My family has used this company for over 20 years. To be precise, my Mom had an estate sale business and used MICHAEL J'S DELIVERY & MOVING on most of her moves between sales. My wife and I have personally, (on Mom?s recommendation), used the company 4 or 5 times. This time the move went well and Michael J was his usual good natured efficient self. I wrote him a check for his services and he left. A few minutes after he left I remembered that I needed to transfer money from my savings to checking. I called Michael?s wife Pam, and asked her to please deposit the check ?normally?? to not take it to the bank, because I needed to transfer money between accounts. Mind you, I did NOT ask her to hold the check?I merely asked her to run it through as a normal deposit. She said nothing after I asked her this and there was quite a silence as she did not respond. I asked her if there was a problem, and she said that ?they? assume that when people write a check?that it is good! She said this in a really annoying and irritating way, and it made me mad. I abruptly said never mind, and I hung up. I did not say goodbye?because I was extremely angry that she had spoken to me this way. I am not a new customer. As I said, my family had been doing business with this company for years. I simply felt that Pam was rude to me and that her ?customer service? was horrendous. Again, all I was asking for her to do was to deposit the check in her bank and to not ?present? it for payment at my bank. Anyway 3 or so weeks went by and my wife called Pam again to schedule another move. Pam told my wife that ?they? had decided that we should take our business elsewhere. My wife told me what Pam had said about taking our business elsewhere and I immediately called Pam and went ?nuts? on her. Hung up on her again. My blood pressure was off the charts. No need to get into the details of our final ?conversation? other to say that I then decided to join Angie?s list to let as many people as possible know that they should think twice about EVER using this company. They are mean nasty people, who obviously do not have a clue about servicing customers?especially long time REPEAT customers.
