Orkin Pest Control

Great service. No issues leaving key for technician and no worries about her being in my home while we are at work. She is a pleasure to talk to when I do get to see her and I trust her implicitly.

I signed a contract to have Orkin service my house. The contract stated that I had five days to cancel and get a full refund. Because it was close to the New Year's holidays, the service technician said I had until the 5th of January to cancel the contract and get a full refund. He crossed out the original cancellation date and signed his name to give me an extended date to cancel. I explained to the service technician that there were mice in my house and I needed help to get rid of them. I explained that I had already tried glue traps and bait for over a month but the mice were in walls and didn't feed on the bait and traps. The technician laid glue traps and bait boxes anyway. I left for the New Year's holiday and came home. Another pest control company that I called before the holidays returned my phone. In the process of talking the technician at this company said that because the mice were in the walls, outside bait and glue boards were not the best solution. I then called Orkin back and relayed this information. Orkin did not come out to try alternative methods of exterminating the mice. As a result, I took my cancellation notice to Orkin and cancelled the contract within the time the technician said I had. Orkin cancelled the contract, however, Orkin would not give me a refund. The receptionist was very rude and said that the manager was not in each time I called. When the manager finally called me, he refused to give me a refund and said that technicians did not have the authority to extend contracts.
