Description of Work: The basement in my 1927 home leaked whenever there was heavy rain. KBF installed an indoor trenching/sump pump system which has been a godsend - especially considering we have had 10 inches of rain this month alone. I can now sit comfortably in my home and enjoy the relaxing sound of the rain drops instead using my artillary of wet/dry vacs, buckets, mops, fans, towels and dehumidifiers to fight off any water in the basement.

Description of Work: Their specialist Dave Tinsman came to my home on schedule and inspected the problem. He told me what he thought the cause was and advised what I needed to try first before before getting into a bigger job. He thought his recommendation would fix the problem and said his company did not do that particular work but he recommended someone who did and said he would have him call me. I got the call the next day. I was very impressed with this company's professionalism, integrity and ethics.

Description of Work: Bill came and met with me and my wife. We had concerns that we were going to spend a LOT of money. But he showed us some very simple fixes that we could do on our own. He could have made up a lot of stuff and charged us for some things we didn't need. Instead, he showed us some do it yourself remedies and a few things about our guttering that would keep water away from the house. He explained all sorts of things about our foundation and we learned about what to look for in the future. We are very happy with their service.

Description of Work: Retaining wall on lake was failing. Kansas Basement & Foundation Repair came out immediately to review situation and provide quote. Repair performed promptly and as per quote.

Description of Work: We had previously had another company quote close to ten thousand dollars, require two weeks to complete the job with extensive demolition to part of our home (which was not included in the the quote). |We had a structural engineer come out and do an assessment and found that what we had been told was quote a bit off. So we called Kansas Basement for a quote and they were right in line with what the structural engineer had said. They can be trusted and rates are affordable. We will be using them when we are ready to make our repairs

Description of Work: We have a screened in porch with a roof attached to our house. The concrete floor of this porch had sunk about 4 inches below level, causing water to run toward the house. |Kansas Basement and Foundation Repair first inspected the foundation and assured me that the foundation itself was very sound. The concrete was just sinking inside of it. |They used a foam injection process to raise the the floor up to perfectly level. |They did a good job, it was very fast and very professional |however, I had two concerns: |1. It was very expensive. Of course I agreed to the price up front, so this was no surprise. Still I would hesitate to recommend others spend so much money on this, especially considering point two: |2. The concrete cracked a lot in the process. They DID warn me that this would happen. I was just surprised at how much it cracked. Now I am left with a nice level floor that is full of cracks. I will have to patch it myself and try to paint it to cover the patches. | |If I had it to do again I would have had another company cut out the affected area and pour a new slab instead. |As for quality, I am sure that the slab is now very sold, very level and that no water will run past it, or under it again. So the quality is good, but the look is not. |I would use this company again for some jobs, but in this instance I have to say they were probably not the best choice.

Description of Work: I ALWAYS HAD PUDDLES ALL OVER MY BASEMENT FLOOR WHEN IT RAINED A LOT. THEN I GOT ESTIMATES ONE YEAR ANYWHERE FROM $4000 TO $15000 & ONE COMPANY THAT WAS BIG IN BASEMENT REPAIR SAID THEY WOULD CHARGE $15000 BUT WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GUARANTEE THE BASEMENT WOULD BE TOTALLY DRY!! THEN I CALLED KANSAS BSMT. & FOUNDATION. THAT WAS ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO AND THE BASEMENT IS TOTALLY DRY. OH AND DID I MENTION THEY GUARANTEED IT FOR 20 YEARS OR TO WHOMEVER I SHOULD SELL THE HOUSE TO! NOW THAT'S A GUARANTEE! FROM THE ESTIMATE TO THEIR LAST DAY ON THE JOB EVERY SINGLE PERSON AFFILIATED WITH THAT COMPANY, FROM THE OWNER TO THE WORKERS WERE SOME OF THE POLITEST, HARD WORKING PEOPLE I EVER MET! IF THEY SAY THEY CAN FIX IT. THEY WILL! I HAD A DRAIN TILE, SUPER SUMP AND BATTERY BACK UP INSTALLED. IT TOOK A CREW OF 4-5 (INCLUDING THEIR CREW CHIEF) 2-3 DAYS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT AND THEN THEY POWER CLEANED MY BASEMENT. TALK ABOUT GOOD CLEANUP. MY CONCRETE FLOOR HAD NEVER BEEN THAT CLEAN. OH THEY FOUND SOME MILDEW ON MY SHEETROCK AND REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF IT FOR ME AT NO CHARGE. GREAT WORKERS, GREAT COMPANY!
