+ -1 morePositively dreadful. The son arrived looking as though he did not want to be there. He spent more time telling us what he could not do, we had some questions regarding other jobs we were considering getting done. He did not do all the jobs that we called him for as aforementioned. we were charged 300 dollars for those four jobs. I called the office to speak with his dad, the proprietor, not expecting him to side with me against his son, but expected at least professionalism in response to my query of the bill, well he put his son on the other line and they verbally tag-teamed me in a most nasty manner, when I mentioned the unfairness of behavior, the father snorted out "get somebody else" and HUNG up on me! As an African American woman I am not unfamiliar with racism. The callous sound in Mr. Cooper's voice left me shocked and bereft of any trust in dealing with companies with out a friend or neighbors reference. I truly thought we were beyond this type of bigotry.
Description of Work: Shower head needed to be replaced and we had three inside leaks and one outside. In his opinion the outside faucet did not need repair because it only leaked when turn on , how absurd! Subsequently, we Hired a wonderful company who did a fantastic job.

+ -1 moreThe scheduler was very friendly and accommodating and was able to send a plumber out within an hour of my call. He manner was also friendly, and his work was carefully done.
Description of Work: Provider replaced the water supply valve to one toilet and put a repair kit in one Delta kitchen faucet. Due to the age of the existing water supply valve, it would not unscrew and had to be cut off of the supply line and a replacement valve using a compression fitting installed in its place.

+ -1 moreWe called Coopers as we were experiencing problems with our water heater. We expressed out concerns during the phone conversation and the Coopers folks were quick to send out a technician. It was discovered that due to pressure surges, serious damage had been done to our water heater. Since we have a gas heater, we were very lucky to that an explosion had not occured. WIthin a couple of hours, 2 technicians from Coopers installed a new water heater (my preferred brand) and a surge protector to prevent the surge problems from resulting in future problems. The work was done well, quickly and although they had to carry both heaters down a flight of stairs, extra care was taken not to do any damage to our home's interior. Polite and professional.

+ -1 moreIt was around 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon when I called Cooper's. A plumber from Cooper's called me back almost immediately and said he could be at our church in about 15 minutes. When he arrived, he was very professional. He assessed the problem and had the problem fixed in about 10 minutes. Problem solved! We couldn't have designed better service. We will definitely call on Cooper's again for any plumbing need. We have parishoners call asking for referrals for plumbers at times. We will recommend Coopers to them as well.
Description of Work: We had a water linking from the pipe leading into a toilet in our men's room. There was water all over the bathroom floor and it had leaked under the door onto the carpet in the hallway.

+ -1 moreThe service man was friendly and appeared to know his business. He answered any questions asked. The price he charged was reasonable and the unit has worked better since his service than it has in the six years since we bought it. It was serviced by another company about three years ago but afterwards did not work as good as it does now. We are pleased with this companies service.
Description of Work: I called for service because the fan in the outside unit of our heat pump system stopped running. The service man checked the fan which had started again by its self and could find nothing wrong with it, a mystery. He checked several other components also and added some refrigerant which he said was a little low. He also looked at the inside unit and said it appeared OK.

Description of Work: Called at 11:00 AM to try to get someone out to look at a garbage disposal. Tech arrived at 12:30pm, removed the old disposer and found and removed a rock that was jammed in the unit. We were already to instll a new unit when the tech found the rock, so he saved me the cost of a new unit.

+ 0 moreCooper's is an easy company to work with. I called the office and described the issue, the receptionist coordinated a time for the technicians to visit. They were on time, polite, and went right to work. They replaced the flame sensor, cleaned up the furnace area and went on their way.
Description of Work: Troubleshoot an intermittent furnace, sometimes the burner didn't come on. They were there approximately 35 minutes and replaced the flame sensor.

+ -1 moreOverall, the experience was good. LeRoy, the plumber, gave me a credible estimate. Although he was late for the job, he called ahead, which was acceptable to me. He installed everything professionally and left the bathroom looking good. My only complaint is that they charged for an additional half-hour of labor that was not performed. But I would recommend them to others.

+ 0 moreMy overall experience with Cooper's Inc has always been excellent. All the parameters that you establish for excellent customer service are met when you use this company.
Description of Work: I have used the services of Cooper's Inc for many years. They have done basic plumbing service, including the installation of new faucets in two of my bathrooms. They have also serviced yearly my AC and furnance. Finally, the time came to replace my faithful cooling and heating system. Gregg Cooper gave me an estimate and we developed a plan. I first had the AC installed at the beginning of the 2011 summer. It was such a relief to know I had a new system that would not only keep my house cool, but would conserve the energy needed to operate the system. This October, we finished the project with the installation of a new furnance and all that goes along with that. I also, decided a new hot water heater was needed. Then, I received a bonus. I had not had adequate water pressure from my kitchen faucet for a very long time. (this was not installed by Cooper's). Gregg"s words to me as he checked this were, "this is just not right". I came home from work last week and guess what? I now have a powerful water flow out of my faucet. Now filling the pasta pot will not take 10 minutes. Thank you Gregg!! I trust Cooper's Inc. I know I will receive the product and service I need.

+ 0 moreI am always able to call and speak to someone within an hour if it is an emergency. Otherwise, my calls are returned the next day. I am able to leave a phone number for the tenant and Cooper's schedules the appointment with the tenant. Now that I/we have retired that is not as important as it has been in the past; but it was certainly nice not to have to take off from work or do the entire "phone tag" bit trying to set up the repair. We first used Cooper's when we built our own house and have used them exclusively at our rentals since then - from 1992 until present - and will continue to do so.
Description of Work: Cooper's checked AC operations at a rental property. Everything was done in a timely and professional manner from the onset. All work is well done at a reasonable price. We have also used this company for plumbing as well. I/we would highly recommend Cooper's to anyone in the Topeka, KS area.
