Spangenberg Phillips Tice Architecture

Randy Phillips is the person we dealt with. We fired them. We started with them three years ago and we were with them for about 18 months. We spent $13000 for their services. They were supposed to design a house that was warm and friendly which looked like an old original farm house in the area. It had been added on a couple of times. I would definitely warn others about them. I wouldn’t recommend them. The price would have been reasonable if they had performed. They didn’t design a house that looked warm and friendly. The houses that they kept designing looked institutional and like cookie cutter designs of modern houses and office buildings. The people who looked at their designs with us made comments that it looked like the new state mental hospital. The architect didn’t listen to us and didn’t produce the type of designs that we were looking for. I think he was incapable of it. Overall, it was a very discouraging and bad experience for which we paid a lot of money. The people need to know that they just can’t do it. The type of house that we wanted was switched to another architect and we pretty well got there.
