I went great! They knew what they were doing and did it efficiently and well. They showed up when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves, and worked around a garage door repair/replacement issue that occured just after they arrived. The house looks great! I would highly recommend them!

It was a wonderful experience working with Tom Bennett. We sought a "professional" to paint the exterior of our home and we found the perfect "pro" when we found Tom. When he came to our home to give us a bid for the painting, he noticed that we had some damaged siding and that it would need to be replaced BEFORE he would be able to paint our home. We felt fortunate that he and his crew were able to replace the siding as well as the paint the house. Tom & his crew spent days hanging the new siding, scraping the old paint and caulking areas to prevent future moisture accumulation. We felt that his preparation of the home was exceptional. When they were finished, the "paint job" is exactly what we expected--perfection. There was only one drawback in using Tom Bennett---because he is so good, he is also so busy! He told us when he prepared the bid for us that he would have to put us on a waiting list. We had to wait 2 months. So if you are in a big hurry to get your house painted, you may want to find someone else less "in demand". However, if you want a REALLY good job and are willing to wait, he's your painter. We would not use anyone else.

These are your guys! A different outfit replaced my siding and left me with a lot of defects in workmanship and a big mess, and for months refused to address any of it, so finally I decided to look for a paint guy who could also correct/repair the siding work. That guy was Tom Bennett, who saw the problems I'd noticed, and then some! (Oh, yikes!) He gave me a very reasonable bid for repair and paint and explained very clearly what those defects were, as well as assure me some of the things I'd noticed weren't as bad as I thought and could be repaired (saving me money). Once he let me know they were going to start working, he and his outstanding crew showed up exactly when they said they would, and they stayed on this job for as long as possible each and every day, even tho it was May and we were having some pretty uncooperative weather. They focused their attention on my house (not 10 others at the same time), and got this all done in a very short amount of time, meaning they didn't just show up for a couple hours here and there -- they worked all day. They cleaned up after themselves after each day and respected my property -- and me. Tom even ran a magnet over my yard to pick up all the nails, screws and doodads the siding company had refused to deal with. Tom adjusted his original bill accordingly (in my favor) -- first time was when I added (after the fact) painting the front door in a contrasting color, which would be $90 extra, but he subtracted $100 because he found something else that could be repaired instead of replaced, so his final bill was actually $10 less than his bid. How often does THAT happen??! Tom says he treats his customers like he would want to be treated, and that's exactly what he and his crew do!

We are very pleased. Rough cedar trim was scraped of loose old paint and caulk, Brushed down, new caulk was applied, then painted with our choice of paint. Had one area of siding that needed to be repaired. They consulted me and made recommendations and then made the repair. They did a great job. Will recommend to friends.

Tom shows up when he says he will, returns phone calls and lets you know when he will be arriving. He paints along with his team and he assures the job is done well. We gave him 4 different colors to paint in a large living area, a couple of halls and a stairwell. Everything got two coats and was nicely done--even the accent colors in high places. When the job was completed, they cleaned up after themselves and left my brand new hardwood floors without paint splatters. High marks for professionalism that is hard to find today.

What a great experience. I had a very good feeling starting with the quote. Tom said all the right things and answered most of my questions without me having to ask them. I had a good idea of the cost before he left and got an official quote in the mail a couple of days later. When I accepted the quote, we were about a month out. At about 2 weeks, I called just to check in and we were on schedule. By the time he called and said we were next, it was a bit more than a month, but reasonably within his calendar. It was a 3.5 day job. They were prompt and worked full days. When the day was over, things were cleaned up and the yard was presentable. At the end of the first day, they wanted to leave a couple of things up to finish the siding the next day, but asked and didn't assume which is refreshing. Over the next couple of days they got the house prepped and painted. When they were done, there wasn't any paint where there shouldn't be. It was an excellent job! The morning of the last half day we found a bulge and crack in the wall in our bathroom, which happens to be just opposite of the electric meter. Something was wrong. I called Tom that morning and explained the issue. I thought he'd like to address it before he left our job so he wouldn't have to come back. I was able to get away from work for an hour and a half. I was home 20 minutes after I called and Tom had already contacted the electrician and he was on his way. He was also able to tell me what caused the crack. The electrician had to lower our meter and had 'stuffed' the extra cable into the wall. By the time I was on my way back to work the problem was fixed and Tom had patched the wall. That afternoon Tom brought by a gallon of paint with a promise to come back and fix it the following week. He offered to let me pay $500 less than the total bill until the wall got painted. I paid in full because the experience had allowed me to trust him. I called him Monday and thanked him again and told him I'd paint the wall and he didn't need to come back. By the way, did you catch that? Tom's customers don't pay a thing until the job is complete! I'm going to say this, but I probably don't need to...I wouldn't hesitate to use Tom again or refer him to anyone who needs similar work. So stop reading reviews and call Tom!!

Fantastic and was done within a few days!

I was very happy with the job Tom and his crew did. They arrived and got right to work. I feel like they did a great job prepping for paint and with the actual paint job. My house looks like a new house now. Tom was always very easy to work with. I would highly recommend Tom and his crew.

Soon after I called Tom arrived and gave me a very reasonable estimate. When they came to do the work I was pleased to see that Tom was part of the crew. The work was of top quality and everyone was very courteous. I am very pleased with my new paint.

Despite having been interrupted by rain everything went well. We are very pleased with the results and the house looks great again!

I really enjoyed working with Tom and his crew. Tom specifically was personable, upfront, and honest. In my assessment of painters, I got quotes from at least 7 different contractors. I evaluated previous jobs of my top three contractors and I felt Tom had the best quality of work. With Tom?s competitive bid (even without Angie?s List coupon) and his high quality, it was a no brainer to hire him. My house probably hadn?t been painted for over 20 years so it needed a lot of prep work. Some of the prep work posed technical difficulties which Tom provided quality and affordable solutions. I was also having my gutters replaced and Tom was efficient in working with the other contractor to ensure tasks were done in appropriate order and timely. I consider myself to be a bit of a difficult customer but Tom did great at managing my expectations. Overall, the job was done timely and he delivered on the quality I expected. The house looks GREAT! I?d hire him again and recommend him to anyone.

They were great. Punctual. Professional. Finished the entire house in two days. Cleaned up after themselves. Went above and beyond in helping us remove some tv satellite dishes. Tom was pleasant to work with, his team did a quality job, and our house looks beautiful!

Tom came out the next day for an entimate and was able to fit me into the schedule right away. The did the work in an afternoon. They were very courteous, respectful of the new carpet I just had put in, and thorough. I enjoyed talking to Tom and I would absolutely hire him again for future painting needs.

Tom was just wonderful to work with! He and his team did an outstanding job. Tom always kept in touch to let us know when he would be able to come out (as we were at the mercy of Kansas weather). We had some unfortunate damage due to hail after they started painting and they were so kind to fix all the damage done to the paint. He was so patient as I asked questions and always very pleasant. He was very sincere in wanting to make sure we were completely satisfied....which we were....above and beyond expectation. This was such a great experience for us...thanks Tom!

I decided to hire someone to paint the cabinets and walls because it involved a lot of detail work. Painting cabinets is not an easy chore. Tom came by within a couple days of me calling him to give an estimate of $1,400. This may seem like a lot for one room, but even though the kitchen is not large, it involved a lot of detail work. I accepted the offer and he said his crew could get to the job in the coming week. They started on a Monday and finished Wednesday afternoon, with two painters working most of that time and Tom joining them on Wednesday to complete the job. They had to use some elbow grease to clean the cabinets -- we had not painted the kitchen since we moved in 13 years ago, so you can imagine the cooking grime that would build up in that time. (I keep a clean house, but who cleans the top ledges of kitchen cabinets and doors, right?) Tom and his crew were thorough, professional, courteous and punctual. I left the workers alone in the house while I went to work (hubby was out of town.) The paint job was pristine. No complaints. Tom showed me the paint they used on the cabinets -- a new product called Breakthrough that dries super hard and is good for kitchen cabinets. I'm hoping it will live up to its billing for being long-lasting and easy to clean. When the job was complete, Tom came by to inspect it with me and get my reaction, which was entirely positive. He actually gave me a slight discount for being an Angieslist member. The final price came in slightly below the estimate of $1,400. Tom was pleasant to work with and seems very knowledgeable, reliable and professional. I would definitely hire him again and am hoping to do so for our house exterior later this year.

I am pleased with the services provided by Tom & Earnest Painting. They finished replacing all the deteriorating siding on my house this month and will paint it in the spring when the weather permits. In the meantime it looks great. The siding job was compleated in a timely manner using quality products and I appreciate their attention to detail. They were great at keeping me informed during the entire process as to what they were doing and when they would do it. I also appreciate that they kept their work area picked up...always leaving their work site looking nice. Thank You !!!

Called for a painting bid. A representative returned my call with a list of derogatory comments about the property...very rude to me and I'm sorry that I requested a bid from this company.

Provided timely estimate and friendly follow up. Was patient with me as I requested several samples tried on the house for review prior to final selection. Reminded me that I would likely need HOA approval. Called back to check progress with me. Once selection was made, Tom and his crew were prompt and prepared the house well prior to painting. I could not be more pleased and house looks great!

Only an estimate was provided. It did not include painting the deck. We examined three of the references Tom Bennett provided and evaluated the work as B to B+ in quality. We chose not to go with this company because we wanted a single contractor for both the house and the deck. Tom's estimate was in the ballpark of what we anticipated but once the bids for the deck came in from a separate contractor, the costs were higher than the two other contractors we asked for bids. We would consider Tom & Ernest to provide an estimate for future interior painting work based on the work we saw at his references.

Very well. This company came out on a Sunday, secured the door, and then replaced it the following day. I have used this company several times in the past and have been very pleased. I highly recommend them to others.
