Complete shingle tear off and replacement was done,also adding new vents.Additional framing work was need above the front porch and although they couldn't perform that work,they had a very reputable remodeler come in on the same day and do the frame work so they could lay down the flat roof on top of it.Very thorough and professional.Went the extra mile so many companys dont do these days.Highly recommend!

My initial call to Landwehr Roofing was returned quickly by Josh Kramer, an appointment was made and Josh was on time. The day before the work was to be done Josh called to let me know when the crew would arrive along with the estimated time for the materials to arrive. The job was completed in one day, it looked great. I was impressed while watching the progress to see one of the crew look over the work of another crew member to point out a drip edge that overlapped in the wrong direction on the shed, the drip edge was then re-installed correctly. After the work was complete the crew did an excellent job cleaning up, going over the yard several times to make sure it was clean and the nails were picked-up by the yard magnet. While showing me the finished project Josh pointed out on the valleys that his crew had extended them to ensure water drained properly and installed a drip edge between the end of the guttering where it met the valleys, it had not been done on the original roof installation and was starting to cause rotting on a board. At the end of a long day when the crew had left, Josh went the extra mile and ran over my lawn again with the magnet to make sure the nails were picked-up. I appreciate the spirit of excellence in Josh and his crew and also the owner (Mike Landwehr) coming out to my house to look at the completed roof installation and make sure I was satisfied. I highly recommend Landwehr Roofing!

They tore off one layer of shingles and replaced them all in one day - we were very happy with the quality of the work and the dealings with the people. I would recommend them highly for a storm damaged roof (or any other type of roof work)

I have been so pleased with Landwehr Roofing. My son used them in 2011 for a roof replacement job due to a hailstorm after receiving estimates from three roofing contractors. Landwehr was the only company that didn't ask my son for the amount of his insurance deductible before they quoted the job. They came out, looked at the roof, quoted the work and discussed everything with my son. No pressure whatsoever. I have recommended them to three additional homeowners and they have been very pleased as well.

We got the Landwehr Roofing name from Angie's List and called them. Two days later they sent their foreman, Josh, to inspect the roof and give us an estimate. He climbed all over that roof measureing and inspecting, making notes. This was not a cursory glance but an inspection and evaluation of every nook and cranny. This led to a bid for the job with good discussions, questions and answers explaining materials, process and technique, choices, time frame, expense; Josh is certainaly knowledgeable and profesional, courteous, a good and responsive listener, and patient. Later, we contacted two other roofing companys to compare with each other and with the insurance adjuster and his estimates. It was an interesting experience; the estimates were similar but the materials, attitude, professionalisn did not measure up and it was obvious and easy to choose Landwehr. (Note that from beginning to finish, every phone call was answered or returned immediately and that every single date, time, deadline, was met. They did everyting they said they would do!) Landwehr began work within a week of our mutual agreement. They removed aproximently 31 squares of shingles and replaced the felt drip edge, pipe flashings and 7 roof vents along with the 31 squares of new shingles. They reflashed 2 chimneys and Installed moisture guard around the chimneys and in all valleys. Now, get this! They began all this, the delivery of all materials early Friday morning, began removing shinges and by noon began replacing the roof. They finished everything including an immaculate clean-up by Saturday night. If you get the notion that this was a slap-dash job you would be wrong. This was a professional job and preformed with care and craftsmanship. Upon completion of the new roof, I walked all over that roof with Josh and Mike Landwehr looking at everything they were looking at. They were really pleased with their crew, their hard wook, the materials and their accomplishmet. You could see that they were proud of their work. I was really proud of them, proud of myself for my excellent choice of a great roofing company and extra proud of my new water-tight and good looking new roof.

Very professional, polite, and friendly work crew. They were able to get me in earlier than expected, the roof looks great, and the yard was cleaner when they left than when they got here. Very happy with the company.

Josh came out to give us an estimate on a roof leak. We were worried it was going to be an expensive repair. Josh checked out the inside ceiling where we noticed the leak, then went up on the roof. Within a few minutes he found the problem. He fixed the minor problem with no charge. We couldn't be more pleased. We thought customer service was a thing of the past but Landwehr roofing shows it still exists. Thanks so much.

They provided a fast and accurate estimate, a full page of references (customers who had enlisted their services). After calling a random sample of these customers (all of which had a great experience to share with me) I was satisfied that they were a reputable and good quality roofer and gutter shop. They were the only ones that showed up on time gave me a detailed estimate with copies of their insurance certificate and a catalog of roofing shingles. I also delayed my project, I got the estimate in April but I told them I wanted to wait until June to do the project and on June 1st I got a call asking if I had a particular day in mind or whether any day in June would work. I told him any day would work for me, so two days later the shingles arrived and then the crew the following day. The roofing job was completed in one day and the guttering a few days later. They were also very neat and tidy as I did not see hardly any roofing materials in the yard (I had to look real hard) or driveway when the job was complete. I think I found a couple of nails in the yard in the winter but that was all. They also were the only roofer who had a warranty that was double of any other roofer that I received estimates from and was using a roofing felt that was twice the weight/thickness of any one else. I had my roof replaced two years ago and I have no issues or problems at all with their work. I would recommend them to anyone. By the way they will also show you their license to operate in your town as well.

They were punctual, courteous, and professional. One of the things that we liked was that on the day the shingles were going to be delivered, they called a day or two in advance to let us know that somebody would be coming to make the delivery. They were very good to keep us in the loop and let us know when to expect them or how their routine was going. The crew’s professionalism was good, but we did not have much contact with them. They had a foreman, and what contact we did have was through him. It was all good.

Overall they did a great job. They even caught a spot that was collecting water on our roof and fixed that.

Four years earlier I had someone else replace the shingles, but it leaked, very occasionally, maybe 6-7 times in 4.5 years. It's like it had to be a heavy rain and from a specific direction. The guy came back out several times. I got tired of him not being able to fix the problem so I called Landwehr. A really young "kid" came out told me exactly what the problem was and told me that he could fix it for about $400, but he recommended that I should go back to the first guy and have him fix the problem, armed with the knowledge of what was wrong. I did, but it still leaked, because the first guy didn't completely follow Landwehr's suggestion. Then we got hit with the worst hailstorm in the 25 years that we had lived at the house and insurance paid for a new roof. I was so impressed with the non-contract support from this young kid at Landwehr that I went to Landwehr for my roof this time. And when they removed the shingles from the house and around the fireplace (the source of the leak) they showed me the huge gaps that were hidden and the source of the leak. Hopefully now I won't have any more leaks. I thought that they did a much better job of cleaning up the nails and debris in the yard than the first guy. Their estimate was even slightly below the insurance allowance. We have been very pleased so far, but we haven't had a heavy rain to truly test it.

Landwehr removed old roofing material and replaced with new shingles, valleys, drip edge, vents, etc. They even painted all the existing water vents and other to match the shingles. As my previous roof had issues with leaks in and around the valleys, they were careful to make sure my concerns were addressed. They did a very professional job, at the exact price that was quoted. They were very thorough when cleaning up the jobsite. I recommend this company and would hire them again. I am very satisfied with their work.

We were very satisfied in Landwehr Roofing's responsiveness to our needs, and in their honest and fair appraisal of the damage to our roof. Herbie Landwehr arrived in 'exactly' the timeframe we were given; he was courteous and professional in his approach; he was thorough in his inspection; and, he was honest in his appraisal. While, in the end, Herbie informed us that there was only 'minimal damage' to our roof, he went the extra mile in providing us an estimate, not only for a roof replacement, in the event we were one day to go that route, but also, an estimate for a partial repair of a portion of our roof which extends over our porch that we have been concerned about for sometime ( unrelated to the 'damage' from the recent hail storm ) -- we 'will' contact Landwehr Roofing again for our roofing concerns, and would recommend them highly.

They did this last year. So I am very late in writing this review. Last Summer I enlisted Landwehr Roofing to replace some guttering, and replace the ridge vent (on a pyramid shape roof, very ineffective) with a power ventilator. The only problem I encountered was something beyond their control: The extreme heat of last Summer threw their schedule way off. Once they were able to accommodate my request, they were both efficient and performed quality work. The gutter modifications, including leaf guard, and new guttering in other locations, have worked perfectly. So does the attic ventilator. I won't hesitate to enlist the services of Landwehr again.

Fair, professional, honest and friendly. We had a few leaks in our roof and he did a thorough inspection, perfect repair and took the time to explain the issues. Super happy wold highly recommend!

My husband used them for new gutters. They put the wrong size on and did have to come out and fix them again. I give them a B rating but I did think the pricing was a bit high. They didn't come when they said they would and it was hard to get a hold of them. We called cell phones and office phone but we usually we got voice mail. In the end they did correct the problem and they did do a good job.

I called for someone to give us an estimate on replacing gutters that were probably original to our 1970's house and clogged with leaf debris. They were out to our house within a day or so to give us a bid. We decided to go with them due to their "A" rating on Angie's List. There were delays due to rain and a tornado, but we finally got the work done 12 days after their estimate. The two workers got to work a little later than planned and were finished in a few short hours. It looks great, and will hopefully be very low-maintenance with new leaf guards. Happy with results, just recommend to them to be proactive with updating customers about delays and schedule changes. I had to call to inquire about delays, otherwise, I would have given all "A's".

They were here when they said they would be and cleaned everything up when they finished.

We have had water seeping into our basement daylight window as the result of inadequate guttering. We also noticed everytime it rained hard the end caps at the guttering were overflowing, and not flowing down the down-spouts. I called Mike at Landwehr Roofing as I had read previous reviews on Angies list and was impressed. Mike scheduled a time came out as promised and actually "cleaned out" 2 ends that were clogged. He explained that one section of guttering where we had the "flooding" and overflow was not adequate in size. He gave us an estimate on replacing that area and installing the leaf screen on the entire back of the house and new 3x4 down spout on one end. His crew came out 2 days later--as scheduled. They rang the door bell to let us know they would be back there working. They completed the job in a timely--professional manner. Mike had a supervisor come out a few days later to check the work and we happened to get a "downpour" at the same time he was here...It drained all the water and there was no overflow from the downspouts at the top...PERFECT !!! NOW--The interesting part...during that downpour I was returning home and looked at the front of the house and water was pouring out of the "Top" of the ends of the guttering at 2 locations....We never even thought there was a problem there...SO..I have a call into Mike Landwehr again to come out and take a look---I completely trust them!!! Thank You Mike!!!

We were having leaking problems and ant infestation from the roof in a difficult low pitch home roof. They did a thorough evaluation and properly identified problems. And they fixed them. They were prompt, intelligent and did exactly what they said they would. We were very satisfied. Would recommend them highly. After many years experience with roofers, this company is the best we have seen.
