The lines to the garage work as expected I will only use Hayes Electric Services after such a positive experience. Thank you.

Prompt to show up and did excellent work

I've used Hayes Electric before and had a great experience. Friendly technicians and kept the place clean. This time we had a different technician and it was good. There are a few marks on one of the sconces, but I can't say whether they were there prior to the installation or not. I also approved the ceiling fan not being flush with the ceiling because I was assured that it's secure and that it would have cost more to put in a new box to make flush. I'm okay with it and approved it, but going to give quality a lower mark for this since I think it should have just been done the right way and discussed with me before completed. Since it was addressed after I felt I needed to okay it because it would just add more time (and money) to redo. It's secure though, so should be okay. Overall the technician was professional and it was a good experience. I will continue to use Hayes Electric.

The actual work done was fine. I was quite disappointed in the pricing and manner in which the work took place. I had electric boxes installed previously and the electrician pointed out that they were plastic and needed to be metal to hold the weight. I did appreciate this information. He said he had to go to the store to get the boxes. I found this odd in that I would expect this to be a standard item carried in the truck. I let this go as I thought he would be back quick. There was actually a hardware store only 5 minutes away and I could have got them. However the electrician left and was not back for an hour. He then completed the work in about 2 hours which was with the time frame of the Angies Special I purchased for $185. The bill, though, was for an additional $145 and that covered the time he was gone getting the part. I called the owner to seek clarification and he said that they never know what they may need on the job so they had to go get the part. I told him I found this odd but he said he was sorry but nothing further. After getting off the phone I thought about it further. I am not seeking a refund as I agree with changing the boxes. I am, though, quite disappointed in the additional charge for the time to get two electric boxes. It was known that ceiling fans were being installed and I would expect them to be prepared in case there is something wrong with the current boxes. It's my fault for having the wrong boxes and I understand it. On the other side I would expect them to be prepared much better and even if they needed to go back, advise me that the time will be charged and give me the option for a decision or going down the street to get the boxes. All in all I could not recommend them for service. Leon learned.

Done in 3 days with prompt and friendly service. Keith work with only one other worker yet the work was done efficiently and with little service interruption and inconvenience to us. Highly recommended.

This was an awesome deal from an EXCELLENT electrician and I am so glad I purchased it. Keith Hayes is friendly, professional, knowledgeable and very talented. He made everything he did look so easy! I had attempted to install a basement ceiling light myself but, ended up with a tangle of 10 wires I couldn't figure out. Keith graciously fixed my mess and installed a total of five fixtures for me including: removing an old ceiling fan and installing a new light and light switch for it that had previously been wired incorrectly, getting an antique fixture to fit in my hallway, replacing an outdoor motion sensor light, and hanging three more LED lights in the basement. He did great job and I am so happy I can cross those to-do items off my LONG list. I would definitely hire him again. Thanks, Keith!

He was there on time, was very courteous, and answered several questions I had about the safety of other wiring I had in the house. Since my house was built in 1961, I wanted to be assured that the old wiring was safe.

We decided to work with Hayes because he seemed like a good guy and his pricing was competitive. The new electrical box was in preparation for a new HVAC being installed the next week. At the first appointment we stressed the importance of the additional circuits needed for the new HVAC. Hayes finished the installation but didn't label the circuits. They said they were locked out of the upstairs, they weren't, and they never even called to double check. I had to take time off to meet the inspector, Hayes didn't show up and I found myself assuring the inspector Hayes would finish the work so I could get him to approve the work. As it turns out, Hayes never installed the HVAC circuits that were the point of replacing the electrical box. I called Hayes while the HVAC workers were on site and ended up hanging up the phone because of his lack of responsiveness. He did end up dropping off the circuits the same day but was rude and angry. He left the circuits to be installed by the HVAC guys. I mistakenly paid Hayes before they completed the labeling part of the job, and they disappeared. Hayes seemed to be capable of good work, but for me they missed the point, never completed the install or labeling. I never would have heard from them again, if I had not contacted them, first. We exchanged some emails but he never took responsibility for any of it. Ill have to label the circuits my self and now don't have a relationship with the electrician who installed my electrical box. Eventually, Hayes offered to put me back on their schedule to complete the work but I'm reluctant to let them in every corner of my home if they can't be professional in the street, in front of my house. I really thought about it a long time. Its a shame, I debated not leaving a comment but the experience has left me irritated. Also, if your not going to be professional, maybe don't advertise on Angie's List.

Old fans with remotes that were not working properly were removed. New fans were installed. As per our request, switches that before were not used now control the fans.

Completed the task on the same day that I contacted them. And called several times to give me updates on when someone would arrive. Wonderful service!

Keith Hayes and his assistants have always been courteous, professional, and helpful. Plus they've always done outstanding electrical work.

He emails/texts and kept us up to date all the time. We had to wait a little until he could find the lights and fixtures at a price he was happy with. He told us about having to find them from the get go. So, we were fine with that. the first ones he thought were too much and wanted to keep on hunting which was fine with. he kept us up to date all the time. It took 2 1/2 weeks or so to find them. Then he set up a time with us for the installation which was within a week. On the day of instillation he called and asked if he could come early. We were happy with that and said, sure. He came by himself and did it all himself. He said he had another person, but did not need him for this job. He was very efficient, neat, and tidy. I watched him do most of the work. I was very impressed with everything he did. It took him less than 3 hours to do the whole thing. I was shocked that it went so well. I don't think he could have done it any better if he had taken all day. I would use him again in a heart beat. For all he did and provided I was very happy with the total cost to us.

When Ryan cut the whole for the switch he found a metal plate that prohibited him from running the why in the correct place and had to open a whole in the bottom of the wall in order to drill through the metal. All said, there was some extra work due to unforeseen issues, but I was not charged extra, which is very appreciated. Although we now have a small patched area to paint, it was patched in and everything cleaned up really well, so not a big deal at all. Ryan was also personal and professional. I'd hire Hayes Electric again based on this experience for sure.

Keith arrived 30 minutes before our appointment and was able to rewire the fan/light/heater in the bathroom easily with no hesitation. This was a task that was too much for another electrician who had looked at it earlier. That electrician had said that to electrify that fixture, the knob and tube wiring in the wall and ceiling would have to be replaced. Keith had no such problem, did not replace any knob and tube wiring, and said he has done a lot of work in other older homes in Hyde Park. He was able to tell that the fan motor was not working so he took it with him to have it repaired. He will return and reinstall it within about 10 days. Keith also ran a new line from the circuit breaker panel to a new light in the basement. There were no problems and no mess to clean up. He was very professional and easy to work with. He obviously knows his craft.

He was very professional and fine. He did the job and was out of here. What I admire was his professionalism and he seemed to know what he was doing. The way he spoke and I ask him for a business card and he gave it to me. I have already recommended him to somebody and he was clean and dressed with his name on his shirt. I like his manners.

It was excellent. First of all, his bid was half of what another person's was. That was the second time we've used him and we're planning on using him a third time. His prices are competitive. He is very punctual. He is very helpful in making suggestions. We're just very, very pleased.

Keith gave us an estimate on electrical work at my son's new (old) house including: Furnish all material and labor necessary to install new 150 Amp overhead electric service with new outdoor meter base. Install new 150 Amp main breaker box and reconnect and label all circuits. Install necessary grounding as required by code and provide permits and inspections. Replace 3 light fixtures. Check all receptacles throughout for proper wiring and advise necessary repairs. I thought it was a good price quote for the amount of work but, my son decided to go with a friend's recommendation. I would have chosen Keith! He was very professional, knowledgeable, prompt and thorough. His company actually did work for me at my house a couple years ago and I was extremely satisfied with the work and the price.

I just wanted to write this, because Keith was so helpful to us. We are going through a house sale with a very difficult buyers realtor, one who constantly changes her mind about what she wants done. Keith has been extremely helpful in providing estimates, making time to schedule repairs, and then even more gracious when we've had to cancel at the last minute because our buyer changes her mind. He is very responsive, quoted very reasonable prices, and was extremely helpful and flexible. If/when we finally beed an electrician, he will definitely be the one we call.

Keith and Ryan did a great job! We are doing a total remodel of a condominium we had purchased...all new kitchen and baths and rewiring...specifically new lighting (recessed and fixtures) throughout along with all electrical outlet needs/safety. They were on time everyday and kept awesome communication with me. I highly recommend. Keith promptly return my first call that I made to him, and I was able to tell that he is very honest and reliable, which meant a great deal. I think his quote and ultimately his final price is fair.
