Description of Work: The people who actually worked on the home were super efficient and did a great job. However, it took months for NCRI to coordinate and follow through with jobs needed.

This restoration/reconstruction should have taken 4 or 5 weeks at best. This part of the work began the first week of November 2014. The project is still not complete as of today's date February 17, 2015. The man who managed the water extraction, was assigned to manage the repair work when the second phase began. It became obvious quite quickly, that this man was not as good at this type of project. He lacked the ability to manage time and labor effectively. Often times 3 or more days would pass without any workers on site working. Then he would schedule electricians, sheet rockers, carpenters and plumbers all at the same time. This was ridiculous. These guys were on top of each other. He also failed to see flaws in the craftsmanship of the sub-contractors and vendors his company used. I started pointing out these issues and had to continuously supervise the "re-works". Before any work had begun I told this project manager I would pay out of pocket to have whole sheets of sheetrock installed. He did not listen to me. He had the sub-contracted sheet rocker patch it in. The work was horrible. I had them re-work it 3 times. The ceilings were just as bad. Along the base boards, it was blazingly obvious that the mud had not been sanded at all before the paint was applied. The paint through out the house was applied before all sanding and mudding was completed. The base board through out the upstairs was to be a golden finish to match all of the existing wood work that was unharmed, like the ceiling beams, flooring, ledges, staircases, etc.. On one side of the master bedroom, the base board was golden, on the other side of the room, it was red! The base board in the hall way as also red on one side and golden on the other. You would have to be BLIND not to notice this huge difference in tone. When I pointed this out to the manager, he told me that that much of a difference was acceptable by industry standards. I told him it wasn't acceptable to me. He would not budge. Finally I said, "Fine, I'll just hire someone else to come in here and rip this out, and replace it with the right base board." The project manager made a real push to have his friend who manages a flooring store, supply the replacement flooring. He said his friend would give me a good price for the exact same product I currently had. This was a nightmare in itself. The carpeting in one room was 3 shades darker than I ordered. The wood flooring was finished with some milky white top coat to make the grain pop. It had the effect that the floor was dirty with construction dirt. Since the floor was not covered for protection once it was installed, this was an easy assumption to make. At the very beginning of the project, I informed this project manager that the original wood floor had been installed using a commercial adhesive so it would stay in place on the cement slap base floor. I suggested he begin removing the damaged floor right away because it wasn't going to be easy or quick to get up. He lifted 3 lengths of wood and then never touched it again. He waited till the flooring installers arrived and had them try to lift it. I just happened to stop by the house while the floor installation was in progress. I walked in to see that the installers where laying the new wood a top the old damaged floor. There was also wet cement where the 3 lengths of floor had been removed earlier to raise the surface. The manager was standing there with a look of shock horror on his face like a kid getting caught doing something naughty. He quickly said he had just walked in and was about to call me to tell me of this adjustment that the installer choose to make with out checking with anyone first. The installer said he maybe should have called and checked with someone first, but this was the only thing he could think to do since time was being wasted. I looked at the situation and saw that it was the best solution and said it was fine with me. I then turned to the manager and told him, "I told you it was going to be hard to lift, that Bostics Best adhesive we used was commercial strength and you should have done this weeks ago." In front of these installers and other workers that were there that day he said he didn't know anything about this. He acted like this was the first time I had mentioned this adhesive. Out of respect, I didn't call him on this in front of his men, I waited till later when we were alone. He lied right to my face and said he thought I said, "It's the best adhesive". I told him we both knew that wasn't true, then I let it go. Shortly after this, the manager either got sick or went on vacation. Any way, the company sent this other fellow in to manage the project in his absence. This "stand-in" proved to be an excellent project manager. I quickly contacted the company and strongly requested to have this man finish the job. I expressed my disappointment in the original manager's performance to date. Luckily they agreed. Since we changed managers, the project has been moving along quite well. I'm happy to say, that once the wood flooring is found to replace the milky looking flooring, this job will be completed to my satisfaction. If anyone were to ask me who to call for water extraction/dry out work, I'd say NCRI. I would then advise them to request the second manager if they plan to use this company for the restoration/reconstruction. I think NCRI is good at construction with the exception of that one guy. They really should consider letting him go. He is bad for business. He made an awful life event even more awful. The office staff, and company admin. were very polite and helpful. Any time I had questions or needed documentation for the insurance company, etc. the folks at NCRI were prompt and efficient. I'd do business with this company again.
Description of Work: Initially I hired this company to extract the water from my home and dry it out, after a sink faucet line blew out and did extensive flooding. I submitted a review of this work several months ago. NCRI is excellent at water damage mediation. The problem came when I continued using this company for the restoration/reconstruction of my home post water damage. This company boosts a full service construction division, but they use a lot of sub contractors as well.

After my house flooded from a broken interior water line, we called NCRI. They got there immediately and brought their equipment with them. They got right to work draining the water from the ceiling. They explained what they were doing and why they had to do it. I was out of town when the flood happened, and my cousin was the one who was there dealing with them, and they actually took pictures step by step of what they were doing and sent them to me as they were doing it, so that I could be in the know of everything that was going on. They worked quickly and very neatly. They have been very careful with all of my things as well. They were prompt, professional, and very attentive and understanding.
