 + -1 morePerfect! The last piece they did was a cedar chest my father made in high school. It's so beautiful. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Furniture Medic refinished and antique table I had and created to leaves(sp) for it. They also redid my great-great-grandfathers rocker; completely regluing and upholstering it. They made some repairs and cleaned up the finish.

 + -1 moreCan't even notice where the repair was done. This was a white dresser. Very happy. Just wish it cost a little less.
Description of Work: Repaired bedroom dresser. Small area on the top was ruined. They made it look new again.

 + -1 moreI appreciate their honesty even though they did not repair the item.
Description of Work: We had a BEST glider/rocker which broke. We took it to Furniture Medic and they looked at it. The person was very honest and told us that while he could fix it, it probably would break again, just in a different place. He said that there was a minimum glueing fee of $109 and he would have had to make the spindles individually for an additional cost of about $25 each. I appreciated his being honest with us rather than trying to make a sale.

 + 0 moreI am very happy with them. They do good furniture repair and upholstery work. They are just a good company and a small business. I have used them before and will use them again.
Description of Work: I used Furniture Medic to clean my great grandfather's chair. They also restrung the springs and put on new upholstery.

 + -1 moreThis company is very courteous, professional, and communicates well. The estimate was done in a timely manner. Repair work was, for the most part, very well done. There was just one thing that stuck in my craw...there was one piece of furniture that looked like it was not on the list of items approved for repair and they did a "quick and dirty" replacement of a small part while they did the other work. It didn't match, but hey, it was a nice thing to do. Well, then it turned out it was indeed supposed to be on the official list of repairs and the moving company paid $50 as part of the claim....and Furniture Medic wanted it. I sent them the $50, but really? For $50, I would have expected the proper job, not the jury-rigged, miss-matched, doing-you-a-favor job. It spoiled a otherwise stellar experience.
Description of Work: Repaired furniture damaged in a move....mostly related to broken parts on wood furniture.
