This company stalled, gave excuses and THEN told me if I paid the down payment by NOVEMBER 3, it would be installed by the 9th. Now, today, when I asked about the installation I was told that it would be NEXT WEEK. I asked why, and Jeremy stated that he didn't receive the funds until today so therefore, I didn't PAY until today. It's a complete nightmare to try to get in touch of these people and they DON'T WANT TO HONOR WHAT THEY HAVE ALREADY STATED THEY WOULD DO.
Description of Work: I contacted this provider in SEPTEMBER to install a fence for my property.

work was done well, but lots of schedule problems. I was told it would be an easy two day affair, but it took about a week. I have a dog and they left the fence down overnight which cause me a problem with my dog being able to go out which cause me much stress.
Description of Work: replace fence, add a gate and build a fence gate

We contracted Empire Fence in August, 2014 to build a black metal fence where we previously had a chain link fence. The price was agreed upon which was, in my opinion, a little high, but Jeremy seemed so committed to detail (making sure the fence would slope correctly on uneven ground) that we decided to let him do the job. We paid half or 60% down, I can't remember which, and would pay the remainder when complete. I told Jeremy that I wanted remote controlled gate openers installed as well. The fence was installed in a reasonable time frame but the gate openers are still not functioning (April, 2015). I made a mistake and paid Jeremy for the all the fencing and gate work before it was completed (the gate openers). Jeremy sent someone (he said a relative) to install the openers in January, 2015. (It had been one fiasco story after another in getting the solar batteries ordered and functioning. They still do not function correctly). The relative that Jeremy sent told me he had never done this before and the few times he came would sit in his car reading the instruction manual. Finally Jeremy himself came, told me that he had to fire his relative and got them to work a few times. The batteries would be exhausted after a few openings and closings. This is when Jeremy informed me that solar batteries are designed for backup, not primary use. In August, I had asked Jeremy what we could do as I did not want to cut my asphalt drive for electric line. He suggested the solar but only in March told me it was not for primary use. I told him I would install electricity and he told me to call him when it was in and he would return and finalize the job. I called him and he said he would get back in touch with me the next week. I told him that one of the gate openers had quit functioning even with the electricity run to it. He said that he had it programmed for solar and he would change it when he came out. I asked him for warranty info on it since it had almost never been used. That was when he went into stealth mode. He will not answer my calls nor will he return them. I have left at least 3 or 4 messages and no return calls from him. The last message I left him I asked if he had brought old openers to me that had no warranty and if that is why he will not call me back. Since I received no communication from him, I have to think that is the reason. He knowingly and deliberately sold me defective goods. I even told him that I am not looking for him to come out, just supply warranty info and I will get an exchange. With this lack of response, I highly recommend that anyone doing business with him be prepared for issues.
Description of Work: Installed black metal fence, gates and gate openers. Removed existing chain link fence.
