My past experience with Puck Painting in late 2000's or so was extremely satisfactory; they painted a living room and hall way, the work was gorgeous – clean lines, excellent smooth coat. This time, in 2019, it was a different story. 1. When bidding the job Puck's agreed to buy paint at a local family-owned paint store. After I hired them, he started bad-mouthing the paint store I wished to use and bought paint elsewhere. 2. Painted a room the wrong color and then blamed us saying our instructions were not clear. 3. The very top edge of door and window trim (parallel to ceiling) was not done. Pucks told us when painting door and window trim, painting the very top edge is unheard of and no one has ever asked for that before. He said the bid would have been different if he had known we wanted that done. 4. Paint drips on wood floor, paint on electrical outlets, on the edge of the toilet tank cover, smeared primer on a window, noticeable streaks and spots on trim work, unclean lines. Paint splatter all over small bathroom sink. Broke our toilet seat. Mutual decision to end the job at this point he took off $150 of the bill.
