TruGreen Lawn Care - 5605

We were pleased with their service up until the first fall when they performed an aeration and overseed program that runs about $250. We did not request this service and made that known to them. The best we could do with them was they offered to cut the price in half. We called and canceled our service at that point and switched to Scott's Lawn Care. We had very good success with Scott's for the first year and then this last spring we noticed that TruGreen was once again providing our lawn service. Apparently, TruGreen purchased Scott's, so we decided to give Trugreen another chance but I emailed and my wife called and we both told the customer care reps that we did not want the aerating and overseeding done. Once again, they provided the service and when we called they apologized and said that would cut the cost in half. We paid and told them not to come back again. They did come back and fertilized the yard, and my wife called someone at Trugreen and I'm not sure what she said but they haven't been back and the local manager actually called and apologized and the charge for the service disappeared. Hopefully this is the end of a very bad experience.

Signed up for the service in April, 2015. Everything seemed to be going fine until I started seeing a bunch of ragweed and other weeds that have not seen years past. I gave it a few weeks after pre emergent weed control and it got worse. I called and requested a tech be sent out. Tech came out but I noticed on my service ticket that 0oz of chemicals were sprayed. I called and asked what was performed and was told they just went out to verify but didn't spray. I then asked for a rep to come out again and spray. A few hours later I was called by the local rep to talk through my issue. Upon talking to him I learned that in Aug, 2015 that only the front was being treated and the back was no longer part of the plan. I paid the same price April through Oct and paid for aeration but Aug, Sept, Oct, and Aeration was only performed on the front. The local rep informed me he would change by sqft to make sure the back was being done but to call customer service to find out why and to get a refund. I called and requested a credit. Was told that I was owed more then $100 in credit and the local manager needs to approve that and he would call me in 3 days. 3 days came and went with no phone call. Called back and asked why I have not heard from the local rep. Was told to wait 24 hours and to call back if I had not heard back. Waited 24 hours and still no phone call. Called the following morning and asked what was going on and they assured me if I didn't get a phone call by late afternoon to call back. Well.... You guessed it I had to call back. Same response they can't give me a credit but offered half off my next service..... At that point the company lost my interest and my trust so I canceled. At no point was I even offered close to what I was owed due to only treating not even half of the yard for 3 months. Worst customer service, rude agents, and poor management on local account. The only thing I'm left with is a backyard that is getting hard to manage due to the fact that no pre emergent weed control was put down early in the spring.

They stick out behind their services, we have to have them re come out a couple of additional plant to do some re treatment and they did so without any extra charges, and they were prompt.

I wouldn't recommend them to anybody. They have destroyed our lawn; it's horrible. We've had them for several years but the past couple of years our lawn has turned brown and is very patchy. We pretty much don't have a lawn anymore. I am pretty upset with them right now. I don't think we are going to use anybody this year. They even reseeded and aerated our lawn for free and it didn't even help. I don't know what they are using. We've done everything they told us to do and I don't think their products are good. Their prices were reasonable and they always gave us good deals. They never showed up on time.
