Keith showed up on time (he did call first, which was appreciated), I filled him in on what issues I wanted him to look at, and he got right to work. I had a list of possible problems which I wanted him to look at, and we got through all of them, one at a time. I always felt that I had his full attention, despite the fact that one can tell he is very much in demand. In any case, he did so well, I asked for an estimate for some additional work. That is probably the best type of recommendation which I can give...

He was professional, on time and performed all work as agreed. He also came back to finish the exterior item on a Saturday, due to poor weather on a previous day. I would definitely use Hayes Electric again and would recommend him to others.

The work was done quickly. All questions were answered professionally. Advice on future projects was given sincerely. Clean up was complete.

The whole experience was great. I scheduled the work about 2 weeks in advance, and Keith showed up on time on the expected day. He quickly identified the GFI outlet that was causing the problems with my outdoor outlets, then moved on to repair my attic fan. Because the fan was heat-activated, he even made sure it was working properly by blowing hot air on it with a hair dryer! I was impressed that he went that little extra step to be sure that everything was working to his (and my) satisfaction. My impression was that Keith was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, and also reasonably priced. I would certainly use his company again.

Keith Hayes, the owner of the company, was very polite when he answered the phone to schedule the service. He had quite a few calls due to The Big Deal, so I had to wait a couple of weeks for him to come out, which for this situation wasn't a big deal. He was running a few minutes late, but called to let me know. He was still very close to being on time. He is very friendly and easy to talk to. He started at the circuit breaker box and worked his way around the system checking for loose connections. He determined the problem was probably due to one alarm which was not compatible with the rest. He removed it. He checked for compatibility of two of the original alarms to the house to four new alarms. He read the instructions for the new alarm and gave me some tips. We determined at this time that the best course of action was to replace three of the alarms with new ones that were of the same brand of the new ones installed about a year ago. He also told me to make sure to reset the alarms when installed to make sure they are activated. All alarms should have a solid green rather than a blinking green. Keith is super easy to talk to and was very thorough in checking everything out. I will definitely have him back for any of my electrical needs.

Great. Keith visted ahead of time to provide a quote and reviewed the job site. He aligned on the work date ahead of time and showed up as planned. He executed the work in a timely, professional fashion. It looks and works great. Exactly what we wanted.

Keith is a saint. First, he came to give me an estimate. I needed wiring for a new garage light and I had an outside receptacle that didn't work. The estimate was acceptable and we agreed on a day for the work. Keith called early the day before and thought that was the day we had agreed. By the time he had arrived, he realized he had made a mistake. As it happened, it was not a problem for me so he started the work. He was finished quickly, had no excuses (as others have had about why they could not do as they had promised), did the work professionally, I paid him and he left. This was great for me as I am so accustomed to people's excuses that my condo is not built right, has odd plumbing or has some other feature that prevents them from completing the job. Keith had no problems with all the quirks. Great experience and made me thankful for Angie's List. His sainthood is based on how he dealt with me and a later problem I had with the outside receptacle. I tried to plug in a new extension cord when I did a trial run on new Christmas lights. I couldn't get the plug to go in the socket. I pushed and leaned and pounded on the plug, but it wasn't budging. I checked on the internet and didn't see a solution. I emailed Keith and he responded within a few hours. He gave me directions on how to manage the situation, and I tried that. Nothing. I got a hammer and tried again. Still nothing. So I got pushy and ominous in my next email. (I didn't threaten anything, but it was getting frustrating.) So Keith comes by on his way home from a job on a Friday afternoon. (It was somewhat out of his way.) And he manages to get the plug to go in, but it was hard to do. After inspecting the plug, he determines it's mostly the plug on the extension cord and partly one of the sockets. (I may have damaged the tamper-protection feature on that one in my attempts.) I felt like an idiot, but I know I would not have gotten that plug in and I would have had a less than good experience. It never occurred to me that a brand new outside extension cord was not right. Keith never indicated what an idiot he had to think I was. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Initially, we contacted an electrician (that was recommended by a friend), which ended up to be very unreliable. Thus we decided to renew right away our Angie's list membership and choose somebody with very good credentials. This is how we got in touch with Keith. After we explained him that we were under a time constraint he promised that even though he is booked for the rest of the week, he will find time to solve our problem before our deadline. That is exactly what he did ! (I even suspect that he skipped his lunch break to help us.) He executed his job beautifully, and we were very impressed with his love and dedication for what he does. After he was done, everything was spot clean. He even reprogrammed the electric stove clock.:) We will use Hayes Electric Services Inc. in the future, and make sure we will definitively highly recommend him to our friends.

Keith was prompt and professional from start to finish. He was clearly knowledgeable and set to work once he knew exactly what I wanted. When I described the job to him over the phone, he was honest about what the pitfalls might be, and made good suggestions to minimize the extra cost when he arrived to to the job.

I had Keith over to my house to fix a non-functioning outlet. While he was there I had him look at and quote some work i wanted done in my living room. I had 2 recessed lights on one side of the room and 2 lights on a track on the other. the track lights had to be plugged into a wall outlet and not connected to a switch. Keith sent me an official quote for the work I wanted done that night. We scheduled a time, and he showed up on time. He put protective coverings down over my floor and furniture since he would be cutting into the ceiling. He installed the recessed lights and connected them to the existing ones. All four are now connected to the same switch and light the whole room. He added a hookup for a ceiling fan and ran the wiring to the designated spot. He installed the fan. There was a slight wobble to it (I barely noticed it), but he insisted on taking the fan down and tightening it up to stop the movement. He patched up the ceiling, cleaned up any mess made and even vacuumed up the drywall dust from the carpet. He ensured everything was functional and to my satisfaction before leaving for the day. He was great to have over, he knows his trait very well. I will definitely use his services again when the opportunity presents itself.

Keith was very responsive from the beginning, easy to schedule an estimate, took his time to look at all our needs. Consolidating panels, upgrading service, eliminating old wiring, extra curcuits for garage and living room ceiling fan/ closet light and kids room space heater and air conditioner and last but not least basement remodel. We started and finished the first project with him, which was the upgrading the amperage and a new service panel and the electricity in the garage. He was on time, communicated very well on what he was doing, finished in a timely fashion, cleaned up nicely. We were very happy with the price especially since other companies quoted significantly higher. And we were very pleased to get started with one week after we decided to use his service.

We received a used hot tub and needed to have a dedicated outlet installed outside. The electric box was on one side of the house the the hot tub the other. Keith had run the line through a finished basement ceiling. He did a fine job.

The overall experience was terrific from the time I called, until he finished the work.

Keith responded quickly and we set up the first appointment on the day I initially contacted him. We had a series of five or six items that needed to be looked at and corrected if required. Some of the items we knew needed to be fixed and some we wanted inspected and corrected if required. He quickly corrected two of the items on the first visit which were covered under the $99.00 Angies Big Deal. At that first visit, he gave us a not to exceed T&M estimate for the remaining work and we set up another time to complete the work. He was on time both times and got right to work. As he was installing one of the ceiling fan boxes he discovered that the wall switch controlling that box was wired incorrectly and he fixed that too. Everything was done quickly and at the total price came in under the estimate. We were quite pleased with the work and highly recommend Hayes Electric.

We first met Keith when we took advantage of his $99 coupon for an hour of electrical work; an incredible deal. Keith was running behind schedule, but was in constant contact with me to apprise m\e of his ETA, I was very appreaciatve of this courtesy and professionalism. Keith went right to work on installing a ceiling fan and chandlier on the first floor and installing a ceiling fan in the MBR. Eventhough these tasks took over an hour, Keith made sure to finish the job correcty and did not charge for the overtime. Since we moved into a 100 year old house, we were a little concerned about the electical systems of the house. Keith took the time to walk around the house with me, looked over the breaker box and throughly explained the state of the wiring in the house; which I am happy to report is in good condition. Keith spent the next 1/2 hour looking over other porojects that I wanted to have estimated, which was emailed in a timely and easy to understand manner. Keith understood that we didn't have the budget to do everything at once and was willing to break up the work to accomodate us. The next visit Keith installed a new outlet and grounded it for use with our electronics. He also installed a new three-way switch and outlet in the kitchen and installed a light fixture in the guest bathroom. I was extremely satsifed with the results. Keith is a cosnumate professional and very knowledgable electrician. He shows passion and respect for his work, and will take the extra time to explain the proccess and options he can take for any particular job. I would reccomend Keith to anyone looking for an electrican in the Cincinnati area; in fact, he will be returning to our house for the next round of projects soon.

I used Hayes Electric from Angie's big deal and got 2 hours for $99. It was the best $99 I have ever spent and I will continue to use Keith for all of my electric needs and recommend him highly to everyone. I had to spend a little extra for supplies and time, well worth it At first we were scheduled for 8:30 and I asked him if he could come earlier. He arrived at 7:30, the time I really hoped he would come. So right off the bat he was punctual and professional. The ceiling fan could have been a problem, you don't know about those things until you see them. However, he figured out how to do it quickly and went to work immediately. The dishwasher didn't run and my husband really wanted this fixed, the same as above. Replacement of porch light went safely and easily. Keith is professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, cleaned up after the work and didn't waste any time. I highly recommend Keith and Hayes Electric. I was lucky to have the deal but I will continue to use him.

I purchased the "Big Deal" on Angie's List from Hayes Electric - 2 hours of electrical work for $99.00. Keith came to my home on time; unfortunately, his wife had a flat tire, so he had to leave for a bit. Thank goodness chivalry is still alive. It was not a problem as I was home for the day. He took down a ceiling fan in the living room and placed it in a bedroom upstairs. He then installed a new ceiling fan in the living room. After that, he installed two new lights in the basement. Lastly, he answered several questions about bathroom fans and outside lighting. I hope I have a chance to work with Hayes Electric next Spring for outside lighting.

While i wound up not taking Keith's bid he was terrific and extremely professional and pleasant to work with!! We sent the appointment for him to be at my home he called when he was on his way to to meet me and showed up on time!! After dealing with a lot of other contractors this was a refreshing experience! As I said I was able to save a bit of money by going with another guy....for any future needs or for anyone needing an electrical contractor I would highly recommend Hayes Electric and Keith!!

Mr. Hayes was puntual and professional in the installation of my ceiling fan. He was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed haveing him here, very much like having family come to help, excecept he knew what he was doing. I would recommend him for future jobs..
