**CAUTION** Be careful when the operators of their big trucks are anywhere near your vehicles. One of their operators drives his truck home in the evenings. Last month he backed into the drivers side of my son's car - hitting it hard enough into the curb to bend the rear sway bar of the opposite side - but he insists he didn't feel anything. I have given this person the benefit of trying to fix it (keeping it away from his employer/insurance and driving record) but he continues to flake out. I have now contacted Power Lifts home base in Texas and they are wanting me to deal directly with the kid who hit my son's car to begin with --- how does any of that make sense? No - that time has expired as I've been too nice and beyond patient up to this point as the car is non-driveable. When you employ someone and they drive your company's vehicles you now become reliable for their actions and damages. It definitely would make me hesitant to ever use a company like this who passes the buck to their employees.

Description of Work: They came and looked but never sent me a quote. They see an old house that needs painting and didn't want to bother. so they are only concerned with newer homes that need repair. I am very disgusted.

The company gave us a review and estimate free of charge. They gave us a date for service. They arrived on time and performed the service in the time estimated and at the cost estimated. they were professional. The guarantee was for 20 years. I was well pleased with the service.
Description of Work: The company came to give us an estimate of the work that was needed. They checked the foundation and determined that it was in need of stabilization. They explained exactly what they would be doing to stabilize the foundation. They gave us a start time and a completion time, as well as an estimate of cost. They explained that the guarantee would be for 20 years and that they would return to inspect the foundation if any added problems were to occur.

Description of Work: It took at least one month for an appt from the date i called. On the date of the appt and 30 min prior to the one hour range time of the appt a call was received to confirm that I was home and would be present. When I asked if it was at the earliest part of the estimated time, I was asked if I wanted to reschedule. I responded that I was told a slightly earlier time but that I was at home and would wait for the company rep. At the mid point of the hour interval appt time given the doror bell rang and upon opening the door the representtive was almost down the driveway to his car. I called after him asking if he was here for an appt and he said he was leaving since he didn't think anyone was home. That should have alerted me to the charatcer of this individual. My advice to others; let him leave. I should have. But after waiting one month I figure I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and that he was busy or in a hurry for other appts. So I began to tell him about the screen porch problem, sinking of the outer column ground supports. He ignored the comments and proceeeded to take stock of the condition of the brink exterior and any exposed foundation. He asked if I was aware of all the cracks in the brick. He stated that a look at the foundation through the crawl space was needed. This he accessed and reported major and minor cracks in numerous locations. Stating that the walls fo the houe must have lots of cracks as a result of the foundation cracking, A family member was sleeping in a bedroom , behind a closed door down the hall so I explained how he could not inspect the walls in that room since my son was asleep inside. He proceeded ahead of me to open the door and turn on the light awakening my son before I could stop him. Then he said "oh, there's someone sleeping in this room". The comments continued about the degree of damag and how serious it all was; the value of the repair would "Break 30 maybe not 40". This jargon was understood to mean > $30,000 < $40,000 but I was not expert in the terms he used for foundation evaluation and or repair equipment etc terms he threw around to demonstrate how familar the term were to him and not me; ; unprofesssional and arrogant. He left me an appt date for followup unless I called and cancelled.

I purchased my home in 2007, and at the time of purchase my husband and I were informed that some significant foundation repair had been performed by this company and that there was a transferrable warranty for the work. In May of this year, a part of our finished basement flooded and we contacted this company to examine the cause and evaluate the problem (and fix it of course). It took weeks upon weeks for anyone to even COME to our property to take pictures, and then we heard nothing until September. After I called again, the same representative had to come to the home AGAIN to take more pictures. Not one person ever contacted us without me calling first, and it was only after leaving a very testy message during the first week of NOVEMBER that the owner bothered calling me back. Well, he didn't call me back actually, his assistant did, and only to get my email address to send me a letter that the warranty did not cover the problem and that we were essentially sunk. Whether or not the warranty DID in fact cover the specific problems we are having is not at issue for me. I am perfectly capable of understanding the limits of a warranty, but what I take umbrage with is the complete lack of professionalism and timely response. It took FIVE MONTHS for these people to tell me it wasn't their problem and they weren't going to do anything to solve it. Sure, they offered other solutions (for an additional cost as yet to be identified), but at this point I cannot believe ANYTHING they write and or say because of the way in which this was handled. The only thing I can think to do is get another company to evaluate their claims. I would NEVER HIRE these people based upon this horrific experience.
Description of Work: No service was performed at this time. Only an evaluation of previous work and the warranty for that work.

Well, the service guy acted like he was in a hurry. He did not take the time to listen to everything. He took about 10 minutes under the house, came out, wrote a proposal up (Bad handwritting) and then hurried on his way. Price was okay, but service was not that good.
Description of Work: They did come give me a free estimate for foundation priers, french drain and floor leveling.

We originally discovered Power Lift of Kansas in the phone book. We had them out for an estimate of the job. The bid for the job was $13,500 although they kept adding on costs. They left everything in a mess mid job. Right now the ground is un-level, the drainpipes are not connected, the ground sunk and cracked as a result of the work. There are two huge boulders that were left. We are holding part of the money on the job back in the hope that they will correct the situation. We have contacted them as recently this week to try to get them back out. They have loosely said they would look at it in a couple of weeks. We understood that they would leave the grounds in good order. The foreman even said that we could higher a landscaper to correct the situation at our expense.
Description of Work: Foundation Repair!!! They were contracted for foundation repair and piering for our home.
