A-1 Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical

I had been a loyal & satisfied customer of A-1 for more than 20 years, because I used the same technician, who I trusted. He recently retired, and I got a new technician for my recent A/C tune-up. He took a part off my A/C and tried to sell me a replacement part off his truck. My old technician NEVER did that in 20 years. The new technician also would not give me a comment card which my old technician always did. Don't trust these folks.

The repairs done to my rental home on Garfield were good. However, this is the second time that the A-1 plumbers did not clean up debris after completing the job. This time there was stuff left in my sink and all over the bathroom floor. They must not have a portable vacuum or were late to another job. Maybe since my leasing agent was paying them, they didn't care about the renter. I had to clean up the mess after a hard day working at Menards and wasn't happy.

Outstanding. The team arrived on time said job would take around one hour and they were very close. Very professional team. If you need something done in a quick professional manner call A-1.

Friendly and quick to get onsite after I called. Fixed the problem and knocked some $$ off of the original quoted price due to the ease of the job in relation to expectations. Still not sure I got a great deal on the cleaning portion, but AC is fixed nonetheless. I would recommend them and will use again, much cheaper than Blue Dot.

The job went great. It wasn't a simple replacement because I had them replace two separate systems with one combined system. It took three men all day but they got it done and it turned out great.

They were excellent. They had a list of prices for parts. I knew excellent what I would be paying. They were very professional and timely. They cleaned up after themselves.

He completed the diagnosis and cleaning and was gone within 15 minutes, $69.00 no extra monkey business. Could have been a very cold New Years Eve. Thanks for your prompt response. I will definitely recommend A-1 to family and friends.

Great. they were efficient and friendly. I appreciate that they take time to put booties on their shoes before coming into the house. Still can't use the ice maker, but that's a problem in the fridge, not the water supply.

The tech was on time, extremely professional. I am very very very pleased with the service provided by A-1. This is the second time I have had them out to my house to take care of things. I have nothing bad to say about the service provided. A-1 has made a life long customer out of me! I highly recommend this business!

The tech showed up as soon as he could, they have a book with all the prices so at least you know they are not making up the price. I think the mark up on the AC parts is high, but we needed it so nothing we could negotiate on since I have 3 young kids in the house and it was one of the hottest days. But the Tech was great, explained everything, answered all my questions and I was surprised because I mentioned that the unit looked old and maybe should be replaced, and he said that it was in good condition and he wouldn't recommend changing it, as long as it is not struggling.

Very professional and punctual. They went above and beyond what was expected, such as securing a loose gas pipe and cleaning up after themselves. These individuals were very proud of the company they worked for, which easily showed in their work they completed. They also guarantee all their work.

For my son they put in a unit that was too small, so it did not work at all. For me, they charged a ridiculous amount, just to move my water tank.

They had also done my central air about 3 yrs ago, so I went with them again. Got a discount because of this. One of the men went thru a rotton step on my porch but they fixed this with new boards. Said there was no charge for this. Very pleased.

However, it had an 18 month warranty on the disposal and it started leaking 30 months after install. Seems to me that a disposal should last longer than 30 months, always in the past mine have. That said, prices were fair and they were prompt so I would use them again and watch what I buy in the future more.

Arrived on time. Courteous, friendly. Showed company ID. Explained what needed to be done and then returned a few days later with the correct part and installed it properly. No further problems with the hot water heater. I've used several other companies performing similar services in the Topeka area, and A-1 is far and away the best in my opinion. They are pleasant, efficient, and competent.

Fan on 12 year old furnace (installed by A1) finally went out and of course it was a Saturday night in weather well below freezing. Call produced immediate call back and response set up to get a tech out from home. Immediately was able to diagnose problem, provide a cost of repair (with an option to try and make it through without replacing if I wanted), and when we decided to go with it had the part and was able to fix it and have us up and running within 30 minutes. Temp in house had only dropped into the 40's by the time fix was done. We have had dealings with A1 for a number of years and I can't say I have ever been disappointed. Price is competitive from what I've found. Techs are professional but friendly and clean up after themselves very well. They try and be as unobtrusive as possible. They not only installed the heating and air but have maintained it so this was the only repair I have had to pay for (other than yearly checkups) since we had it installed. They have also done some plumbing and electrical work for us in the past which we have been happy with.

Service was provided very soon after we signed with A-1. It took most of one day but the installers were very friendly and worked steadily until done. Everything was clean before they left. At an earlier time, we had A-1 fix a shower drain, and that was done quickly and well. The employees and owners are very proud of their company and do a great job of maintaining its reputation.

A-1 gave us an estimate. When we selected them to do the work, they scheduled our service immediately. They arrived on time and were professional and courteous. They removed our old furnace and air conditioner and installed the new ones. They were careful and did no damage to our walls, carpeting, doorways, or yard. The cleaned up after themselves. They charged our A/C, but told us they would return when the weather was warm to make sure there was sufficient charge. They followed up by phone and through the mail to ensure we were satisfied with their services and with our new equipment. This Spring, they made an appointment and checked the charge on our A/C when the weather was over 70 degrees. We have been happy with the efficiency of our furnace, and we were impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of the A-1 technicians and administrators.

My wife called at work at about 1:30 pm and told me the furnace was not working. I didn't want to call a technician until I had an opportunity to check some things out first. Trying to save a little money. I couldn't resolve the issue or identify the problem and it was getting late afternoon. We called a couple of companies to try and get them out to look at the problem and fix it, one didn't call back until later that evening and the other said they couldn't take care of that day unless I wanted to pay for afterhours service charge, we said no. So we call A-1 Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling and Electrical. The receptionist called around to find an available technician who could stop by and check it out for us. Within about 15 minutes after finding the technician he showed up at our door. He quickly found the problem which was the inducer, called a supplier who didn't think he had one on hand but thought he could get it by the next day. So the A-1 technician worked on the old inducer and got it to work temporarily, but warned that there a good chance it would go out again and it would be best to replace it when one came in. I agreed. Then the supplier called the technician back and said he did have one but said he was only open for another fifteen. The A-1 technician called another employee he thought was closer to pick it up. He was able to fix the problem that day and while waiting for the part to get to our house he performed a basic service on the heater and didn't charge extra. The technician even explained how to read the error codes so I could have a better understanding the next time we have a problem. Even though the part was quite expensive we had heat that night. The Technician was very professional. I would use them again and recommend them to others. Very happy with their service.

As stated in my description of the services performed, A-1 did an excellent job. They were responsive, prompt, courteous, professional, and competent. We were impressed with their company from service call to estimate, to installation, to follow-up to ensure our satisfaction. We would not hesitate to recommend them, and we are considering them for a bathroom remodel as well.

It was great. They are excellent. They fix things that other people wouldn't do for me.

They completed the work within a week, were punctual, professional and answered all our questions. We would recommend this company to anyone.

We have used their services for several years. The cost went up this year because the cost has recently doubles. They are very friendly and nice. I feel that he is honest too.
