+ -1 moreGene Schuette is the structural engineer of RSI - he returned my call promptly (even on the week-end no less!) and was available the following Monday AM for the inspection. It was important to us to get an unbiased assessment - our house was being marketed and the cracks in the sheet rock were found during a showing of the home to a potential customer. Mr. Schuette was able to assess the issue as a slight movement of the basement wall. He outlined clearly outlined changes to drainage that should be made to prevent further issues and clearly stated that required no additional structural repairs were necessary. We had his professional report in our email by the end of the day and were able to satisfactorily amend our property disclosure by attaching his report. His timeliness, professionalism and clear, concise assessment were assets in the sale of our home. I would definitely hire him again if I had any structural questions or concerns.
Description of Work: performed structural inspection of basement area where cracks had appeared in the drywall. Our house was being marketed for sale at the time the cracks appeared, so it was very important to understand (a) if issue was cosmetic or structural (b) what, if any repairs should be made.
