I moved to Wichita in November, 2011 and purchased a fairly new home in Auburn Hills. I have several relatives in Wichita. So, I phoned my aunt and uncle (who have lived in Wichita for about 50 years) and asked them to recommend an electrician. My aunt and uncle also own several rental propertied in the Wichita area. Without hesitation (and, with actual zeal) they recommended Lowery's/Ray's Electrical. They had done business with Lowery's for at least 30 years and knew the entire family history. So, I phoned Lowery's. Either that same day or the next morning, a representative from Lowery's met me at my house and determined my needs. Then, the following day, two electricians showed up and began work. They worked efficiently and completed the many items the same day. They performed the kind of work that I expect - perfect! I expect the electrical work to look as though it was built into the house originally. I do not care to take shortcuts and to then see exposed TV cables or small gaps around electrical receptacles. The electricians were courteous to me and my family. After living in the house for a few more weeks, I discovered additional electrical work that I wanted done. So, I phoned Lowrey's again. I have a small pantry area behind a door. And, the shelving came up very close to the door. There was no lighting inside the pantry. And, since there were several deep shelves, lighting at the ceiling would not help. I thought of placing a spot light on the wall across from the pantry. The electrician (John) came up with the idea of surrounding the interior of the pantry door frame with rope lighting and placing the rope lighting on a motion detector. WOW! Now, every time I open the pantry door, the rope lighting illuminates all the way to the back of every shelf. This firm will have my electrical business as long as I remain in Wichita.
Description of Work: Added down lighting to the front of the house; added a motion detector light to the dog pen area; added dawn to dusk lighting to the back yard, added several electrical outlets; added two cable outlets; added outdoor outlets; added interior lighting (hall light, pendent lighting over bar, etc.); added indirect rope lighting overhead; added interior rope lighting surrounding pantry door and placed on a motion detector; changed the wiring in the laundry (including the 220v dryer circuit) to another wall to permit me to move the washer an dryer; etc.
