Jeff Dunaway of Custom Concrete Worx was recommended to us by Matt Wichert Construction to redo/enlarge our patio prior to having a new deck built. We weren't sure what direction to go with redoing our existing patio, so we met with Jeff to discuss options and pricing. He was very helpful with providing color options, various overlay patterns, and provided photos of previous jobs for us to view to help make our choices. When we finally decided on a layout, it included enlarging the existing patio area, adding an overlay to the old section, and adding a stamped design for the entire patio surface. We provided Jeff with our design and he created an estimate for the work that we thought was fair and reasonable. Unfortunately the spring rains delayed the start of our project for weeks, but Jeff continued to check in with us weekly until he was finally able to start work. Midway through the job, we decided to also pour a concrete slab for a new larger storage shed, and Jeff was able to add that our project. He and his crew completed the new patio faster than we expected, and he added in a bit of extra overlay and design work on the concrete retaining walls around our walk-out basement at no additional charge. We are delighted with the finished patio! It was a bit of a risk, adding new concrete to an existing slab and then trying to match colors for the overlay on the old section so that it would all look the same, and he told us ahead of time there could be a slight color difference, but Jeff did a superb job of making it both the old and new sections nearly identical. We also had two 5'x8' Rubbermaid storage sheds on the old patio which he hauled to the front of the house for us, so that we didn't have to pay movers to do the work. He also moved one of them across town to our daughter's house, and for doing that we offered him the other one as payment which worked out for both of us, but I think we got the better end of the deal considering what it would have cost to move them ourselves.
Description of Work: Overlay and stamp old patio section, enlarge patio area and stamp new concrete, seal all.
