Deceptive Business Practices by Jesse. I was told by Jesse that I needed all new hardwood floors because my floors were too thin to sand. Jesse quoted $12,000 for new floors. I couldn't spend $12,000 on new floors so I spent several months chemical stripping the floors and trying to do a light sand because Jesse told me the floors were too thin to sand. I finally called another local contractor to see if the floors could be professionally sanded because I was exhausted and my back was in pain. I hired the contractor and he did dustless sanding and refinished the floors which look like new floors now. (See the photos I attached to this review.) The contractor I hired knew Jesse and told me Jesse just wanted to cheat me out of $12,000 for new flooring. How would Jesse like it if someone lied to him and caused him months of work and agony?

I would definitely contact them the next time I need anything.

Great. Looks amazing

First of all, Jesse was very prompt and punctual in coming to give an estimate to do the work on our house. The pricing seemed to be right in line with the market. It wasn't incredibly low or high, but I got the feeling that I would like working with these folks. We scheduled well in advance to line up with a vacation and this worked out great with them and us since we needed to be out of the house for at least a couple of days anyways, so I can't comment on getting scheduled short notice. The work proceeded pretty much exactly as they said it would. They ended up starting a few hours late due to needing to finish up some work at another house. The guys showed up and went right to work sanding the floors. We left on our vacation and returned a few days later to floors that exceeded my expectations. They look amazing! I highly recommend the "velvet" finish on the polyurethane. It was what they recommended and it is great; not to shiny and not to dull. Speaking of which, Jesse came out and sanded the portion and left some samples. This was very helpful and I think he would have left as many colors as I saw fit and was very responsive to my feedback with what I was looking for. I would also like to commend Rachel on her customer service and feedback to me. She was quick to put me in contact with Jesse when I had a question for him, followed up to confirm everything before the work began, and was knowledgable with all of the questions I threw at her. Monica was equally up to task and was very courteous when I called and even came out to help clean things up once the floors were completed. Finally, the guys that came out to refinish the floors were very nice and were clearly guys that I can trust. It seems to me that refinishing floors is somewhat unique in that you pretty much need to be out of the house when the work is being done. I did, and would trust these guys to have access to my house while I am away for 5 days. I really can't do much to pay them a higher complement than that since we have already covered that their work was superb. Wichita Wood Flooring Specialists have the personal touch of an independent family-owned operation that I love. Overall, everyone I came in contact with was very knowledgeable and passionate about getting the job done to my satisfaction. They are a great example of a small business that is doing things right. I see a lot of growth in their future since I can't imagine getting a better experience than I did and will definitely be recommending them to anyone having anything done with their wood floors.

Showed up on time. Did a a very good job. Cleaned up after self. They did what they said they would do. I did not get the workman's name but Rachel Sample was very nice.

Went well. Reasonable cost estimate. set up work schedule. started & completed project on time Within estimated cost. workers were professional & considerate of our needs.

Jesse's estimate was reasonable and he seems like a good person to work with so far. So far, so good.

We have an approximately 50 year old home. We went to the home show in our area and set up several companies for bids on getting our floors refinished. Wood Floor specialists were not the highest bid or the lowest bid. I had a feeling from the first time they came out for the estimate that they would do the floors the way I imagined them looking. I was not disappointed. The floors were sanded and in one bedroom they had to scrape old foam backing off the floor, after the sanding you would never have guessed that there was any flaws in the floor. I ask them to stain to match the existing baseboards and it was so close it was unbelievable. They moved to large pieces of furniture and when I mentioned that because one room the baseboards were set for carpet and I was going to have to replace it. They offered to stain and install the new baseboards. They cleaned up after themselves and the dust was minimal. I would recommend this company for anyone wanting to have flooring refinished. My floors and totally new looking and beautiful.
