Description of Work: Dan's Heating and Cooling replaced my complete heating & cooling system. My AC had gone out and I had gotten bids from 2 other companies plus Dan's. The other companies came out looked at the current equipment for sizing and gave me bids. | |When Steve, from Dan's, came out, he wanted to take a few minutes first to ask how our current system performed. Were there hot spots, cold spots, were some rooms always hot, always cold? Was the house comfortable when the old system was working? How long were we planning on staying in the house, and many other questions about our comfort and needs. | |Our basement was always cold in the winter; he found an air return located in the wrong place, not enough ducts, and a floor drain that always flooded during the summer because of the AC condensate stopping up the drain. He proposed solutions to these issues, which have made a tremendous difference in the comfort of our home. | |Looking at the old equipment was the last thing he did. Steve was very thorough when determining our needs. | |Their equipment prices were in-line with the other bids I had received. | |Steve offered solutions to solve our comfort problems that the other contractors never even asked about. They even set a temporary AC unit to work with my schedule and to help them out as well. | |Their techs were very professional and did an excellent job at cleaning up their mess each day. They always had tarps covering the floors and everything was picked up right away. | |I would strongly encourage you to consider Dan's for your heating & cooling needs.

Description of Work: A sales representative responded to give an estimate on a floor furnace and any work that would have to be done. He took the measurements and information saying he would contact me. After about three weeks I called him he said he was waiting on information from his supplier. I never heard back. If he couldn't do the job, didn't want to do the job or any other reason for not doing the job he should have told me so I could have moved on to a company that could. I had gotten an estimate from Dan's Heating and Plumbing several years ago with very poor results but thought because of good ratings on Angie's List they were reputable, reliable or something good. My experience this time didn't prove that to be so.

Description of Work: I have a service contract with Dan's. They service my heating and cooling system. Always professional and knowledgeable. They've recently added plumbing to their services but I have not used that service...yet.

Description of Work: They checked my AV unit and heater to see if they are performing properly. It went great!

Description of Work: Routine maintenance on furnace was performed. I did pay extra to the company to replace the humidifier filter so the cost was higher than the initial groupon cost. I scheduled my appointment on line but the scheduler made the appt for a different day than I requested and I did not catch the mistake. So they ended up coming on a different day than I requested, but they were prompt and professional on this day. I had already purchased an air filter and had it sitting close to the furnace in plain view. Other companies I used for this service changed the filter even though I did not purchase it from them, but this company did not. It was easy enough to change myself - I was just surprised it was not changed by them.

He took the time to explain what he had done and the overal condition of the furnace. I will definitely use again. |This was an Angie's List special that I purchased. This is twice I have purchased an AL special and very pleased with both.

Description of Work: They came because I had water leaking from the furnace. They found a leaking pipe. They charged $85.00 but could not do anything. Decided to clean my furnace and gave me a $10 coupon.
