Rodney is great to work with, he and his crew were very professional and were always there on time. They did a beautiful job on enlarging and updating my kitchen. Despite snow and freezing temps they worked right through it.

Never get a second chance to make a first impression!

Everything went very well. Rodney and team have great attention to detail. The kitchen is perfect. The only hiccup we had was the hardwood floor. It was not perfect after the first attempt but Rodney brought it to our attention before we even noticed it and had the problems fixed. He aims to please and stands by his work. Rodney's team clean up well after themselves which is important when you are living in a house that is having the kitchen and family room remodeled and painted.

My bathroom was disgusting and needed to be totally gutted and another bathroom needed a new toilet and tile flooring. These guys took care of EVERYTHING and gave me great suggestions (like installing a curved shower rod, placing a light in an alcove they built over the shower, installing a tiled opening in the shower for shampoo...) They fixed all problems that came up along the way (like figuring out a way to tile uneven walls and fixing electrical wiring connections). They were always on time, very professional and I could tell they take great pride in their work. I am so happy with the results!

After discovering a leak from our guest bathroom into the kitchen below, we learned that the tile bath surround was literally coming loose. It had been installed on regular wall board instead of concrete board and we could literally pick tiles off. We just had our windows refinished and had not budgeted for a bathroom renovation. We called Rod who had done other work for us in the past and he and his wife came out to provide an estimate. The estimate was in line with others but since we had dealt with Rod in the past and found him to be a true craftsman who took pride in doing things right we selected him for the job. They had the demolition done in only a couple of hours. Rod and his crew took extra care to cover our wood floors and clean fastidiously at the end of each day. Rod and his team were efficient, clean and professional. I trusted his advice on the details of the job and couldn't be happier with the end result. I highly recommend Rod for any job if you want things done correctly and professionally!

Rod and his wife, Teresa, came out to the house to look at the job. They were very thorough and pleasant during this process as I was looking at having multiple repairs done around the house. Rod is very knowledgeable and was proactive when I explained what I was looking for. It did take longer to get the quote than predicted, however the quote was reasonable. Once I selected Rod to complete the work, he set a date and was there when he said. Rod fixed the exterior woodwork around the bay window at my home and re-hung a gutter. He also arranged to have the roof fixed over this part of the house. The front of the house has not looked this good since I before I bought it. He spoke to me at the beginning and end of each work day. He was very detailed in explaining what he'd fixed. He offered multiple solutions when there was an issue that was not what we had discussed. He removed wire shelving that was not sufficient in the kitchen pantry and replaced with wood shelves that he hand built. Because the walls of the pantry were out of plumb, he had to create and fit each shelf individually. When I would have likely left the shelves unfinished, he finished them to prevent moisture and spill issues. The shelves are the talk of all my neighbors. The work was done well above my expectations. I will use him again and plan on having the rest of my list of repairs completed by him in the future.

We've had Rodney working at our house as needed and when needed. Rodney is a wonderful carpenter, very knowlegeable and fast. Rodney did great job with wood work for our house. He did the back flash for our bar along with numerous other jobs. We are happy with his performance.

Called This company to provide an estimate for a bathroom remodel. Rod stated they were busy and it would be atleast 1 to 2 months before he could get to our job. I was OK with this as this was not a job that had to be done immediately. We discussed what I wanted done, he took his measurements ande said he would send me a estimate to complete the job for my review. He siad it would be about a week and a half to two weeks to get the estimate completed. No Estimate was ever received and calls for follow-up were never returned. I would not call this contractor for other work

Initially, we had difficulty getting Rod to respond to calls, however, once the call was returned, he came out at the exact stated arrival time, quoted a reasonable price, got right to work, and did a great job. He was professional throughout. We have more jobs around the house in the coming months and will be calling Rod to do the work for us.

Rod and his wife are wonderful. They understood that we didn't know what to do with our problems, but they did not take advantage of our lack of knowledge.

We had leaky basement, it got bad enough that the basement was basically wasted space. We had worked with Rodney in the past, & really liked what he had done with our patio. We invited him over to look at our basement & explain to him some of our ideas. Basically he took the ideas we had & ran with it. We ended up not only remodeling our basement, but also our bathroom & laundry room. We also gained some new friends along with our beautiful new basement.

Very responsive and professional for estimate. Great work performance. Did more than the contract called for. Just an excellent person to do business with. Actually hired them for two different jobs.

Last week I cintacted the provider and was told they would be out of town for the holiday weekend, however they would call me back to let me know if they could squeeze me in on Friday or can come Monday. My need was urgent and with no call back I was disappointed. They did call me today (Monday) and apologized, as a family emergency interrupted there communication process. So as a result they get an upgraded rating from me.

They did quality work at a fair price.

Rodney finished our basement with a bedroom, bathroom and family room. This included two custom-built shelves in the family room and a very nice tile bathroom. We were very pleased with the quality of Rodney's work. He pays attention to details and worked to please us.

I corresponded back and forth with the secretary/wife via voice mails and texts. After several back and forth, we set up a day for estimate. Rod and his wife were very nice. They measured and talked about repairs. They left with my phone number and email to send the estimate. It has been about 5 or 6 weeks now, and I have never heard back from them. I was disappointed I didn't even get a call or text or email back saying an estimate, or even that they were too busy to do the work.

Rod is very easy to work with. Several changes were made by me and he nicely did all of them without being disgruntled! He does nice work. He was always on time and I trusted him when I wasnt home. He completed the job sooner than I expected. He always cleaned up every day before he left. This remodeling job was a real good experience. I would hire again and I highly recommend him!!

He is a perfectionist, does excellent work, cleans up well, and is personable. I would highly recommend him.

For years our microwave set on a counter in our kitchen, taking up valuable counter space. When it caught on fire, we decided to have one installed over the stove. We purchased the microwave and new cabinet, and paid Rod $500 to install it (he picked-up the the cost of the wiring). Rod knew exactly what he was doing. He was able to slip out the old cabinet without disturbing the cabinets already there and put in the new one. This was necessary since the old cabinet was too long. He ran a separate electric line because the existing electric for the stove hood wouldn't work. He then installed the new microwave. We've had Rod do many things for us and I would never call anyone else. As always, when Rod leaves our home I am smiling, because something has been repaired or upgraded.

Rodney and Greg were a great pair to work with. They arrived on time, giving me a heads up when they were near. They were polite and very efficient working together. The variety of the jobs I had were so diverse, I wasn't sure who in the community could do the jobs. Fortunately, Angie's list provided me with their company. I will definitely use them again and even have ideas for future projects.

Rodney is not just a handyman, but a true craftsman and skilled job planner. We had some ideas about what we wanted in a bathroom rehab, but Rodney expanded and improved upon those, greatly enhancing the final product. Ours is a log home with two intersecting log walls in the bathroom, requiring hand tracing/scribing of the drywall and custom fitting of the beadboard ceiling. Additionally, Rodney notched the logs adjacent to the shower stall so that the porcelain tile fit seamlessly into the wall. See the above description for other custom features that Rodney designed. The job was finished on time (about 3 weeks), on budget and my wife raved about how clean/organized Rodney and his crew were---careful to sweep the area and store tools/supplies in our garage at the end of each day. We had a delay in special ordering our Jacuzzi that stalled the project for about a week, but Rodney cheerfully suggested he could fit another small job in between. Rod also disposed of all demolition refuse during/after the project. In general we found Rod and his crew to be professional, highly skilled, punctual and pleasant. This was the second job that Rod's Home Improvements has done for us and we have a third one currently booked.

Overall the entire remodel experience was most satisfactory and not the nightmare something like this fairly extensive project might have been. I would recommend Rod's Home Improvement without reservation and would (and will) use his services again.

Rodney did a fantastic job. He was punctual, clean and very thorough; he paid great attention to detail. Rodney, knowing that we were planning on selling the house, gave us advice on how to keep down the cost. He came everyday, often stayed late, and kept us up to date on the progress. I would highly recommend Rodney to anyone in need of a handyman/contractor. I am positive that we will use him again.

We contact Rod's Home Improvement and spoke to Rod's wife, Teresa. She told us she would have Rod call us back - and he did! I found that many contractors don't even bother to call. Rod came out the next day and gave us an estimate for repairing the door and the rotting wood in the sub floor and under the thresold. Rod quoted $500, and we felt that was very fair for the work - we would buy the door and some of the other materials, and he would do the work. We also discussed a drainage issue we had between the patio and the back of the house. The concrete step outside the door needed to be removed for Rod to do his work, and he suggested that we have the flower bed between the house and patio filled with concrete. This would entail him removing and then replacing the some of the siding. For this he charged us an additional $150. Even though Rod doesn?t do concrete work, he had a friend with a concrete company who could do the work. Rod coordinated the project with the concrete company, and that took a lot of stress off of us. This was refreshing as all of the contractors we spoke with indicated that we would have to find a concrete company on our own and coordinate the work. On the day the concrete company was coming to remove the step they were delayed and Teresa (Rod's wife) called to keep us posted on their progress, and finally when we could expect them. This touch of professionalism was much appreciated. After the step was removed Rod came out and did the work ? removing the old doors, replacing all of the rotted wood, making changes that would ensure we wouldn?t have water damage in the future and installing the new door. After this was done the concrete company put in a new step and poured concreted between the old patio and the house. Rod then came back out to reinstall the siding and do the finishing work. We are so pleased with Rod?s quality of work, professionalism and price. We were really stressed out about this project and he made it so easy for us. We?ve already asked for quote on another project we?ve been putting off. In the future I will call Rod for any home repairs we have.
