I would like to say that I’m truly sorry you are upset with us and I would like to get this fixed immediately. I have known you and your husband for over 10 years and hope you know that we would never “cheat” anyone. We are not the cheapest nor the most expensive company, but we charge what we need to charge to stay in business and keep delivering the highest level of service. After reviewing your account I have to say that I am unclear on a couple of things and need your help. You joined our Service Partner Plan (Preferred Customer Program) around November 20, 2009 when you had your first service with our company. This program gives you several perks and costs $8.95 a month. We came to your home again on 6-17-10 to do your annual plumbing check up and water heater flush which was a part of this plan. On 5-17-11, we came to your home to do your annual plumbing checkup and water heater flush again. At this time we found that the temperature and pressure safety relief valve had failed on the water heater. The technician gave you a price before he started the work and you agreed to have the part replaced in the amount of $143.54 which included materials, labor, and taxes. From the review, this is the service call in which you became frustrated. Then on 4-20-12, you called us to auger/clean out your kitchen drain line. The cost of that visit was $84.15. The original amount was $99 but you received 15% off for being on our Service Partner Plan. We received a cancellation letter from you cancelling the Service Partner Plan (Preferred Customer Program) on 6-25-12. Please help me understand why you hadn’t contacted me closer to the time of service so I could remedy this situation. I am confused as to why we were called again less than a year after the unsatisfactory visit to do more work. As I said before, I would like to make this right with you.

We called them on January 30th to aske for them to come out and give us a bid and we agreed they would come out on February 1st between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. At 7:45, they called and said their service man, Clayton, was on his way and he arrived promptly at 8:00. He greeted me and was very professional looking and polite. It took him 5 minutes to look over the job and give me a written bid. I was pleasantly surprised at the price. I was expecting a higher price to do the work. Then he asked me if I wanted him to complete the work and I said yes, expecting him to schedule me in at a later date. But instead, he said he would get his tools and get the job completed immediately. By 11:00, the job was done and he had cleaned up everything and hauled away the old vanity and toilet. The areas was spotlessly clean and the job was done beautifully. My husband and I are thrilled with the results. We have used Pat the Plumber before and in fact, we have a service agreement with them that includes us paying a very small monthly fee for the security of knowing we get future work done at a discount and that they come out regularly to check out our home's plumbing for any leakes or issues. I highly recommend Pat the Plumber for any plumbing needs you may have. Any Clayton, our service man for this job, again, did an amazing job, was pleasant to visit with and was very professional. Also, whenever you call Pat the Plumber, someone always answers the phone because if they busy on another line or at lunch, they have an answering service that takes a message and Pat the Plumber calls you back within an hour or so. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Also, a day before they sent out our service guy, they emailed us a picture of Clayton with a short introduction about him, including the fact that he is married and has children. A very nice touch, especially so I knew what my service man would look like. A safe feeling to know who was coming to my home. Thanks Pat for your special level of caring and customer service!

SYMPTOM: Smell in basement. SERVICE REQUESTED: Find out if house sump pump was working correctly. DIAGNOSIS: Pump working correctly; unsure where smell is coming from. PLAN: Estimate cost of covering sump pump opening. It was extravagant! PITCH: $100 Annual Plan to become 1st priority and discount if experience plumbing problems in future. Checked overall house plumbing, 'found' plugged furnace drain next to sump pump; drain reamed out, smell gone. Amazing! Hmmm...

First thing Monday morning my husband found out that our water heater was leaking. He told me to check Angie's list to see if I could find someone to replace it. After I read the reviews for Pat's Plumbing we decieded to go with them, even though some of the reviews stated that the price was high (which we do agree on). I contacted them and the guy who answered the phone said he was busy but he would call us right back, which he did (how often does that happen). From the time the empolyee got to our house to when we turned the power back on for the 'new' water heater was just about 2 1/2 hours. Can't beat that! We do however think that the price was high and we both hope that Pat's empolyees get top wages and great benifits. Thanks for a job well done and we will be using them again (even if they are a little pricey).

ONCE CLAYTON ARRIVED, IT WENT GREAT! THE LAST PLUMBER I HAD USED (THEEL PLUMBING, NEVER AGAIN) HAD JUST CUT A HOLE IN THE CEILING & LEFT A JAGGED LOOKING MESS. CLAYTON TOOK THE TIME TO REMOVE THE SCREWS WITHOUT PERMANENTLY DAMAGING THE CEILING. HE FOUND THE "LEAK" WAS THE PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE FROM THE HOT WATER HEATER UPSTAIRS, WHICH HAD STUCK OPEN. HE REPLACED THE VALVE & REPLACED THE SCREWS. LEAK FIXED, CEILING BACK TO NORMAL UPON HIS ARRIVAL & FAIR PRICE. THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS ARRIVAL. I HAD CALLED ON A THURS. THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE HERE ON FRI @ 4 PM. I ARRANGED MY SCHEDULE TO BE HERE @ THAT TIME. THEY CALLED @ NOON TO SAY THE JOB THEY WERE ON WAS TAKING LONGER THEN EXPECTED & WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT TILL MON, WHICH DID NOT WORK FOR ME. WE SET UP TUES @ 0800. CLAYTON PULLED IN RIGHT ON TIME.

Mark did what he said he needed to do and he did it in a very timely manner. I have no complaints.
Description of Work: When my sump pump went out I called Pat the Plumber to replace it. When Mark Silvia (the plumber} looked at the way the sump pump was draining he advised me to have it plumbed correctly. I took his advise and he did a great job. Now I don't have to worry about being told by an inspector that the sump pumb is hooked up illegaly when the time comes to put my house on the market. Mark is just the best and I will always recommend Pat the Plumber.

My husband was glad when he called Pat the Plumber to have a real person answer the phone and respond within the same day to our problem. The plumber was very professional and knowledgeable both times. Our problems were taken care of and we were pleased. The only downside is that this plumbing service seems a little pricey. However, we are willing to pay for quick service that is done right.
Description of Work: We have used Pat the Plumber twice and have had pleasant experiences both times. The first time we had a leaky toilet that had damaged the ceiling below the toilet. The plumber quickly determined what was causing the leak and realized that the toilet had been improperly installed. He installed the toilet properly and the toilet has had no more leaks. The next time our toilet was running constantly, making loud whining noises, and we couldn't figure out what to do. The plumber replaced a cartridge and worked a long time making sure that the toilet no longer leaked.

From start to finish, the Pat the Plumber company was professional and friendly. When I answered the door, the serviceman had his own mat in front of the door and his boot covers already on. He determined that the problem I was having was inside my faucet, which he couldn't access. He then made the call to the manufacturer on my behalf and arranged for a warranty replacement faucet to be sent to my residence. He also fixed my other problem (leaking outside faucet) in under a minute.
Description of Work: A serviceman came the same day that I called for an appointment within the time frame I was told. The main office called to let me know when their serviceman would arrive and included a picture of him in their confirmation email. The serviceman was very friendly and helpful and very quickly assessed my exact problems and got them taken care of. I will definitely call Pat the Plumber next time I have plumbing problems.

We purchased a new fridge with an ice maker and our house had never had a water line installed. We asked them to come out and give us an estimate for installing the line. While here, he gave us an estimate and said he had the time to immediately install the water line and hook it up. After discussing with me, I told my husband to go ahead and have them complete the work. (The price seemed fair and they have had very good reviews on Angie's.) We were very happy with the work and it has been almost a year and we have had no problems with the line. We were very happy with the vendor and would use them again for a plumbing issue. The only reason I rated a "B" for punctuality was because they were late for the scheduled appointment, but it was due to them taking care of an emergency for another client. I had no problem with that and it did not inconvenience my husband, who was waiting at home. I'm sorry it has taken so long to post this review; just procrastination on my part. We were very happy with our experience.

Things started out well as the employee came out and provided an estimate of services. Their price was high, but I decided to go with them anyway with the hopes of getting quality service and products. I spoke with Pat and he figured out I was eligible for an employee discount in addition to a cash payment discount. I scheduled a couple of days later and the employee was late for the installation. I was told there was an error in scheduling due to the person scheduled was not working that day and I was also told they did not have an additional toilet in stock. I was informed they would have it in a few days. We had to schedule another date for the second toilet which meant another request for time off from work. The employee arrived on time for the second installation and everything went well. While there were some inconveniences along the way, I am happy with the products so far.

Member, I do want to apologize that your service wasn't exceptional. We did have a hiccup with the supplier confirming all of our materials were there then when we went to pick it up the order was incomplete. I hope that you are extremely happy with your new toilets. If you aren't 100% happy still please call my office and ask for me personally. Thank you for your business member.

Everything went extremely well. It was all done in one day. They man who ran the back hoe was careful and took care of some things just the way we wanted. Same with the plumber. Instead of going straight into the house from the meter, which would have meant removing our sidewalk from the house to the street and tunneling under the front porch, we had them go diagonally across the lawn and come into the house from the side. They did a good job at a fair price. We were quite pleased.
Description of Work: The water line from the meter to our house failed. It was an old galvanized pipe; probably the original, predating WWII. They replaced it, plus some pipe in the basement.

See the story above. I am extremely impressed with their service and professionalism. I wish I could say the same for our electrician.
Description of Work: We are remodeling a 1976 townhouse, complete kitchen, half bath and adding shower. I met Pat at the Home Show, and explained this would be a small budget project. He was very helpful and wanted to work with us. Clayton is our assigned plumber. First, the promptness and punctuality is amazing. Kylie schedules the work, then will call to remind us, call that he is on his way (or delayed with an updated arrival time) and calls later to see if he arrived in time and we are happy with the punctuality. Clayton comes and gets right to work. He works quickly, quietly and is very professional and polite. He will take time to answer questions, help with problem-solving and explain exactly what he's done. I am always shocked by how much it costs to repair and replace homes, so I marked a B for costs. Pat the Plumber probably costs the same as everyone else. I don't know. The quality of the work, professionalism, and punctuality is stellar. I'm a detail person, will always work around a sick child or emergency. But just call and let me know! Pat's people always keep me posted. One night I called to leave a message for Clayton. Why call then? Because that's when I thought of it. The answering service (24hr) took the call, I explained it wasn't an emergency, I just wanted to leave a msg for Clayton. Within 5 minutes, Pat called back. They are VERY punctual and prompt. What Pat and his people say: They Do! To date, Clayton has replaced outside faucets and faulty water lines in the basement, replumbed a toilet, bath vanity, added a sink, installed an Onyx shower surround, moved water supply lines for refrigerator and kitchen sink, added water supply and shut off for pot filler over the stove, moved vent for kitchen sink. Oh and he found the water leak in the bathtub surround that the building inspector missed; it was leading and had rotted out the flooring. He will be out in October to set our dishwasher, kitchen sink, and garbage disposal. Next year we'll remodel the other bath. I showed Clayton my remodel plans and he assured me that they will handle any changes. "It will be easy!" I loved heraing that. Pat's the only plumbing company I will consider.

They have a beautiful website and I wrote them that I found them on Angie's List and that I reported to Angie's List. I told them I was interested in them doing this non-emergency job. It has now been three weeks and not one email or call from my email on their website. I do not understand how businesses spend hundreds of dollars on a website and then don't answer their email, which is direct from their website. This may be a fine company, but don't correspond with them from their website and expect an answer. UPDATE: 8/25/10 I received Pat The Plumber's letter as his response said. I decided to use the web-mail as he said the problem was corrected. He was right, as I received a call from him within a half hour of my mail. He was very apologetic and thanked me for reporting the problem. He gave me a gift certificate so I decided to have them do the minor job. They were punctual and the tech was well versed in the plumbing. In fact he fixed another small item without charge. There is no question in my mind that Pat wants customer satisfaction and has fixed the problem with his web-mail requests. I highly recommend them for your plumbing jobs.
Description of Work: This company was highly rated on Angie's List. I went to their website and via it sent a request for them to contact me about a simple job in my bathroom. It was mainly to secure the toilet to the floor.

Response from Pat Plumbing, Heating and Air
I am truly sorry that you have tried to contact us via our website and no one has responded. I have contacted our web developer, IT servicer, and our website hosting company to see why the message hasn’t come thru. The website is set up to contact our dispatcher immediately and send a copy of the message to my email and also my smartphone so I have immediate notification of any messages. I have tried to look up your contact information online and in the phone book so I can speak to your personally and apologize. I have not been able to locate a phone number for you so I will send a written apology to you in the mail and also a gift certificate to use in the future if you would like to try us again. Also I will send my mobile phone number and direct email so you can contact me anytime with an issue. Again I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. -Patrick Grogan
