+ 0 moreI have used Blazin Blades for several years and they are simple wonderful. They call if the regular schedule won't work (maybe it is too wet) and they care about doing a good job. They mow my yard and the yards of two of my neighbors. I recommend them highly!
Description of Work: Alan and Wendy mow my (rather large) lawn on a regular basis. In the past they also edged it with a weed eater, blew the clippings off the drive and walks, and in the Fall they pick up the leaves from three huge pin oak trees. Alan has also helped me get bulk mulch from the local forestry dump. He will do almost anything he can to be helpful.

+ -1 moreGreat! They promised to pick up leaves early in the week and they followed through. They gave an estimate that was right on. They were wonderful.
Description of Work: Wow...this couple was awesome. I love to use local small businesses anyway and so I tried them and they were wonderful. I just moved into a new house and used them to pick up my leaves. They did an awesome job. I'll most likely use them to mow my lawn on a regular basis as well.

+ -1 moreBecause of mutual time conflicts it took a while to hook up to go over the job specifications and bidding process. The couple were creative and helpful in planning and getting the job done over a period of time. . Not many Topekans were using Angie's List but they should and these folks should get more work. They did a great job. If we hadn't moved they would be getting regular calls from us.
Description of Work: Cleared out brush, vines around all four sides of the home. Trimmed trees, took away the material, mowed and trimmed the lawns, cleared part of old neglected garden plus power washed the house.

+ 1 moreThe company is owned by a husband and wife team who share the work. They have high quality equipment and provide a high quality service. They measured my yard and gave me a price that they would charge each time they mowed. The first few times they mowed I almost could not believe how hard they worked to do a good job. I finally told them to skip some of the services(no need to string trim each time). They provide an invoice about once a month and I pay from the invoice. This fall they will come before Thanksgiving and the first week of December to pick up the leaves($10 extra)and take them away. This is great since I have several large trees that drop billions of leaves.
Description of Work: Blazin Blades mowed my yard(and the yards of two of my neighbors)during the summer of 2008. They have been exceptionally polite, responsive and prompt-almost to a fault. They have been willing to accommodate my wishes(set the mower high, don't mow during summer drought periods)and schedule. They always call if they can't mow on the schedule(because of recent rains, for example). At each mowing, they use a string trimmer and blower to make the yard look well tended. Besides mowing, they will also pick up leaves and do some tree trimming for additional charge.
