Was installed in our new house. Only used 2 nails on one side. Board that holds the spring up broke because of not enough support. Waiting now for service to come out from another company. Do not recommend

We will NEVER recommend Cheney Door to anyone we know for any type of business. The worst customer service, communication, and business deal we have ever experienced. Ordered our overhead door in June, 2022 upon the completion of our finished outbuilding, was told initially told 6-8 weeks before the door would be in and able to be delivered for installation. That time came, and we had not heard from anyone from the company. Finally after multiple attempts of getting ahold of Allen, the manager of the Hutchinson store, we were explained that we would not be receiving our door until October. Had all this been communicated to us, we would have understood, but it was pulling teeth any time we tried to get information out of them. Finally, our door arrived and was installed the last week of October (damaged but at least it got here). After multiple encounters with Allen, he failed to order us a garage door opener while my husband talked to him at least twice about the specifications of our door. After all was said and done, we were very upset with the terrible communication, poor customer service, and length of time for anything to be accomplished. We proceeded to inform Allen's superior, Steve, about this incident. This was our biggest mistake of all, because instead of being concerned about our experience and taking care of his customer, he found that Allen failed to bill us for the garage door opener in the original quote of $3500. Therefore, he then asked us to pay an extra $1000 and some change that we were not originally billed for, after our final bill had been taken care of. Here we are, eight months later, and he still only cares about making sure he gets payment for the door opener that was installed, and Allen is still not taking care of his customers. Really bad business, coming after the customer for a massive personnel mistake. Again, we will never take our business here, nor recommend them ever again.

It went so fast, and the price was very reasonable. Would recommend them any time to anyone needing a professional job done in a hurry. They recommended replacing both springs, as when one breaks, the other isn't far behind. So we replaced both springs.

The person answering the phone was polite and friendly. she said they most often recommended that you replace both springs when one breaks as historically the other would most likely break soon after and require another trip charge. I debated but went ahead and agreed . She said they still had one spot open to come out the same day. I could not be here but my daughter came by to let them in. She said the guy was on time, polite, helpful. He lubed the system and fixed part of the rubber seal on the bottom of the door that was falling down. Did great job. Very pleased.

We had problems without door closing for years and delayed calling for service due to concern for what the cost would be. It finally stopped working all together and we were forced to call. Left a message Sunday night and received a return call 7am Monday to schedule service that day. The technician was super nice and knowledgeable. I work nights and asked if he could just do the work and leave a bill for me so I could sleep. He did this without hesitation. I'm not sure how long the work took but it was repaired to look better than new. He repaired the part of the door that was bent instead of replacing it. The whole job was super inexpensive and very professionally done. I'm kicking myself for not having them come sooner. I am very happy with the work done and would rate them an A+ if I could.

Garage door had been stopping halfway up or down for a few days and had totally stopped working on a Friday before a holiday weekend. Had to take off the chain and raise it manually. Called Cheney Door Tuesday morning after the holiday weekend assuming they would be especially busy because of a short week. They had someone out in 3 1/2 hours and it only took 1/2 hour to fix. We had heard good things about this company and now we now why. could not be more pleased with the service. Highly recommend!

The service man replaced the spring and was able to salvage and repair the frame panel which was a big relief and cost savings. The gentleman who worked on the garage door was obviously skilled at his job and was customer oriented. Breath of fresh air these days. I will recommend this company to friends and family.

Replaced a damaged garage door. Had them in stock - were able to get right out and measure the day I called, installed it within the same week. Outstanding responsiveness.

I would definitely use Cheney Door again. Every one we dealt with with this company was very professional from the receptionist, to the scheduler and the installer. I appreciate their promptness and punctuality of both the service calls that we had and would definitely recommend them to others.

The spring on our garage door broke and we were unable to open the door. We called Cheney Door and they sent out a repair man within a day or so. The door was fixed promptly.

I had called a handyman service which scheduled me two weeks in advance, but I wanted the garage door seal replaced sooner than that with colder weather approaching so I called Cheney Door Company. They came out the next day, accessed the problem would require a retainer as well since mine was cracked. I had thought I would have to probably buy an entire new garage door but Brandon of Cheney Door Company fixed it, put in the retainer, put in the seal, oiled it and changed the bulbs in the garage!! It looks and works like new. He was polite, professional and knowledgeable. I also appreciated the business administrative staff explaining the charges and the work before it was done. The experience was a breeze. I can easily and with good conscience recommend them to anyone else. I wish they did handyman work. I'm still waiting for the handyman service's scheduled date. Great service from this company and the two technicians who came to my home. They arrived right on the dot, were very professional, and did a great job. I love it when repair people obviously like what they do, are expert at the job and don't try to upsell but provide sound advice. That was the case with Cheney Door. I have no hesitation in recommending this company. I have now used them twice and my partner has used them a number of times (she had them install a new garage door recently in addition to using them for maintenance). On both occasions I used them, they have performed exceptionally.

Particularly, their willingness to accept a challenging a construction task. I was exptemley impresed with their punctuality and professionalism. Ronnie Lloyd came out on the scheduled appointment time. He took it on himself to do the inspection despite of a pouring rain and high wind. He was patient and superb. He was able to expertly install the custom door before he departed. I would also like to commend the sales manager, Alan, who initially came out to inspect the job and determined it would be very difficult. They were outstandingly professional. This was the first time they had done a project like this.

Very good. They said they would be there at 7 AM and showed up at 6:45 ready to go. I opened the door half asleep and the gentleman identified himself and verified he was at the right location. I opened up the garage and let them in. They went right to work, had everything ready. There were two of them. I was impressed with the effeciency in the way they had their process down. You could tell that they did this before since they both were working on things at the same time. They took down the old door (everything including the old opener) in a matter of minutes. I went back inside and got the kids ready for school checking on them periodically. We left approximately 7:45 AM to take the kids to school. When I got back the new door was up and they were sitting in the truck waiting on me to get back (8:00 A.M.). When I got back they had me inspect the job and explained the operation of the new door and where I needed to caulk around the outside. When I inspected, I noticed it was a pretty solid job with everything picked up. I was impressed with the speed and quality of thier work. The only con I had is that one of them asked to use the restroom. Kind of made me nervous and put me on point. He went about his business and went right back out to work. I would have no problem recommending them again. One guy was kind of...... off, but so am I.
