Description of Work: "I was given the name of Construction Solutions as a general contractor that could fix all the storm damage incurred on my house in Wichita this April of '15. When I called All State to inform them of the damage, the representative told me I needed an estimate of the repairs and recommended Construction Solutions, so I called and the sole proprietor, Luther said he'd be over that same day to give an estimate of the damages, I said I would meet him at my home in 30 minutes. He arrived earlier than he said he would and did not wait for me, or call, but went ahead and took a hasty look at things while my wife showed him the damages to the fence, 1 exterior window and garage door. I arrived 5 minutes after he left to be informed he gave no dollar estimate or paperwork of any kind, only left his card. I called back to ask what the estimate was and he said he wouldn't be able to come back until 4-5 days later! I said that wouldn't do, I needed an estimate to move things forward so he shot me a bloated ballpark figure. That was good enough to get things moving, and he met with the adjuster when the time came a few weeks later. The check came from All State without the garage door included, which Luther said was All State's mistake. All State amended the claim adjustment and sent a new check, then work commenced on the fence and garage door. Construction Solutions used a sub-contractor for the fence, who did replace the fence well enough, but the old post holes were not removed, just dug new holes next to the old broken ones. I could have done that myself. I did not complain one bit. I suspect a sub-contractor was also used for the garage door, but am not certain. I am certain that the door that replaced my old one was much cheaper, louder, and not the same color. I can't believe none of this was discussed with me, but, shame on me if I ever do any of this type of work without confirming the details up front. Again, no complaints from me. Luther then informed me the window would take 4 weeks to order and then it could be fixed, but that he needed to pay his guys and could I pay for these two parts of the job that were finished. I had no idea how this would be an issue, so I agreed and wrote him a check for these repairs. Shame on me if I ever do that again. Then comes the worst part of it all. When the time came and went (June 1st) for the window to have been delivered I called and called, left Voicemail and texted him when was the window going to begin? After a week of unanswered messages, I called from my work phone and he answered (around June 10th). I asked what's the story and he said he was in a meeting and he'd call right back. He called, I couldn't pick up, he left a voicemail, then I called back and he answered, saying the window was damaged when it came in. He said he didn't know how long it would be to get a new one but that his vendor was trying to rush a replacement. I told him that was okay for now, just tell me as soon as you find out when it would be in. Fast forward 4 more weeks... and I heard nothing. More emails, phone calls, voicemail's, and repeated pleading in all these formats just asking if he was able to fix the window or not. It was during this time that I listened more closely tho Voicemail he left, saying that the wrong window was ordered... Finally, completely frustrated and exasperated, I called the All State representative who had recommended him to me, told her what happened, which she said was out of character. She said she would contact me and find out what happened, and get back to me. She called back and said he would be calling me later that day. That call never came, I contacted All State again and she did not know what to tell me. Apparently, I must have done something to him that warranted him not giving me an answer, or else this is just one of the most unprofessional businesses you could ever try to work with. It's now September and I am just now getting this window replaced, since the next company I contacted said 6-8 weeks to deliver (and $400 higher than Construction Solutions estimate). Learn from my misfortune and steer clear of Construction Solutions."
