It went very well! Earlier in October 2018 my garage door would not go up -- it made noise but would not go up. I checked Angie's List and found two companies that were recommended. One was Overhead Garage Door -- I have used them in the past and I was not very happy with them. I chose 1A Garage Door Service this time to repair my garage door. They were able to come the next day. Kenneth Ness came and did a great job. He came on time, and was very friendly and talkative, He saw right away that the problem was that the very old springs needed to be replaced. He told me about the three options I had to replace them: one with a two -year warranty, one with a five-year warranty, and one with a lifetime warranty -- each of these options was a different cost, of course. I made my decision, and he got to work right away. After he replaced the springs, he lubricated all of the hinges and also tightened all of the bolts, which was needed. He also answered my questions about how often I should lubricate the hinges (twice a year), why some garage doors are noisier than other ones, and how much I should start saving for new garage doors (that will be needed soon). Kenneth was very helpful and easy to work with. He used a tablet, and the estimate that he gave me at the beginning of the job was the amount I paid at the end of the job.
