Bear Roofing

We paid him over $6000 up front to purchase supplies for the roof and also expenses of interior renovation. He screwed up a ton of stuff on the interior renovation and so we just asked him to do the roof. He told us he had already spent the money and we needed more money so he could buy the supplies. He refused to pay his workers as well. The trim on the interior work is terribly done. We have contacted the Wichita DA's office, Better Business Beureau and Angie's List. He has now completely dissapeared. We have now found another crew that is completing the work on the roof, but our bedroom is destroyed. He never covered a thing in the bedroom and everything was covered in plaster. We would call or text him, often 20 times or more, about when he would be there to work. He often showed up 4-6 hours late if at all and sometimes we have not been able to contact him for days on end. The ceiling in our closet has popcorn ceiling sprayed over the lights. He was really friendly at first, but he steadily became more and more unreliable. His best worker quit because he was owed money for 50+ hours of work. He also had no license or permits to do any of the work according to the DA's office. He told us that he ordered a custom door from Lowe's which he never did. We are not going to have to spend thousands of dollars more just to fix the things he did wrong. The shelving and hanging rods in the closets all came out of our pocket ($1000) as well.
