Dan's Heating and Cooling

I got a call the day before from the office reminding me of the service. Then I got a call from the serviceman 30 minutes before. He arrived on time and went to work, even humming a 'happy' tune while he worked. I remarked that it was cool that someone enjoyed his work so much. I called the company office to say how much I was pleased. The office also helped me with a billing questions to my total satisfaction. Dan's customer service is extremely professional and responsive. I can recommend Dan's to everyone.

It has worked fine since they serviced it. I plan on having them out again this fall just for peace of mind.

When I made the appointment the charge is $75.00. The repairman called to say he was on the way. I showed him the furnace and explained the problem. (the pilot light came on , but the ignition wouldn't) The repairman spent some time trying to figure out why . Because he was not real familiar with my brand of furnace he called someone that was. They informed him that it was probably one of two things. He left the first time to get some wires for the gas line. That did not work. He then went and got the gas line smart valve. After installing, it kept working. He turned it off and on several times to make sure it would continue to ignite. The original $75.00 diagnostic charge was put on bill.and $762.79 was the cost of labor and repairs.

I can see why they are at the top on Angie's list. I would recommend them to anyone.

They showed up on time and they did the maintenance work and there were no extra hidden charges. I always get charged for a filter and I was not even charged for that. Technician was nice and explained everything he did. Loved their services.

Everything that one would expect in a routine furnace service was done to 100% satisfaction.

Adrian was the Tech. He called me the day of the appointment to say his schedule had changed and he could come earlier which worked for me. He was prompt, did the required servicing and answered any questions I had. I was happy with the Service and will use Dan"s again in the future.

Once again, I took advantage of Angie's Dig Deal and the service was as good as Angie's promised. Dan's Heating was very quick at responding to my e-mail. The repairman was very kind and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and did a good job.

They promptly came out to do an estimate and determine the unit size required. I had three companies doing estimates and Don's was the lowest. The came out did the work with installation going quickly and smoothly. The used an electrical contractor of their choosing so it made scheduling easy. The unit seems to work as advertised and is extremely quiet. I would use this company as a first choice.

Great service. Good price. I was very pleased. I had an estimate from 4 companies. This company gave a great service, and better price! Happy.

They were running early and I met Henry at my house around noon. Henry was fantastic and went out of his way to thoroughly test my older furnace and couldn't find any problems. He also serviced the A/C and cleaned it up. I would definitely use Dan's again and would ask for Henry as my technician.

Normal arrived on time and thoroughly checked out the unit, quoted me two options and said if I had them do the replacement that would apply to the bill. They came out 2 days later to install the new units promised. That person was also very easy to work with.

They were on time, reasonably priced, pleasant and courteous and thorough. They were also very neat and left the area around the condenser much cleaner and neater than it had been.

My old A/C went out on the early morning hours of August 13th. I quickly did some research on Angie's List and contacted Dan's from work. Steve Gile from sales called soon after my initial call and we set an appointment for later that day. Steve was on time. With tools in hand, he gathered the information he needed to prepare an estimate. We discussed some problems we have had in cooling our upstairs bedrooms. Steve went to his truck and prepared a proposal with a couple of options. I accepted the proposal and the contract was signed. As they had all their servicemen committed on other jobs, the soonest we could have the work performed was on August 18th. My wife is on oxygen and the heat really makes it difficult for her to breath. I thought we would be staying in a motel until the A/C could be replaced. Steve surprised me when he offered to have a repairman come out later that day and install a used temporary unit so we could stay in our home. Juan, a Journeyman A/C installer, removed the old condensing unit and installed the temporary unit that evening. On the morning of August 18, Juan and Terri (another Journeyman installer), began the work. I went to work that morning and called my wife to see how everything was going. She said they had the cooling unit installed and running in the morning. When I came home from work, everything was working as promised; the installers were removing their tools and the drop cloths they had put down to protect our carpets. I was really impressed by their professionalism. Both my wife and I are grateful for the extra temporary work they provided for my wife?s benefit.

I had originally called the office to cancel the appointment with the salesman, Steve Gile, but somehow that message didn't get to him. He arrived at the time we had originally set. And I'm glad that he came. I had estimates from two other companies. The estimate I received from him was for a unit of better quality and the cost was comparable to what I had been given. He also explained to me how they would go about the installation. At 8:30 am, Steve Gile arrived at my house with the two workmen. He took the workmen around and showed them what was needed for the installation. They laid down canvas runners on my carpet to keep them clean. As the were installing the air conditioner, it became very apparent that the new unit was about 3 times larger than the old unit and would not fit in the same area. It would have to be relocated. Relocation of an a/c unit normally takes an additional day with additional costs. However, they were given permission from the office to proceed with the relocation at no additional cost. I was relieved. The workmen were very courteous, polite and efficient at the work they performed. They stayed focused on the job and were able to complete a two-day job in one longer day leaving by 7:00 pm in the evening. And they left their work areas clean. The city inspector arrived the next day and was very impressed by the installation.

The service turned out well. They did exactly what the deal stated. I provided the filter so there were additional fees. The technician was very friendly and thoroughly. Scheduling went very smoothly.

It went wonderful. Very thourough, very attentive. They wanted to make sure everything was done correctly. Showed up when they said they would. Very polite. I can' say enough nice things about them. Sent a person to go over the new system with us. The owner stopped by to insure everything worked correctly. Also, will do a follow up call with owner next week to insure everything works properly.

Because it was late in the day Dan's couldn't get anyone out until the following day. That was o.k. I'm happy with the improvement in the cooling upstairs. I saved a lot. This review is early and maybe premature. I'm hoping the fix is lasting and effective. The only hang up was that I was at my job 30 minutes away from home and was expecting a phone call in advance to tell me when the servicemen would arrive. Unfortunately, for the servicemen at least, I didn't get that call. Instead the only call came when the servicemen were at my home. I rushed home from work. Anyway, I don't want that to be a distraction from the fantastic work and professionalism of the servicemen. It was probably a slip-up in the business office, I believe.

It went very well. He introduced himself and explained what he was doing and answered my questions. Letting me know all is in good order and replaced the furnace filter. Of course, I would recommend this company every time.

It went well although we had some delay. We had a little trouble when they installed the A/C unit which was the most vital part since it was really hot; that was last September so it was like an emergency. Everything seems to be working well. They were polite and tell you what they were doing. They made everything right as far as I know.

They're really good. They were great and we really liked them.

I told the tech that I was aware I had a leak and needed to know where and an estimate to fix. He advised that wasnt included in the service call. I was unhappy because for 75$ I felt I learned nothing new, and the tech advised it may take several hundred to find the problem. I decided to contact another company that would do more than a visual assessment for the service call. I contacted Midwest Mechanical after and they found the leak within 5 mins and I contracted them to fix. Awesome review for them.. Not so much for Dans.

This is a very professional and polite group to work with. They show up when they say they will, everyone we met was polite, they staggered lunches so someone was here working at all times and they were careful to not track dirt in the house as they were coming and going. We definitely upgraded systems and have been very pleased with the new products. We had a couple of weird electrical trip ups but someone was dispatched right away and, each time, took a good amount of time explaining what was going on (once was just a bad breaker) without ever acting like we were wasting their time. The employees we met NEVER spoke ill of the company or management and, in fact, frequently praised how their boss would always go the extra distance to make certain customers were satisfied. We did not hear any profane language being used and, again, this was one of the most professional groups we have ever done business with. From the salesman to the serviceman we were pleased to be working with such a competent group. I even had to call the owner at home on one issue as the dispatch line wasn't working. He immediately handled our service concern and even called back the next day to explain the problem they found in their phone system. How did I get the owner's hoome phone number? It was given to us by the salesman in case we ever had a time that we were not having our expectations met by the rest of the team. We would highly recommend Dan's Heating and Cooling to anyone needing quality, professional work on their air handling systems.

Very professional, very good price excellent attitude by both the representative and the installer. Couldn't ask for a better company to be associated with.
