.We got a response fairly quickly, with a person here to assess our old motor and replace it. He was very nice, professional, knowledgable. We had another motor installed within a week, and he saved us money. He didn't try to sell us a brand new motor for twice the price. We are happy with the services provided.

They have always been helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate our time schedules and did difficult work at times. Very professional and more so, very knowledgeable. The phone thing is a hassle but we've always had phone calls returned that day and they were very professional..
Description of Work: Over the years we have had a new liner put in, A new cover, the skimmer cut out of the concrete and replaced, the steps at the end dug out and jacked back in place because the installer did it wrong, a new heater. All this was over a 15 year period.

The pricing is a little higher but they did a good job. Little Richards Pool and Spa Inc is an honest company. I would absolutely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: They put a new cover on, drilled holes for the cover and did some closing of the pool.

I was impressed with the work they did. That is where it ends. They have HORRIBLE customer service. You never talk to a person, you always leave a message, and if you are lucky, someone calls you back. While they are working on your pool, they leave you notes taped to your windows or house- and don't call to make sure you got them and/or understand them. Did I mention one of these notes was duct taped to our NEW sliding glass doors? Not acceptable. Next, after we had a problem with our automatic cover- that we had told them on numerous occasions was a recurring problem- they refused to cover it under warranty because they "didn't work on that part"-- but they replaced the entire cover and installed a rebuilt motor, so how this was their response, I will never understand. This was less than 60 days after they installed it. Getting them to come out and look to see why we were having the problem was worse than pulling teeth. We called 5 times before they would fix them problem, and another 5 times before someone would call us about the bill we received. By the way, they think their service is worth $95.00 an hour. I don't even pay my Heating and Air guy that much-- and he answers the phone each time I call! If all you want is to have the work done and never see the people or have it serviced again, these are your people. If you are looking for a long-term relationship with your pool service, keep looking! UPDATE: 6/4/12: When we first tried to open our pool in May, we were unable to do so because the motor we had bought from them was no longer working. After having an electrician look at it, the motor was found to be bad. We called to get warranty work done, and they REFUSED. We had to go to another company and buy a NEW motor (another $1,500.00 to fix a problem they should have been responsible for). We are happy with the new motor purchased from another pool company. FURTHERMORE, our liner is pulling away from the side and sagging in FOUR spots. The largest spot, is a 5 inch long gap that sags about 3/4 of an inch down, exposing the metal backing. It looks horrible! The other three spots are not as big, but it is only a matter of time until they are. With our last liner we only had problems with sagging after 8 years of use. That is reasonable-- 9 months is not-- espeically when you consider many of those months were winter months when our pool was clsoed! We called again asking for WARRANTY work, considering we have not even had this liner in for a FULL YEAR, and were again DENIED. Apparently they do not warranty their workmanship. If the liner was fading or something to that effect I could get it replaced by the manufacturer, but they do not cover the poor installation of the liner. I ask you, when have you bought a product where the warranty by the manufacturer is longer than the workmanship warranty!?!? If I had been told this in the beginning, I would have never used them. That is such a RED FLAG! If you aren't going to stand behind your work, why should I choose you? In my first response, I did say the work was done well and that was my only satisfaciton with them. Now that I have these problems not even a year later, the work is no longer worth the money I gave them. As for the response by the company, it is mostly unfounded. We called them MULITPLE times for fixes that WERE their problem. We did not pay our ENTIRE bill until this work was completed becuase we know first-hand what happens when you pay a bill IN FULL before the work is satisfactory--the work is never finished or fixed. In the position they put us in, the remainder of the bill was our only leverage to make sure we had the work completed. Check our profile, we give favorable reviews for comapnies that EARN them. We do not give them to companies that do not. If you do decide to use them, I wish you luck, I know that I did not have any... UPDATED 7/11/12- We did file a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau. This was over a month ago (6/4/12), and we have not heard ONE thing from them. They are obviously not going to stand behind their work, and we are going to have to go elsewhere to get our pool liner fixed so it doesn't look like Billy Bob put it in on his first day on the job. SO disappointed- in fact, that doesn't even begin to describe it. I feel used and taken advantage of. I spent WAY too much money with them to have them act like they owe me NO WARRANTY or SERVICE. It is also important to note that they were not even willing to come LOOK at the problem to determine if they were responsible without charging me a trip charge- so they have not been out to look at it- I shouldn't have to pay a trip charge for that!
Description of Work: They removed my old liner, poured a new pool bottom, and replaced the pool liner. They also removed and replaced my pool cover and cover motor.

We bent over backwards for the members. We came out each and every day and even on Sundays to appease them, and still not good enough. She ( the member ) simply didn't want to pay the bill once we performed the work she hired us to do. We went above and beyond the work estimated, and returned several times more for problems that had nothing to do with our workmanship at all! We fixed those UNRELATED problems FOR FREE! The member called rudely and yelled and demanded we get to her pool problems ( those not related to any work we performed or were paid for at her pool) all while she was refusing to pay her final bill for replacement pool floor, and vinyl liner! We have been in business pleasing customers for 34 years. I pick up the phone when I am not on the other line answering another call. I call back as soon as I can, but am the only office personnel by choice! We want to keep our customer service personal and figured out after years of doing business, too many people answering calls didn't better the communication or speed up service! Therefore, a little PATIENCE and waiting for a business to call back within the same hour or two is hardly poor customer service...considering many companies have 15 prompts to push before you can even get to a place to leave a message. Call a government entity. NO answer, rarely a call back at all, or even a place to leave a voicemail message. I answer calls in the order they come in and get back with customers as quickly as I can, or send a technician. I personally called out a technician late on a Saturday and again on a Sunday to fix parts NOT RELATED AT ALL to the work we were hired to do. When I attempted to explain again the findings, the member refused to communicate with me and rudely demanded someone else to speak with. I suggested Richard call the member to communicate with him the circumstances regarding their pool. To briefly explain our dispute..just because you put on new fabric doesn't mean the mechanism that runs the fabric back and forth is replaced. I compared it to putting a new coat of paint on your car. When the paint job is performed, the shop doesn't also overhaul the engine for FREE! If the engine needs overhauled, that would be separate, and cost extra. Similarly, we never bid the mechanism work, never got paid for the mechanism work, but we let her know the unit could use some maintenance, as a professional company with over 30 years experience would. We did put in her liner, replaced the entire pool floor, and put on a new fabric and did more than she requested by hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours. This got us a poor report on Angie's List? The member is very difficult to deal with, and doesn't listen ( instead yells and hangs up) when our technician or myself try and explain. We have to leave notes because no one comes to the door when our technician rings, and many times during the weeks we were there, no one was home. We leave notes to communicate. I can only let other customers reading this feedback know we are here to be of service, and have been for years and plan on doing a consciencious job for years to come. However, we don't plan on doing thousands of dollars of work for someone for free because they yell the loudest, or write dishonest reports, or refuse to pay their bill. After months of not paying their final bill after the work contracted was completed, Richard met the member and explained what we had been trying to explain to the member for months. He listened, understood, and paid the remainder of the bill due for the work we performed. We also came out and worked on their mechanism and did so for free! I hardly call that poor customer service. Our family business will stand behind our workmanship and customer service and plan to do what's right for our customers. If anything goes wrong, we make it right. We expect in return PAYMENT for our work and to be treated as the customer would want to be treated...fairly, honestly and professionally.

They put up with my dog!! They never once let my dog out when servicing my pool. He is large and can be very intimidating, but they still serviced my pool. Friendly people. They handled a miscommunication very well.
