my invoice. He seemed to be in a hurry. His elementary-aged son was with him that day (which was fine with me at the time) so that paired with hurrying makes me think that impacted the level of quality in his work. If he accidentally punctured the hose he might not have noticed at that time.

This company is a pleasure to do business with, from the lady who answers the phone and makes appointments to the service person who comes to the house. I called them this morning, and they sent someone today. Very nice service man came, and replaced the ice maker. We have used this company several times over the years and will continue to do so. Highly recommend!

MY PROBLEM IS THAT ON THE SECOND CALL HE REMOVED THE ICE MAKER WHICH HE DID NOT DO ON THE FIRST VISIT, SHOOK IT AND ANNOUNCED THAT IT RATTLED WHICH MEANT AN INTERIOR PART BROKE OFF. THE ONLY CONCLUSION I COULD COME TO AS I WATCHED HIM WORK WAS THAT REMOVING THE ICE MAKER TOOK A BIT OF EFFORT AND THAT IS WHY HE DID NOT DO IT ON THE FIRST VISIT. I DOUBT THAT BOTH THE REGULATOR AND THE ICE MAKER WERE BOTH BAD. COULD BE, BUT I DOUBT IT. WE DID AN INTERNET SEARCH AND GENERALLY ONE OR THE OTHER IS BAD. THE TECK DID SAY THAT I WAS CHARGED AT THEIR COST FOR THE ICE MAKER AND NO TRIP CHARGE FOR THE RETURN VISIT. HE OFFERED TO RETRIEVE THE OLD FLOW REGULATOR AND RESCHEDULE ANOTHER VISIT BUT I ALREADY HAD TAKEN OFF WORK TWICE TO HAVE THE REPAIR MADE.

Realized in the morning that my fridge was cool, but not cold. Called and explained the problem, they took my information and said they had someone in my neighborhood that was just finishing a job--he could be there in 10 minutes. The technician showed up and quickly diagnosed the problem. Told me he didn't have the part on his truck, but he left for just a few minutes and came back with it. He explained before he left what the cost would be for the part and for installation. The repair was completed quickly and saved me from having to replace the entire contents of my refrigerator and freezer! He was very friendly and professional. As a single mom, it's important to me to find someone to call for these kinds of things that I feel is treating me fairly and doing a good job. I will definitely use them again!

They came out a couple of weeks ago, they were servicing my range. It is an old range and they had to order the part. It's working wonderfully now. There was a service charge of sixty nine dollars and that goes towards any parts. The part itself was more than what I wanted to pay but I paid it. Especially since the part was difficult to get, especially for an old range. Their service is very reasonable, a lot of people that I know use them because their price is very reasonable. I over paid for the part and it was because it was a necessity and not because that was what the company charged for it. That was because it was difficult to find.

They came out and knew exactly what to do and took care of it. Very prompt and professional. I will only use them in the future and will recommend them to everyone I know who is in need of a good appliance repair company. I can see why they have an and quot;Aand quot; rating on Angie's list.

Anyone else would have at least charged a service call. The problem with my ice maker took little time and no parts to repair. They left an invoice and said they would not charge me until I was sure there was nothing else that needed to be done. Since it was a simple fix which they discovered quickly there was no charge. They could have told me anything, spent an hour and I would not have known. But they were honest enough to let me know it was just an adjustment and there was no charge. It has now worked fine. I am now loyal!!!!

Our dishwasher broke. They did a professional job for a professional price. We have used them many times and have nothing but good things to say about them!

We have had these folks out several times. They have worked on our dryer, washer, and dishwasher. They have always been prompt and professional. When they leave the appliance works. Highly recommend.

The diagnosis from the repair person about needing a new pump was correct. We felt the replacement cost was well worth not having to buy a new washing machine. We have had that machine since 2004 and otherwise works well. The service person was knowledgeable and polite. We have used McConnell Appliance Service in the past and have confidence in this company.

It's a franchise and they subscribe to certain customer standards. My experience has been happy but they deserve excellent ratings on everything except on price as they are little high.

I have used them before. Everything has always been okay with them. They have consistently given me good service. I have never had an issue with them.

We called Dial One McConnell Appliance Service on Friday Nov 25th . The Refrigerator sectionhad not been cooling properly for several days. The bottom freezer was frosting. I did not call until after NOON on Friday--A very busy, after Thanksgiving day. The Receptionist was extremely courteous and helpful. She said she would call the technician and see if he could fit us in for a service appointment. She called back within 15 minutes and booked us in that day!!! We were in their computer system from years ago (1992) with a dishwasher motor replacement!!! ( That dishwasher-a Kitchenaid has never needed further service!) The technician, Joe, correctly diagnosed the problem with testing equipment and defrosted the freezer. He had to order the part.and said he would be back on Monday We received the call Monday morning and Joe arrived within 30 minutes. Joe was courteous and knowledgeable. The board was installed and tested. We do not know the normal price of service calls, Labor and Service Call for the two visits was $120. The Controller board was 132.83. Total cost with tax was $260.79 We like our Amana Refrigerator/Bottom Freezer model and replacing it would have been very costly! We would definetly use McConnell Appliance Service Again. I had forgotten until the receptionist reminded us of the prior visit, that this company was recommended by a local Appliance Co., Bonnycastle Appliances.

I smelled a burning, electric type smell around my washer and the spin cycle didn't seem to be working. I unplugged my washer and called McConnell Appliance Service. When the serviceman arrived, he plugged in my washer and it worked just fine! He was very careful to check all the different settings to see if he could locate any problems. he explained to me that if anything happened to my washer in the next 30 days, the company would not charge for a service run (which is what I was charged for). I would definitely try them again.

Technician repaired the leaking hose on the washing machine rather than selling me a much more expensive replacement hose. Was courteous and professional, took the time to explain what and why he was doing what he was doing.

I contacted MCConnell Appliance after reading several great reviews on Angie's list. I called on a Thursday, and they informed me the next available date for a service call was the following Tuesday. I proceeded to ask when I could expect the repair man to arrive. I was told that I would need to call back the morning of the scheduled service date, because they did not make their schedule until the day before. I called the morning of the scheduled service, and I was told that they could not be sure when the repair man would arrive, but they could call us thirty minutes before. I asked them to narrow it down, and I was told maybe after 2pm or 3pm. At 3:30pm, I called to determine if the repair man was still coming to my home. I was told he was on a repair call, had two more calls before he would reach me. Then, at 5:15pm, I receive a call from the office. They tell me the repair man is finishing a repair call, but has one more call before mine. They tell me he does not have a work cell phone, but he would call me from his personal phone if he had any trouble finding my home. At 6:50pm, I missed a call from the repair man. He indicated that he had directions to my home and he was on his way. He did not leave a call back number, and the caller ID showed a private number. He never showed up, and never called again. I waited all day for this repair man to come to my house, and I never so much as received a call to say he could not find my house or would not come that late. I will not be using this company again. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced from any company!

Each time I use them I am pleased with their services. I have never been over charged.

Technician spent no more than 10-15 minutes and I was charged $99.00. Little bit high I thought for a service call rate but I havent had any problems with dryer since so I'm giving a B for rating B being for the price. Would use this company again.

Our washing machine had malfunctioned yesterday (Sunday); when we turned on the switch, no response. We called McConnell this morning and they arrived within 2 hours of my call. They replace a bad fuse that was preventing the washing machine to start
