+ -1 moreI would not recommend this company to find a leak in a roof or repair it.
Description of Work: My insurance man referred me to them..,I had a bad leak in an exterior walkin my kitchen, I didn't know I had until moving some things. Attached to that wall is an enclosed porch with a flat rubber roof. They assessed the leak from inside and decided to replace metal around the perimeter of the porch. Charged $460. That was in June. When everything was taken down from wall I saw how much the leak was progressing. Called them back. The compNy who had put up new siding met dovetail and said I think the leak is coming from the roof up above. So they repaired the leak. They did not charge me anymore. But I'm not sure why it took the siding company to figure out where it was leaking . A guy came out several days later on went on top the rubber roof and turned on a sprinkler and came inside and said the area was not wet?? No moisture meter. When he left he took my new 75 foot hose with him..I had not given permission to use my hose. I have called 3 times asking for my hose, no response.

Description of Work: Dovetail Roofing provided a free estimate. Their bid was comparable to the others. I did not talked to them in person. There bid was mailed to me and if I did not have some special issues I needed dealt with, I would probably had gone with them as their bid was the lowest with comparable material. My roof is basic so normally their bid would have worked.

+ -1 moreThe crew did a great job! It took them about 2-1/2 days to complete. They cleaned up the yard and swept (with magnet) every evening before leaving. In the past 2-1/2 years we've found only one roofing nail in a flower bed, so they were very thorough with their clean-up. This was important to us since we have small children. During their work, one of the crew accidentally dropped a heavy piece of machinery from the roof and it hit the railing on our back porch, leaving a huge gouge and exposing some raw wood. The owner came within the next two days and repaired the wood, primed the spot (his own materials), and used our exterior paint to finish it up -- all at his own expense. He left the railing looking better than it had before the damage. We were extremely impressed with their quick response and ready acceptance of their responsibility. They were very apologetic, even though we were not upset. We will use this company again whenever we need their services.
Description of Work: completely replaced roof on our 2-story Queen Anne home (very steep with lots of gables & surfaces) and on a 15x15 carport; replaced roof with 50-year impact-resistant shingles

Dovetail returned our calls, got someone out to give us an estimate right away, and promptly scheduled us for within a week or two. The roof is still up there and not leaking after several storms, so we're happy with the product.

Description of Work: We hired Dovetail Roofing to replace a 4 month old roof that had been roofed by another roofer that had been shinged with defective shingels and there workmanship was very poor. I might add that the rest of the cost to replace our roof was paid by the shingel company, My husband and I are very pleased with our new roof and with the workmanship by Dovetail Roofing, They gave us a quality roof and were very careful with our property, They knew what they were doing and they cared that they gave us an excellant job . The job ran smoothly without any problems. Our neighbors commented how clean they kept our yard while they took off the previous roof. We would highly recommend Dovetail Roofing.

+ -1 moreThey were wonderful to work with. All the crew was very polite and neatly dressed. They had my roof off and on in one day. They completely cleaned up my yard and I did not find one roofing nail anywhere! I am a very picky individual when it comes to service and quality and they satisfied me with the work they did and I must say that is hard to do. I just cannot say enough how polite they are and willing to make the customer happy. They really care and know what they are doing! They are so patient and will make suggestions on colors if you are wanting a color change on your shingles. Please include them in your bids for work. You won't be sorry!
