Just FYI .. if anyone is interested in EcoWater Systems, DO NOT DO IT. we're military & moving in a few weeks, & we tried to get the system removed since the new owners don't want it. EcoWater doesn't have a military clause, which was explained to me very forcefully by a manager over the phone after being directed back & forth between EcoWater and the financing company. we were then told we could continue paying it off at our new location. the company that they finance through is called Aqua Finance, who placed a lein on the system without saying anything to us, meaning we had to pay the entire thing off before we could close on our house. we didn't find this out until we were signing the closing papers for the house. then, when EcoWater came to disconnect our system, they left huge holes in the sink & underneath it. they also left the purifier in the basement full of water, so the movers didn't take it, which we now have to figure out how to get it to our new location. aside from all that, they charged us a $93 fee for disconnecting it, which idk why we should have to pay more **** to this company when the whole thing has been a terrible experience. just don't do it.

My water is 18 grains hard and to get the softner to work I have to set it to 26 grains so it goes through a bag of salt each month and at $5 a bag thats $60 a year in salt, and I still have rings around the toilets and white spots on the shower doors. The price was supposed to be $600. and ended up $1200. . He was trying to be competitive with a new unit from Home Depot but we ended up with a piece of sh-t and at twice the price.
Description of Work: They took my old softner and overhauled it and put on a new control head on it which was supposed to make it better than a new softner from Home Depot.

Well, we love our system, I'm a little confused about the negative reviews on here but I guess you have to own one to appreciate having refined water. We owned a water softener for years and were tired of adding salt each and every month so we finally agreed to have a guy come out and test the water. Our water is definitly hard and when Eco Water came out we found that our softener was pretty much doing nothing, even though we were spending 20 dollars a month on salt. We couldn't believe it! The salesman was very well versed and knew what he was talking about. He did a bunch of tests, showing us the difference their system would make, it was very cool, and our kids loved it. The chlorine test was an eye opener for sure, I had no idea how much chlorine was in the water, but considering where we get our water from it made sense, it also made sense why I was going through 15 dollars worth of lotion a month. We were given a trade of 200 dollars on our old system, and haven't looked back. It is expensive but they also give you a lifetime warranty and 5 years worth of laundry and cleaning supplies that make up for the cost. We feel like its the best investment we have made in a long time, this is a very good example of "you get what you pay for"
Description of Work: We purchase a ERR 3500 Water Refiner and a RO 375 Reverse Osmosis, Installation was included for both, also included was running a line from the reverse osmosis system to our ice maker and 5 years worth of laundry and cleaning supplies from Healthy Living.

I would not use them again. This is the first time out of four years that there has not been a leak; they did not have to come back this time. They take my credit card information and every time I get a bill three or four months later telling me I am past due even though when I called them they said the credit card information was there and that they just did not catch it. If I could get rid of my system I would but this company always comes out on time.
Description of Work: I used EcoWater Systems of Kansas to replace the filters on my osmosis water filtration system.

My husband and friend went to Salina and went into a mall to fill out a form for a vehicle. The next thing we knew, we are getting calls from a person wanting to come out and "test" our water. We told them that my husband had been laid off from his job and we were now on a fixed income. The calls from this company stopped for awhile after we told them we weren't interested in their product and to quit calling. Then the phone calls started again last month and have been continuing not only from one phone number but for others as well that are with this company. These phone calls were coming to my husband's cell phone also, in which were not recognized by him. So he began documenting them. Last night he was told that the phone calls would continue until we had let them come to our home to "test" our water, again, my husband told them "No, we weren't interested". This man insisted on making an appointment for today at 6 in the evening to have our water "tested" and for our "free gift". A few minutes before he was supposed to come out, he called and insisted on rescheduling the appointment for 7:30 to 8:00 tonight, at first my husband agreed, but he forgot that we had other things planned. This man that called earlier to reschedule the appointment wanted us to reschedule the appointment for 3:00 on 12/21/2011. I then grabbed the phone from my husband and started talking to this man while we had a friend eating dinner with us. He asked me how I was doing and I informed him that I was getting angry, and he asked me why. I told him that this company has been told not once but twice that we weren't interested in their product and to quit calling. He started on me with a high pressure sales pitch and I told him that it was the week of christmas and WE weren't interested in anything that this company would want to sell. After all of this harassment, my husband and I are now going to call the police and make a formal report for all of the unnecessary phone calls. After repeatedly explaining this to them I still don't think that they are going to leave us alone until a formal complaint is issued with the police department. Please don't accept any phone calls from this company and don't fill out any forms because we have found out that it leads to high pressure sales like this company is trying to do.
Description of Work: we haven't had any service performed.

Please run away from this company! I have had so many problems with them, I don't know where to begin! You must repalce the filters yearly on these RO systems, and for 2 of the last 3 years the filters have leaked all over my custom cabinets! The year they did not leak, the technician did not show up on the scheduled day. The first leak was so bad I had to shut off the water to my house until they could get to me a couple of days later. Yes, I said DAYS. It was only after I threatened to cancel my service that they had a technician out. The second time I talked directly to the manager who I gave specific instructions on what time I would be home. They sent out the technician 4 hours before I said I would be home (thankfully, a neighbor could let them in)! I am beyond frustrated with them, and they don't care! We have Culligan at our office and they are far and above this company. I'm so sorry I did not use them at my house! Also, when the last technician came out, he nearly demanded I give him a referral name so he could win a contest to go fishing! Updated 6/4/12: this year I had problems AGAIN when they came out to perform the filter change. Beyond that, the technician wrote my credit card number on the bill, took it back to the company, and then I start getting bills and notices that my bill had not been paid! I finally got a hold of someone--when THEY called ME to harass me about the bill. I told them to check the receipt- where they promptly found the number, and processed it on the spot. I have left messages with the owner stating that I was having problems and talking to the manager was not cutting it-- I have not been able to talk to them yet. If you want to use this comapny, PLEASE buy my system from me so I can get a company I like!!
Description of Work: They replaced the two filters on my under cabinet RO system.
