I called a couple of other companies asking if they could give me a ballpark figure as to what I could expect to pay for this job. From the responses and reaction I got, you would've thought I was asking them to install Bellagio-like fountains in my backyard! They told me they couldn’t quote a price over the phone?? When I told the Superior Plumbing guy I spoke to on the phone, that I had a 40 gal. tank in the basement, with easy access, that probably needed replacing, he promptly told me that it was a flat rate of $775... no big deal. He then asked me if I wanted to schedule an appointment he would put me through to dispatch. Which he did, and they told me on a Wednesday they could come out Friday afternoon. I told them to go ahead and schedule it and if I found a better deal I would call them back to cancel. I didn’t even bother calling anyone else, but I did call Superior around noon on Friday and asked if I was still on the schedule and they told me they could be out around 1pm. I said OK and sure ‘nuf Christian (the plumber) shows up, removes the old tank, installs a new Rheem (he even put in a pressure release pipe that he said was now required by code… at no extra charge). Christian was very pleasant and professional and explained and answered all of my questions. The job took about 2 hours and I am quite pleased.

Greg came out to the house to provide a quote to install a gas line for our dryer. We also had noticed previously that there were some water pressure issues in the master bath. Of course when he was there the pressure was good. He suggested replacing one faucet, and gave suggestions to help with the water pressure if we saw any other issue. Even though there was no work done, he was very professional, patient, and listened. I will definately use Superior for any work in the future.

The experience with them went very well. I bought and delivered the commode myself and then the plumber came to in install it. He was excellent. It was a difficult placement and he did the job extremely well. I would adopt him if I could!

The plumber from Superior seemed to know his stuff. He arrived promptly, let us know what his approach was going to be, performed the work quickly, and cleaned up afterwards. He was very businesslike and not overly chatty.

Excellent service from beginning to end while providing a good value! I am a pro-active homeowner, in 2000, I purchase a new hot water heater from this same company. In November 2011, I called them to inquire about the need to possibly replace it due to its age and high service use. After several qualifing questions they recommended I keep an eye on it since it was still visually and operationally sound. It lasted another 14 months but now I have decided to replace it rather than suffer the possibility of a cold shower and and scheduling an emergency installation. The tech arrived on time and proceeded diligently to remove the old water heater and sump pump and install the new equipment. This service tech was knowledgeable, professional and did not leave any mess. I have used this compamy on 4 occasions over 25 years and have always had excellent service. I have consistantly found them to be competitively priced and they have always solved my problems while exceeding my expectations. To the best of my knowledge,this is a family owned business with roots in Wichita. I believe they have been in business 45-50 years! This is a compamy that I would strongly recommend to family, friends or anyone. You may find a cheaper contractor, but I am confident you will not find a more reliable or professional plumbing service provider! Hope you find this helpful.

Work was done quickly and I have not had any problems with the repairs.

I called them because my kitchen sink was leaking. They came out, replaced the pipes that were bad and installed the new faucet I had purchased.

We called, made the appointment, and the repairman showed up punctually. He had no problem getting into the crawl space under our house and making the repair to the leaking pipes. He explained what had to be done and took the appropriate steps to fix the problem. We definitely will call them again should we have another problem.

They are very thorough. They ensure that they did right. They seem like they are in a huge hurry which is something I value when having my plumbing works.

We're very pleased at how quickly our central A/C was repaired. Mike has actually been servicing the central A/C on this house for at least 15 years. That's why we initially called Superior Plumbing for our A/C service - because their service record stickers were all over the unit when we bought the home. Our central A/C started blowing warm air and making funny noises at midnight on July 4th. We turned off the unit and spent over 24 hours in an 85+ degree home to prevent additional damage from occurring. I left a message w/Superior on July 4th and said it wasn't necessary to come out on the holiday. But, would appreciate a visit the next business day. They called me back at 8am on July 5th and told me someone would be out to check our unit that day. GREAT SERVICE! I also called a different HVAC company on 7/5 thinking if we needed a replacement unit, they would be better to work with. But, their turnaround time was 3 business days! I'd have to wait until Monday to have a repair person out. Understandable this time of the year. But, I'm glad we went w/Superior. Mike, the technician, has always been professional, quick, clean and very informative about the work he does. The part he replaced was cheap, and our A/C was functioning correctly within a couple of hours. Although he said we wouldn't feel a great temperature change until the evening, we felt it almost immediately on the second floor. Thanks, Mike!

We had a leak from an upstairs bathroom that had soaked through the subfloor and into the ceiling above our kitchen. We contacted our home warranty company who sent a plumber out and they determined that it was the pan and/or drain of the shower, where were not covered by the warranty. We next contacted Superior based on their high rating on Angie's List. We thought we were clear in letting them know that we wanted to get an estimate for these repairs and they sent out someone in a timely manner. We were impressed with how well they explained the work that needed to be done and recommended another company who they work closely with for the tile work that would also need to come out. However we spent weeks trying to track someone down at Superior after this initial visit to receive an official quote or estimate for the plumbing work. It was quite frustrating, especially when we received a bill for over $100 just for the visit to give us an estimate (no work was done). Eventually we negotiating with them and received a quote for the work which was very reasonable. The work was well coordinated with Klein construction who removed the tile, old pan, and subfloor before Superior replace the drain and pan.

Plumber brazed in fitting I couldn't. Replaced inlet fittings on heater with and quot;blow-offand quot; fittings per building code. Replaced main water shut-off valve since it did NOT shut water all the way off! This made wife happy to be able to shut water off again in case of leak!

I've been very satisfied w/their work. I've been privileged to have the same plumber each time, and I could tell he was a master plumber, except the last time was someone different. Quality and durability were first-class. I feel they are very conscientious and transparent in their work.

The job was first class. I have had dealings with them in the past. The scheduling was right. As requested, the plumber came out at the time basically promised. The job was done within the time frame of about 3 hours. The price was very competitive. I have had 4 months to experience both the efficacy of the plumbing as well as reduction in my water bill. There was a leak both at the site of the kitchen faucet as well as the toilet and clearly that was stopped and reflected in my monthly water bill. That was a residual benefit including the added convenience of the new faucet and the new toilet. The price was competitive. It's somewhat dicey to compare appliances in terms of how it is equivalent to others. I thought for the quality and the service, the price was competitive. I was satisfied with that. The quality has to stand the test of time and since it's been less than 6 months, I would be really stretching out to say it is high quality. You have to really see it for 2 or 3 years in operation. It has been good so far and I am satisfied at this point and time. I hope 5 years from now I will still be satisfied. I have had no problems until now. I called them and the turnaround time in terms of setting up the appointment was immediate. As we had agreed and as they basically had stated they were there and the job was done within the time frame that they had stated. They were very professional. I was very impressed with the plumber that came out. He was seasoned. He clearly knew his business. He had an issue with the toilet seat after he had installed it because he had found a defect or blemish. He took the initiative to go back to the shop and got another cover which was not damaged to make sure that everything was okay. I was impressed by that. It was not a major blemish. It was something that I probably would not have picked up unless I really got down eyeballing it rim to rim. He noticed it and he immediately got back and got a perfect seat. It is something that he could have overlooked or ignored. He caught it and he made it his business. They definitely were accurate. They gave me a ballpark figure in terms of price and they were price competitive. The work was done very professionally. Not only the work but also the clean-up is often an indication of professionalism. When the work was done, there was no debris or crud left over. He cleaned up the whole work area. He dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's. I would definitely recommend them.

They arrived right on time, the person was very professional and he did an excellent job installing the new tank and removing the old.

Very well, they showed on time, did the work quickly and it appears that it was done very well.

Upon removal of old water heater, 2 Superior servicemen failed to cap the water pipe off while awaiting replacement water heater coming from Kansas City (overnight). Water left in our system (pipes) gushed onto floor of utility closet and into carpeted bedroom. We had to have a professional water restoration company out to remove the carpet and pad to dry out carpet and later stretch and relay carpet with new pad. Cost for the restoration company was close to $1,000 and Superior claimed no responsibility for it whatsoever. Their comment when the water problem was reported to their office was "I can see how this might happen." Superior only in passing the buck (literally) back to the customer!
