It couldn't have possibly gone more worse. Mike Wall at Affordable Decks took our $3000 deposit for material and never showed up at the scheduled time for work to begin. We tried calling and leaving messages, but he NEVER answered his phone and refused to return calls. When contacted via email, he responded with brief somewhat vague communications and excuses for not having started work. Each time the start date got pushed, and each time he never showed up. He finally said he would refund our deposit, but he never sent the refund... We have literally been trying to follow up with him for weeks doing our best to give him the benefit of the doubt, but enough is enough. After 3 months of patience with the guy, we still don't have our deposit back. Save yourself months of headaches and a trip to small claims court - consider yourself duly warned.

Mr Wall has not done ANY of the work he was contracted to do. There was some delay on the project due to rain, but on the days he could have worked he never came or called. I called him on a Thursday several days after the rain had stopped and the weather was going to be dry. He said he was working another job, and would start the following Monday. He never showed up and never called. I called and left a message for him to give me a reason he hadn't shown up or to refund my deposit. He has NEVER responded. I have had to go to court to get my money back, and which I have yet to receive.

The work was above and beyond what anyone would expect. The job is perfect in every detail. We are so pleased. Mike and his crew are true craftsmen.
