Description of Work: Did you know if you are unhappy with your appliance purchase Lowe's will replace it within 30 days of your original purchase date? My first washing machine was too deep for me to reach down to the bottom of the tub to remove clothing items. Oh my! I was scared to pieces worrying about the money wasted on my purchase so you can imagine my relief when Lowe's told me about their return policy! I highly recommend Lowe's where our satisfaction really does matter!

My experience was good. The sales clerk, Robert Hawkins, in the flooring section of Lowe's was excellent and very knowledgable in carpet. I was very impressed with his knowledgable and expertise and the highlight of my experience. They came to install the carpet about 3 weeks after purchasing.
Description of Work: Replaced the carpet in the basement.

The purchase and installation went well, but that was all. After the purchase Lowes was not interested in customer satisfaction. Lowe's has finally worked with me after over a year and we came up with a satisfactory resolution. They are giving me the opportunity to repurchase my original countertop at cost with no installation fee. I have agreed to this and am satisfied. It took a long time and alot of phone calls, but we did get it resolved. Now I am just waiting on Top Master to call and set up a time they can come out and install the new countertop.
Description of Work: This was purchased at the Lowes store in Wichita.Ks on W Maize. This address was not listed in the drop down. We purchased a granite countertop and had it installed by Top Masters, the company Lowes contracts with. We sealed it according to directions with their recommended sealer. Within 2 months the countertop started discoloring. We called several times and was told to deal with the installers. Top Masters was very bad about returning calls and it took several calls to get a response from them. They finally came out and tried to strip the counter and had me purchase new sealer in case the first batch was bad. This did not work and the countertop continued to discolor. After several tries by Top Master they told me there was nothing they could do and to call Lowes. After speaking to several people at Lowes thet said they could not figure out why it was darkening and since nothing that was done was restoring it to the original color, and they could not lighten it, they said they would put something on it to make it all dark. The darker color is so different then what I purchased and I do not like it, I told them no. It would be like buying a grey car and having the color wear off right after purchase and being told the only thing that could be done was painting it black. If I wanted a dark counter top that is what I would of purchased. I filed with the BBB and Lowes did not even bother to respond. Now it appears I am stuck with a $3,500.00 mess that I can't afford to replace. The customer service from Lowes and Top Masters is terrible.

This has been a nightmare of an installation project. The estimator was confident that the job would be done in and quot;less than one dayand quot; spanned into 3 days and was finally finished 2 weeks later. I was forced to take time way more time off from work than planned. The estimator did not order enough transition molding, and no underlayment was initially provided at all. As described in the previous detail of service segment Lowe's has been less than responsive, scheduling seems to be over-booked and the estimator and quot;over sellsand quot; installation. Thru no-fault of the 3rd-person contractor (his name is Darrin and is a very friendly, professional gentleman. I wouldn't hesitate to contact him directly in the future. He worked his tail off for 2 straight days and did a great job) the actual service provider is Pruitt Flooring. If they are the best that Lowe's can provide, and if this is typical of all Lowe's installation, I will NOT return to Lowe's for future needs. I also will NOT recommend them to friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: We decided to have a couple rooms of vinyl and carpet removed and install laminate. We researched other products / resources and went with Lowe's. The product itself looks great but the estimate and installation has been a nightmare. Mistake number 1: The gentleman that estimated the job was very confident that it would NOT take a full day to accomplish. Mistake number 2: The product was delivered to the installers warehouse and not to the Lowe's store. The contractor said he would have to charge a $58 delivery fee so we went to their warehouse and pick it up. As it turns out, since it was their fault the product went to the wrong destination we should NOT have been charged a delivery fee. Mistake number 3: The installers were to arrive on Thursday, May 10. They called that morning saying they were stuck at another job out of town and will have to reschedule. I now have to work with my boss to take ANOTHER DAY OFF FROM WORK! Mistake number 4: Another installer (independent contractor) arrives early on Friday, May 11. He reviews the product and notices the warehouse did NOT provide the necessary underlayment, quarter round wood and enough transition molding. The installer makes a run to the local Lowe's to pick up the required material. Mistake number 5: The store has to order more transition molding that will not arrive for 2-3 business days. Mistake number 6: Store calls me to say the transition molding will not be in for at least 2 weeks. In the meantime I have to put up with a small mess in my home before the installer can finish the job. Mistake number 7: The installer works alone and now says he will not be able to finish the job in one day. He will have to return on Saturday morning. The job was scheduled to start and finish on May 10. It was finally finished on May 25. I should have been compensated for my additional time off work at Lowe's expense, the entire series of mistakes from Lowe's, and the estimator over promising and under delivering means we will NOT be going with Lowe's on any future installation projects.

Did a good job on the installation in the end...the first guy didn't do it right, so Lowe's sent over another guy to do it correctly. Their follow up was very good, which we appreciated. Called back to make sure we were taken care of.

It was a bad experience. We wanted to get the carpets installed with the existing pads that were down. I spoke to some people at Lowe's and got a number of stories on whether they would or would not do that. One gentleman told me that they would not do that and I asked him the reason and he told me that it would void their warranty. I told him that I did not care about that and he said that they could just get me to sign something to waive the warranty. I said that it was fine and we did that and got the work done. Somebody else called me later and said that they couldn't do that. I went in to talk to the store manager but he wasn't there and they brought out an assistant manager who did not know anything about flooring. It was just a confusing mess and I would never use them again.

They were excellent. They came and took the measurements and did the installation. Their finish work was great. They put crown molding around the tops of the counters and that looks excellent. All the cuts were nice. They cleaned up after themselves. They did a really good job.
