Description of Work: They installed a sliding door in 2000 and a front double door storm door in 2013. Both installations were well done and high quality. We recently ordered 4 Pella window and installation from them and paid down payment. They were scheduled to arrive and be installed in Mid-September. Their quote was very competitive on price compared to another quote.

Description of Work: Complete basement finishing. |Project management was exemplary. Subs were in and out in a very timely manner. They were very courteous. Quality of the work is excellent! Rodney, the project manager, was quick to respond to our questions and needs. We had hoped to get by for less money, but it is better to pay for good, quality work.

It DID NOT.
Description of Work: The contractor was extremely rude and was at the house for approximately 5 mins to give an estimate on finishing a basement bathroom. He took one measurement for the job. I called and spoke to Steve who is a co-owner and he was very nice and upset with the way things went. I told him I would not be using him for this job.

Ms. [Member Name Removed], I am sorry that your son thought our salesman was rude and did not do a thorough job on the first inspection of the project. After investigating it further, our representative showed a sketch layout of the area and notes on the specifics of the project and products as discussed with David. There was little more than he could do at that time because the first meeting is an information gathering appointment and they did schedule a follow-up to meet again and review pricing and further details. He will certainly in the future do a better job of communicating the process to clients. Again, I apologize that the soft spoken nature of our representative was perceived to show a lack of caring for your son's project and we do wish him the best on his remodeling project. Description of Work: We had Gray and Son Construction do our composite deck. It was suppose to have a grade and drain. We had a pool under our table. They redid it. It now has a grade and draining correctly. Later, they will be screening in our patio below. |

Description of Work: Remodel of back porch laundry/mud room. | |Though the quality of the finished product was good, Neither my wife nor I appreciated the staccato scheduling of the work (e.g., work one day, no work the next day, work one-half day, no work the next day, etc.) | |I understand the difficulty in scheduling subcontractors like plumbers, electricians, sheet-rockers, etc. from having been in the contracting field myself at one time, but the on-again, off-again pace of the work made us feel that our job was not a priority with this company.

We completely understand your frustration and we want you to know that we took every opportunity to expedite the project to be able to turn the room back over to you in working order. We never want our customers to feel that their project and home are anything less than our top priority. These remodels in small areas are a challenge when dealing with several trade contractors. We did have several days where work was not performed while waiting on the schedule of the next tradesman, but very little could be done until that item was completed. We apologize that our scheduling for your project has been considered sub-standard. This remodeling project at your Eureka lake house is out of our typical service area. We had agreed to take on this project because we had always enjoyed working with you and your husband at your home in Wichita. Of course, since this was written we have completed a significant portion of the work that is to be done, and we will continue diligently to complete this project in a timely manner. Obviously it is challenging to work as effectively as needed so far outside of our area, so for future projects, we will need to refer you to a contractor that is local to Eureka, KS. -Steve Hund, Vice President
