E and J Concrete

I called Juan for an estimate on Thursday and work was done on Monday. The workers were polite, fast, and thorough. I had larg3 amount of pea gravel under the deck that I decided to save last minute. The original estimate Juan provided was going to pack the gravel down and pour over it. The workers used their bobcat to move the gravel before pouring the concrete upon my request at no additional charge. After the work was finished the workers rebuilt the part of my privacy they had to remove for access and even cut my gate for proper swing over the new sidewalk. Later that evening Juan came by the house to make sure I was completely satisfied. The price was great and the project was done quick and clean. 100% recommend E&J for all your concrete needs!

The job was done ahead of schedule because Juan was concerned about the drop from our sliding glass door after the deck was removed. The entire patio job took only two days. It went very smoothly.

They did BEAUTIFUL work, and we really liked working with Juan, he gave helpful suggestions and was thorough; but there were two things that bothered us: they ran into our young oak tree with their Bobcat, damaging it pretty badly, and didn't offer to do anything about it, even when I brought it to their attention. We thought the soil they brought in would be of better quality. We would definitely use them again for concrete work, though, and recommend them to people when we have that kind of opportunity.

Delayed the job start. No supervision of job site. Difficult to communicate with workers. Workers left it pretty messy. Spoke with owner about a crack and chalking the freeze-breaks which were sawed through the entire slabs( to avoid foundation washout). Twice.( Once in August and once in October. Last time he texted me "too cold senor to do your job" 10/26/2013. I responded that Monday was to be 72. Have no response. This contractor did not like my initial review prior to hire and believed and believed I used B as a grade to intimidate him and get a lower price for the job. I assured him that I would do a follow up after we cut our deal and the work was done to my satisfaction. I really expected an A+ rating at completion. So, I don't know if the rating influenced the behavior or not. But the behavior did not match the claims or my expectations. I called Angie's List and suggested that the list solicits comments prematurely and require that the job is done before the rating is given. Perhaps that is what is being done now. That's a good thing. UPDATE: Also repaired the working relationship with (the owner) me. He has offered to put another coat of gloss on it in the spring. I accept the offer and look forward to a pleasant relationship in the future.

Everything went perfectly! Juan is great to work with. He is very prompt, communicates well, and is professional. He was able to schedule us in very quickly so that we could have the patio completed by the following weekend. He responded to my call the night before the work was to be done with a last-minute question that I had. They took care of all the details - including having the a/c technician come out to move the a/c, so we did not have to worry about anything. They went above and beyond what was expected. They do great work - the end result is amazing! We are very happy with their services, and we will definitely recommend Eand J and will be using them in the future for concrete work.

E and J Concrete removed my old patio, transferred bushes as necessary, properly prepped the work contracted, framed and poured fresh patio and step in a decorative format with stamped and colored concret. The work was completed in a timely, efficient manner and they cleaned up the mess hauling away all debris. Juan and all of his employees were helpful and very pleasant to work with. I was extremely happy with their work and the finished product. I plan to contract with them in the future. I love my new paito and so do all of my neighbors! LR

Very disappointed, as he started off as very professional and seemed like a very nice man and then just blew me off. I know its a small job but he should have just said he couldn't do it from the start. I don't know what happened but considering all the glowing reviews on this site, I really expected at the very least a phone call. I also noticed another review on here dated 7/29/13 that states he didn't call them back either. I hope that nothing bad has befallen him. But I am very disappointed with the professionalism. I know this job was small, but eventually I will need my whole driveway redone and I have friends that I always refer to companies that do a great job. I thought from all the great reviews this would be one to add to my list. But sadly, that is not how it has turned out. I had told him from the 1st call that I was a member of Angie's List. I was really hoping I was going to be adding to the long line of glowing reviews.

The crew did an excellent job. They laid down plywood so their bobcat would not damage the lawn. The concrete removal was quick and efficient and no brickwork or siding was damaged. The crew member left behind after the concrete pour did a very good job of doing the fine detail clean up and of grooming the surface of the concrete. The work was completed in about 3/4 of a day.

They came on a Monday and by Wednesday they were totally done with a 90 foot long new driveway...Juan is so easy to talk to and when he needs to discuss something with you instead of by phone he will come to your home, I was very impressed by this....They did an excellent job....

OVERALL IT WASN'T A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. WE REALLY WANTED HIM TO DO THE JOB FOR US BUT HE WASN'T RELIABLE.

They were very good at communication and reliability. They cleaned up after themselves immaculately and worked quietly and quickly. I can't say enough good about them. We would call them again in a flash and would highly recommend them. Their pricing was not higher than other people.

They came the day we agreed and removed old. Installed new in one day, came back next to finish. Collard concrete looks great.

I was not at home when the job was being done. It got done sooner than expected and they even pulled a non working well for us. It looks great. We were not at home when the job was finished but Juan called us that night to see how we liked it. He came back the next morning and talked to us some more.

They went above as they back filled and cleaned everything better than they found it.

They did a real good job. Everything went very well. He did a good job. I would get back with him again if we had to do some concrete work. Their price was very reasonable.

After we agreed to have the job done, Eand J finished the entire project in 2 days. Professional, great communication, quality work. If you are looking to have concrete work done, have these guys give you an estimate. Their price was competitive and their work was excellent.
