My furnace fan started squealing on Sunday night. I had the furnace cleaned and checked about 10 days ago. They said it was in good shape. When I looked at the insides of my furnace when the sqealing started, the fan was dusty. I managed to get a few drops of oil in the fan motor. It would work for a while before squealing. I called my insurance company. They called and faxed Budget. I waited for 3 hours. Nothing. I called the insurance company back, they said he would be out first thing in the morning. They called and came out. He oiled the fan too, and told me to run the fan on "fan" on the thermostat. It would run better. He said he would be back wednesday morning with a new fan motor. That worked ok, till Christmas eve, at 7 pm. The motor died. I had to run my electric stove to keep the house from freezing, with fans. I called them 2 times wednesday, no answer. It went to voicemail. It is Thursday, and I called again. No reply. I called the insurance company back they give him 2 hours to call them or me to get it done or reason why. No word from them. I will be without my furnace for 4 days if someone gets here and fixed yet today. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. They should have called and given a lame excuse if they did not feel like doing it during the holidays. The heating and air business is not 8 hours a day, unless you do not care to make money. This man and his wife team ( a woman showed up with the man, Jason ) are not interested in being professional. I do not recommend them for anything.
Update: The insurance company finally got a hold of him. (Thursday at 1130 am.) He said he ordered the fan motor, and will be in Friday. He did not call me to tell me that. He stated to me that he would get the motor wednesday. I assumed it was a common motor, and there are 2 huge electric warehouses here. The insurance company said his company probably has to buy from a certain place. This is a mom/pop operation, they should get the parts from a local place, especially if it is rather an emergency to the customer. The insurance is paying them anyway. I may update when they finish the job, hopefully on Friday. I have been stuck at the house for 2 days waiting on them.Licensing
