Mr. Scott Truett responded quickly to my call, with an inspection and detailed estimate, within 2 days. The job was completed 3 days later (after weekend). Residual materials cleanup left the work area and yard spotless. Overall very satisfactory job performance.

The installation went very well. I came home from work and there were about a dozen men working on the roof. They were done in a short amount of time.

Everything was fine. The workers were great. They were on time. They left the area fine. It doesn't leak. So I suppose it was good.

It went really well. They were professional and did a good job.

Told me it was too narrow at the slant to see anything. He said he applied protection on top of the shingles involved.

It took longer than expected to get them out here, we live approximately 65 miles from Wichita, but after a two day delay, they were here on time, did the work very efficiently, and cleaned up extremely well. We found very little debris from the work after they left, considering the amount of shingles and nails that had been removed from our old roof. One downside to the job was that they had backed a large trailer up to our front porch area to get all the debris and when they pulled it out after it was full, it cracked our sidewalk and left large tire tracks in the ground around the concrete. I did report this to the person at Truett. They offered to send out someone to fix it but I declined since I had already filled in the tracks and replanted grass and took care of the other problems with little effort.

Response time was great, they arrived the same morning. The Truett roofer called me directly to discuss the scope of work and for authorization to start the job, and the price would be $650.00. Responding to a $99.00 special, and then being told "the special is no longer available" is one thing. To see the same special STILL being promoted (three days later) on Angieslist is another. Whether this is false advertising or a "bait and switch" game, I can't say - but most of all, I was unhappy that they tried to charge me SO much for such a SMALL job. I ended up calling someone else who did the job for under $200.00.

I'm very pleased with their attention to detail and quality of work. I will definitely use them again.

I wanted an estimate on gutter repair and all I got was an estimate on a new roof & gutters.

talthe repair and painting was completed in two day.

The crew showed up a little later than expected but then again we live in the middle of nowhere, but they spent about 11 hours working very steady on a very hot, muggy day. The next day we had the guttering replaced and it was completed by the time I got home from work.

Well Done without any damage to the property.

Hail damage was in the spring. Waited until end of the season to avoid the tight schedules / low competition period immediately after the storms. Estimator and office staff were professional. Were very competitive on price. They completed the roof replacement within 2 weeks of signed contract. Started in the late afternoon one day, done 24 hours later. Inspected the roof during the work and I didn't see any shortcuts. Looked like a quality, sound job. Roofers were courteous and safety conscious. They swept the drive and rolled the yard for nails - I found only five or so nails around in the weeks after (which I would expect). Gutters went in a few months later (as expected) due to winter setting in. Got the job done on a warm break in the weather, but didn't call ahead of time before coming. Did a professional job - everything looked clean and sound. Would use them again. A friend recommended them to me in the first place. I've already recommended them to a coworker.

I must say the office help was fantastic and very helpful and made sure that I didn't have too much coming out of pocket costs. I did not deal with the roofers so I really can't say there. The only complaint I have was that there was 3 nails laying at the beginning of my driveway when I pulled in, and of course I didn't see them until after I pulled in.. A piece of shingle hanging from the roof on the west side of my house.But other than that I was satisfied.

I called Truett Roofing for an estimate after a recent hail storm. I was contacted soon after by a guy named Corby. We scheduled a time to meet and he was actually on site ahead of time, so that was a good sign. The meeting went very quickly and he really didn't spend much time looking at my roof or gutters that were needing replaced. I had some other issues that I wanted addressed while re-roofing the house. He did not take any notes, and never even got on the roof. He claimed that he checked the Eagle View before coming to my house to get estimated measurements. He very briefly showed me a sample of the roofing that they prefer to use and that was basically it. I explained that there was some damage to some window wraps on the front of the house. He said that he would have to have his window guy come out to look before he could prepare the estimate. He said that he would have an estimate to me by Monday. Monday came and went, Tuesday came and went, and finally Wednesday, I called to see if they had completed my estimate. I explained that I had met with Corby the previous week and he said that I would have an estimate by that following Monday. The girl that I spoke with said that she would contact him and have him call me back. I got a call from another lady a couple hours later asking me if I was needing someone to come out and look at a roof problem. I explained that they had already had a guy out the previous week to look at my issue. I told her that per Corby, I should have had my estimate on that previous Monday and that was the reason for my earlier call. I understand that sometimes things fall through the cracks, but I was really not that impressed with any of the interaction that I had with anybody from Truett Roofing. Corby did not seem very thorough, he didn't take any notes as I was explaining the scope of work that I wanted done. He didn't seem very concerned with what I was trying to explain to him. The gal in the office didn't even know that they had been to my house the previous week for an estimate. I just explained to her that I didn't feel comfortable having work done by them if they could not coordinate and follow up with customers any better that this. This may have been an isolated incident with Truett Roofing, but because of this, I don't think I would ever consider them for any roofing projects in the future. Communication is very important, and I feel that this was one of the big things lacking when considering Truett. If I could make any suggestions, it would be to 1) pay attention and take notes when meeting with a potential customer and listen to what they are saying, 2) spend time checking out the property.. even if Eagle View saves time, it doesn't leave a good impression on a customer if you don't physically get up and check things out, 3) communicate. Not only with the customer, but as a company. I was very agitated to find out that the office either had no record of the meeting between Corby and myself, or that they didn't take the time to review or check to see if they had been out already. I was actually blown away that I would even get a call like that.

Smoothly. Early start anderaly finish. Cleaned up well afterwards.

They did a good job. It's been a year now and we are pleased with the way things have held up. It took a little while for things to get started, but once it was, the job went smoothly and without issue.

The person doing the estimate was prompt, gave a great estimate, and was very professional. On the scheduled day, no one showed, the day after, no one showed, when I called, was told they forgot to tell me they had to reschedule for a conflict. On the newly scheduled day, they didn't show, when I called, was told they would start in the afternoon, still didn't show. They arrived at 10:00 the next day and started to work. The roofing went great, everything was cleaned up quickly, but the gutters were forgotten. After receiving the bill, I called to inquire as to why I am paying the bill when the work was not done, was told the gutters were overlooked. The crew showed up 2 weeks later and put up some great looking gutters and down spouts in just a couple of hours. Overall I am very happy with the work, they just need to work on the scheduling portion of the company.

It took longer to get completed because I had to get a new chimney installed first and we had to go back to the insurance company a second time with additional work the original adjuster did not include. Once they started, it was completed within a couple of days and the clean up was excellent. Robin (scheduler and billing) was very courteous, professional, and helpful with every question or concern I had during the process. I am a small business owner and she is the type of employee I would hire in a minute. I particularly appreciated the additional savings I received with Truett's coupon on the job.

Service was provided on a timely basis and was completed within the time frame indicated by the sales representative.

I had hail damage. 5 broken shingles and one decking puncture. I also had a problem with some flashing. I called and they sent someone out who inspected my roof. He put a shingle over my decking puncture and then I received a written proposal in the mail which I returned by mail. Their office manager called me and set up a time to do the repairs. The repairs were made and they sent me an invoice by mail. Afterward my neighbor made the comment that he had a good experience with them previously.They are professional and timely. I recommend them based on this one experience.

Based on Angie's List reviews and coupon I contacted them by email and requested an estimate. Instead of replying to my email I received a telephone call to set up an appointment. A date and time was set but "Lou" showed up at a different time than we had agreed on and I wasn't home. My wife called me and I agreed to allow Lou to look at my roof which had been damaged by a recent hail storm. Lou requested to be here when the insurance adjuster came by so that the two of them could discuss the damage and I agreed to his request. The adjuster and Lou looked at the roof together but Lou left before the adjuster finished then returned a while later to present me with his estimate. Lou's estimate was about $500 higher than my insurance adjuster's estimate but after some quick math by Lou he brought his estimate down to $2 under the insurance estimate. There were allowance made for a yard sign placement and the Angie's List coupon included in the lower estimate but these should not have been taken from Lou's original estimate. Taking every allowance or discount into consideration Lou's estimate should actually have been $500 under insurance even after my deductible was applied. While I questioned Lou at the time it wasn't until he left and I did some recalculating that I realized that his math was incorrect. I immediately contacted him by email and showed him where the estimate was incorrect. He replied to that message the following day but didn't provide a revised estimate. Another message was sent to him asking for a revised estimate to which he didn't reply. Four days later I sent a reminder email to him and giving a reply by date to send this new estimate. It has now been another 4 days with no reply. Finally, today, I sent one last email to him and asked for a next day reply. In addition I sent a copy of all previous correspondence to Scott Truett, the owner. At this time I have not decided if I'll allow Truett Roofing to repair my roof. This will depend on the response I receive. I cannot recommend Truett Roofing to anyone at the present time. Update 7/27/12: This is an update to a previous review in which I gave Truett Roofing a very negative rating. Since that review we were able to meet and clear up the problems that I mentioned in my previous review. I now understand the pricing structure and am satisfied with the estimate. Furthermore the lack of followup from Truett Roofing has been explained to my satisfaction and they have apologized for this. A date has been set for the work to be done and I am happy with the overall experience so far and I have revised my ratings to reflect this. Update 9/2/12 This is a necessary update to the previous review which I gave Truett Roofing an upgraded rating of "A". Since that update the work has been completed but I have had a very hard time getting a correct invoice. Also, I continue to find loose roofing nails, several of which have punctured my shoes but no injury has yet resulted from them. I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied with the lack of attention to detail by the work crew.. I mentioned finding loose nails but there were numerous empty water bottles left in the yard as well as pieces of roofing material and paper wrap from the bundles of shingles. This is unacceptable in every way and the nails are extremely dangerous. I brought this to the attention of Mr. Truett by email yet it was never acknowledged. The issue of a proper invoice is problematic; while I asked for and was given a military discount on the gutter guard installation, it wasn't reflected or credited on the first invoice that I received nor was the Angie's List coupon applied. After pointing this out I was sent a second or corrected invoice on which the military discount had been deducted yet the Angie's List coupon still wasn't applied. An email to Mr. Truett and to "Lou" my salesman were not answered and as of this writing have not been answered. Due to these issues I have revised my overall rating down to a "C".

Truett Construction and Roofing Inc gets an A across the board.

They promptly sent out an estimator for the job. But upon receiving the Structural Engineers Report and the need for a new stiffback and two verticals, I was told that the supervisor was not willing to do the roof repairs required as it would require skills not available from his work crew. Their estimator was willing "wink, wink" to do those repairs himself on the side 'wink, wink." He stated he was licensed and insured but provided no documented information as to licensing or bonding on the written estimate and only a verbal quote on the cost of such side repairs. I got the impression that this company is looking for quick and easy roofing money only and any variation from removing and replacing shingles will slow their trip to the bank. Others with conventional re-shingling might find it a better experience than I did. Call me ... whatever, but I get suspicious when someone approaches with 'side deals.' I found another company that was willing to do the complete job at a more reasonable price all around and a more professional approach. They did the repairs as part of the new roofing at about 2/3's the cost and the gutters at about 1/2 the cost.

We joined Angie's list when we were looking for a roofing and guttering contractor. We selected two contractors and asked for estimates, Truett roofing being one of them. The individual who took the call said she would have one of their estimators/salesman call and make arrangements that afternoon. Chris called within a couple of hours, taking my name and address, he indicated he would arrive around 2pm the next day. He arrived on time and asked a few questions and began his inspection. After about an hour he was done and provided us with an estimate. I was impressed that the estimate indicated not only what they would do, but how they would do it. It was a thorough estimate. I compared his estimate to the allowable cost and detailed work scope of the insurance claims adjuster. His estimate was under the insurance quote and included all the work to be done according to the claim. He provided a packet with the type of asphalt singles and guttering along with samples of colors available. I should mention that on Angie's List Truett offered discount coupons for the roofing and guttering. Chris was not aware of the coupons but indicated that they would be honored and to send a copy of the coupons along with the payment deducting the amount of the coupons from the billing statement. He gave us a start and completion date and said the roofing material would arrive a couple of days prior to starting the job, which it did. The roofing crew arrived about 9am and worked until 8pm that evening. They arrived about the same time the next morning and were finished with the roof by that afternoon including cleanup. The roofing crew was polite and very professional.The crew who were to install the guttering and downspouts arrived two days later and were finished the same day. They were polite and professional as well. We are very pleased with the work performed and the timely manner in which the work was completed. We would not hesitate to use them again and would recommend them to family and friends.
