EZ-PC Inc

My external hard drive started coming up with errors so I took it to Ez PC in Topeka, KS. I called them before driving the hour to get there and they said it would cost $30. When I get there they charge me $69. About a week later they call and tell me that it is ready to pick up but that they can't get any information off of it. I made a few trips to the store while running other errands but they always seemed closed, I assumed due to the holidays. I finally called to find out when they will be open and the notify me that they had thrown away my external hard drive. When I became really upset they said, "Well if other people have looked at it and we also can't get information off of it then it wasn't going to work." I never got the chance to let any one else look at it. When I told the man this he just replied with, "Well it's gone so there is nothing you or I can do. But if you need us in the future be sure to come on in and we will take care it it." They never told me they were going to throw it away. This all happened in less than 30 days. And I certainly will never, never use them again. Now I am out $70 for them to not fix it and an external hard drive that could have been restored that had 5 years worth of pictures, music, and data. All of my college assignments were on there along with study abroad pictures that I can never get back now.
