We added a new addition including bedrooms to our existing home and a garage with living quarters above it. As we live on a wooded lake lot we wanted to have a fair amount of outside visibility and thus added a number of new Pella windows. Originally our contractor had recommended a more local supplier but we insisted on the Pella and are extremely happy we did. Even he was sold on the decision after we put them is as there is a noticeable difference in performance between our existing windows and the new Pella windows.

The sales person was very helpful and informative. They worked with me on my time frame and when I needed the work done by. The service was fine.

The service worked out just fine. They were very professional. We had no concerns when working with them.

When we recently moved into our "new" 28 year old home, we asked Pella to check each window (3 bedrooms, 1 bath, bay window in living room, kitchen and sliding patio doors) to determine what needed to be done for optimal operation. In December, they came out and replaced worn parts, shimmied several window frames and instructed us on how to replace parts ourselves in the future. All this for only $80.00 total. The work was done quickly and professionally. A great company!

If you are ever looking for replacement windows or for new windows for your dream new home, please do not rely on Pella standing behind their products. I even went above the local offices and was treated the same way.

We had a problem with the windows rotting and it took Pella over a year and a half to rectify the issue. The quality of the products are fair to poor and the company was not responsive when the windows which were under warranty, needed replacement.

They were punctual. They did exactly what we wanted. We liked the quality of the windows. We have an older home that was built in 1929. We wanted to match the architecture of the other windows, and this was a set of three windows in our kitchen. They did an excellent job of matching it up. They were really great. They were kind of expensive because of what we needed. There were cheaper window companies, but all we could get was vinyl and these are wood. We just couldn't get what we wanted from the other ones we looked at.

I had the owner come by for an estimate for a window and door. I had some dealings with some shoddy contractors in the past and needed estimates to repair/replace the bad work done. The Pella guy showed up, seemed nice and knowledgeable enough and promised to send me estimates on what I asked for. I got the estimate a few days later. However, when I reviewed it, I noticed it didn't really say anything. There was a total dollar amount for the project (I asked for separate dollar amounts for the window and door and a breakdown of the type of window and door I'd be getting) and a description listing a window and door to be replaced. There were no specifics on the estimate. For all I knew, I was getting some kind of Pella window and some kind of Pella door (would they be Energy Star, would the door be wood, steel, true French style, would the window be a comparable side by side to my current window, etc.). So I called the owner. I explained the estimate wasn't very descriptive and I was hoping for some more detail. His response? "I can't give you more detail unless we have a signed contract". That seemed odd so I pressed him. "I provided you an estimate for the project, that is all I have to provide". Ok, but "Could you at least send me an estimate breaking down the cost of the window and the door separately?" "Sure" he said, "I'll mail it out". So I waited...and waited. A week went by. I e-mailed him to follow-up. No response. I waited another week and called him but got his assistant. The assistant suggested I leave him a message. So I did requesting he call me back. He didn't. I called the following week and I actually got him this time. I asked if he remembered me and he said he did. I requested the separate estimates again and he said no problem. What do you suppose happened next? Yep, you guessed it, nothing. I e-mailed him a week after that with a read receipt request and received a confirmation he had read it. That was a week and a half ago. The Pella guy turned out to be a big waste of time and raised a few red flags for me. Below are my best guesses as to why he never responded to my repeated requests. 1. The owner believed I wouldn't hire him and didn't want to do the work. ---Even if that were true (which it wasn't because he was the front-runner for my choice to do the work till then), he should have showed some customer service and did what he promised to do. It's just good business sense. Is a jaded potential customer more or less likely to recommend you to a friend in the future? 2. The owner was extremely forgetful/busy. --Possible but again, ignoring your potential customers is no way to run a business. I contacted him numerous times. At the least, it was poor customer service. 3. The owner is shady and not being able to turn a quick profit, decided to move on. -- I don't like to consider this option but I've had a fair amount of experience with bad contractors (the one that did the poor work in the first place on my door and window is currently incarcerated in Missouri and has a bench warrant for his arrest in Kansas for failing to obtain the proper contractor licenses. Another contractor I had do estimates on the same window and door just before the Pella guy came out never sent me his estimates. When I promised to write a bad review of his business online if I didn't get the estimates he threatened legal action for "slander". W**?! I decided to research his business and found out most of the licenses and certificates he claimed to have didn't exist). I can't find the Pella guy's business on the Secretary of State's website and he doesn't show up on the Better Business Bureau's website or anywhere else. I can't really find anything about him other than he's listed in a Google search. Bottom line, do your homework. Other than terrible customer service and a waste of my time, the guy might do good work. But the fact that he seemed to be after a quick buck, didn't describe the product in the estimate I received and doesn't appear on sites like the BBB make me wary. I'm tired of independent contractors jerking me around. If you still want to go that route, I wish you good luck but I think I'll be stickin to home depot from now on.

I was very pleased with the job. They have good products. Their service was good. I didn't have any problems with them from start to finish. The technicians showed up and cleaned after themselves.
