Description of Work: I purchased a big deal service from Hayes Electric Services Inc. for 2 hours of electrical labor. We had him put in an outside outlet so we could hook up our Christmas lights easier.

Description of Work: Removed 4 existing ceiling fans that have been in house since we purchased 15 years ago and probably long before that. Installed 4 new ceiling fans. Only two were alike. So three distinct fans to install. Numerous parts for each. Required a great deal of knowledge and ability to read electrical diagrahms to install. Installed all four and cleaned up in 4 hours. I was disappointed that the technician was 1 hour late (2:00 instead of 1:00) but they had called in the morning to say they would be coming in the afternoon. All in all, a very good experience.

Description of Work: Absolutely wonderful! More done in an hour than I could believe - new wall outlet (in plaster wall) and turned 2 prong into GFI outlet...plus resolved a couple dead outlets. Respectful and cleaned up thoroughly- highly recommend. These guys are my electricians from here on out!

Description of Work: My garbage disposal wasn't working. I self-diagnosed (wrongly, I might add) that it was an electrical issue because the switch to the disposal was loose. Hayes came out and quickly figured out that the disposal was getting electricity, so the unit must be bad. He did replace the switch. While he was there, I had him check a ceiling fan that wasn't working. He found that the fan had been wired improperly. He rewired it and it is working again.

Description of Work: We lost power to our external detached garage at approximately 11am. It just went dead. I checked all the main box breakers etc and could not work out why this happened. Obviously the loss of power to our garage door - more than anything else - was a huge inconvenience and something which needed to be rectified asap. I came here to Angie's list and called one name on the list of local electricians. They were helpful but said they couldn't come out to troubleshoot the problem for at least 48 hours. I then called Hayes and spoke to the owner Keith. He said he would be out to see us later that same afternoon and would call us back when he was on his way. True to his word he called back just two hours later and was at our door a few minutes after that. He identified the power supply problem very quickly and solved it within the first hour. Yes - as is often the case - it was something very simple but I nevertheless appreciated his promptness, courtesy and professionalism in dealing with it. I will have no hesitation in calling him back to perform other electrical work in our home as and when needs demand. I was very impressed with the response & service. Thank you Keith!

Description of Work: They responded quickly. We did not get the Angie's list discount. We are new to Angie's list and may not have made it clear that was why we called. We have had no problem with the replacement of the electrical meter base and outside wiring. It passed inspection with Duke on the first visit.

Description of Work: Most of our light switches crackle now and one has a definite delay that wasn't there before. Nice person but have not and will not use his services again. Probably will not subscribe to Angie's List either - listed providers tend to be on the high end of prices and the deals are not real deals...I could do a lot better with my network of friends who agree with me re: Angie's (just thought you should know since you keep soliciting me-no acrimony toward the vendor or with Angie's, just the facts).

Description of Work: It was the night before Thanksgiving, about 10 pm, when all the outlets in the kitchen went out. It did not look like any of the circuit breaker switches were tripped but I reset them all to no avail. I got on Angie's list and picked three or four people/companies, one of which I had used before, and left a message with each. Within minutes, Keith called me back, did some simple troubleshooting over the phone and the problem was fixed. I have yet to hear from any of the other people I called!

We had a number of small electrical jobs that had been waiting for a while and we wanted to get everything done. The electrician from Hayes came out and quickly polished off all of the to_do jobs: putting a new outlet in a storage area in the basement, assessing a noisy ceiling fan, and assessing an outside porch light that was not working. We were very pleased with the work. He was quite professional and communicated well. We have already hired him again to install a new ceiling fan. We will use him again if we have a need for electrical work,

Description of Work: Bought an Angie's list deal which gave me 1/2 off of services. Had to schedule service weeks in advance. He canceled once, which worked out better for me anyway. Asked him to give estimates for additional work and he said he would send me an e-mail with this info, but never has sent me anything. Got job done in an hour. I had to go get a part or he would have charged me time for getting it. Hecdidn't have his regular truck with usual parts he carries b/ c he gave it to his new employee. He knocked an unused 2 gallon jug of antifreeze off shelf and it broke and spilled. He did clean it up, but never offered to replace or compensate me for the loss. He did install an outdoor security light, so I did get what I paid for given the Angie's list deal.

He was very courteous, explained what he was going to do, and completed replacing some non-working basement lighting(now works for the first time in years), and installing some new outdoor electric plugs. Excellent job!!! Highly recommend

Description of Work: Keith was a really great guy. Very professional and personable. I needed a grouded outlet put in the family room of my house. The house was built in the 30's and the wiring is very confusing. It took a long time and Keith was a big help. He fished the wire through a basement ceiling, wall and into the room. It sounded simple, but was very tedious and complex. I asked for a bid on upgrading my electrical box. He provided it and it seems fair. I plan to have him out to do the work in the future. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hayes Electric! Great Job, Fair price.

Description of Work: Hayes Electric completed all the electrical work for a bathroom remodel which included re-wiring for a GFI outlet, adding an exhaust fan, and light. The work was completed promptly, professionally, and affordably. So shines a bright light in a weary remodeling world.

Description of Work: changed out 3 different electric outlets in my home, added GFI plugs in one room. Did trouble shooting on a switch in another room that was giving us shocks when we used it. He was there for 3 1/2 hours working, did a great job. He also moved one of the outlets for easier use.
