We hired quality hardwood flooring after our chandelier came crashing down, it damaged our floor and railing. I’ve had few other contractors come out but decided to go with Quality hardwood flooring. Best decision I’ve made this year! They did a phenomenal job & I’m so happy with their service. Ralph, Steve and Jeff were all so nice and informative. They came on time from start to finish. (I have a 2yr old who loves to ask questions and be part of the “fun” they were all so sweet to her). I Would highly recommend them. Extremely high integrity guys and they’ll do a great job & go above and beyond expectation. We stayed at Great wolf lodge during the process of getting our floors done. Ralph stayed in touch with me every morning via text, so I knew what the scheduled plan was for the day!! Very impressed with the quality of work and their professionalism. And would use them over and over again. Also, they’ve cleaned up and dusted when they were done!! Wish I could get that kind of service every time. Our neighbor loves our floor and is calling Ralph to do their floors! Don’t hesitate to call them! P.S. the other contractor were quoting 2x as much!

Excellent job! Fine craftsmanship, friendly, experienced crew. They transformed old, stained hardwood into a beautiful floor. The area that was replaced is indistinguishable from the rest of the floor, it blends perfectly. Quality Hardwoods is appropriately named. The owner, Ralph Miller, estimated the job himself and gave us a written bid on the spot. His price was very reasonable. We were most impressed with his company's work ethic. Ralph started and finished the job on the designated dates; his crews worked all day long; cleaned as they went; minimized the dust and impact to the rest of our home and most importantly matched the stain to the existing hardwood floor perfectly. Admittedly, I am a bit of a perfectionist and Quality Hardwoods lived up to its company's name. Thanks Ralph.

It was a major project but Ralph and his team did an amazing job. Ralph and his crew put plastic covers all around the house, to protect our furniture, cabinets, appliances, and upstairs. However the dust was overwhelming and still found its way everywhere. Ralph also acknowledged the dust to be more than he expected, so he called professional cleaners to thoroughly clean my entire house. Ralph also sent a professional painter to retouch my foux painting on my columns which had chips from the tile debris. Quality hardwood and his team did a marvelous job and left no stone unturned. I am very satisfied with their work and professionalism. I love my new hardwood floor.

Excellent--Ralph and crew made floors look like a new installation in a short time. Painter had made a real mess of the floors. Boards had shrunk and some holes had been made for various tv cable. Applied base shoe, lowered some trim, filled and sanded holes, touched up paint. Responded to all calls in short time, punctual, neat and left in-detectible dust. Crew was respectful, appropriately dressed in company shirts, and acted professionally. I am very happy with Quality Hardwood, Ralph and crew.

We bought a foreclosure that had golden oak floors in eht entry way and kitchen downstairs. Ralph was referred to us by our realtors to re-finish the floors and have them stained a dark walnut. His price for the re-finish was very reasonable. once we closed on the house, we decided to have Ralph put wood floors throughout the entire first floor. His team pulled up the existing carpet and added 3 rooms of flooring to complete the entire downstairs. The best part was that they laced in the new flooring so there are no seams whatsoever. Ralph's team was extrememly courteous, prompt and very clean. This was the best decision we evera made using Ralph and his team. We are now considering to have him come back in and do the stairs and upstairs landing area. You will love the work that Ralph does so do not hesitate to call him. He is the best!

The work was excellent and the service even better. The timeline of the work went exactly as Ralph outlined to us before the job started despite some unforeseen extra work in removing the existing floor coverings . I would recommend this company without reservation.

Ralph had done previous finish and install work for us so when we need to have some repairs done, he was the call we made. Learned later that he had split from his partner of many years, however that did not concern me. The job was to fill in an area where existing cabinets had been removed and finish to match as best as could be done. We were not planning to refinish the entire area at this time as we were considering a kitchen remodel which would require redoing the floors once complete. We were told it would not be “perfect,” and understood this, but it in reality the intent that Ralph had was to “rough” it in assuming he would get the complete refinish job later. Apparently he had bid the repair job with very little profit in it for him, so he needed to get it done as quickly as possible. I was not aware of this and through that the price charged was reasonable for the amount of materials needed and time required. Upon seeing the complete job, we were quite upset with how it had come out. It was very obvious where the stain had been done, the floor area had dips in it from being sanded too long, only one coat of polyurethane was planned to be applied thus leaving the area very rough, the amount of dust that was produced over the small sanding job was all over the lower part of our home and there were piles of sawdust in the area and in the garage requiring a large amount to time to clean up. In the end, Ralph did come back and repair the area such that it does look better, however the low spots are still there and are not correctable until the entire floor is redone. He consulted with his attorney about our issue which seemed somewhat extreme. He offered to give us our money back in return for not posting any type of reviews online. We refused this offer. What was most disconcerting in the end was he had given us a referral to a cabinet maker which we had ultimately agreed to have do some work for us. He apparently told this person that we were unhappy with the work he did, and the cabinet maker declined our job, returning our deposit and refusing to contact us about discussing the issue in more detail. Needless to say, given our experience we will not be having him back when we need to have the floors redone.

He seemed to be a great guy but I didn't use him as a contractor. It looks very good and everything like that. It was a reasonable price. I've used someone before and there are things that Ralph could do and not do and the other guy could do. I think he did an A job. He's a very nice guy and it looked like he could do a nice job. I would use him for a quote.

I want to express how pleased I am with the work that Ralph and his team performed in my house. I recently purchased a home that is over 100 years old and had varying flooring situations. The floor on the main level was worn and beaten likely because of a previously-applied water-based finish, the spiral staircase and nook area hardwood was in marginally good condition, the master bedroom upstairs had carpet over some very old hardwood with a spattering of paint and a massive water stain, and the closet upstairs didn't have hardwood at all. Ralph came in and gave one of the most honest and unbiased estimates on what needed to be done to each and every room to bring the house together; no BS and he has extremely competitive prices. He'll give you quotes for a full sanding with several coats of stain or quotes for just a screen and finish--and he won't try to sell you something you don't need or want. He'll be direct about what the floor will look like with each treatment, and give insight on how to leverage that with the stain and finish you choose for a seamless look. When it came down to the work time, his team was punctual, courteous, insightful, and careful with the property. He gave me a date that he guaranteed the work to be done, and he made sure it was--even if it meant coming in on the weekend. He was a fantastic communicator (phone/text) and timely with checking in. After all of the sanding, crack filling, new hardwood install on the closet, and finishing, the floors look amazing. The outcome truly brought new life into an old home.

Ralph initially came out and conducted and estimate. His estimate was the best of the three I had received and therefore I contracted for his services. He personally came out with his two employee's and sanded our floors down reveiling the beautiful oak wood. He also repaired several areas and thresholds that needed attention as well as installed a 6-inch by 8-foot custom cold air return floor vent. He applied a beautiful stain and three coats of finish that made our floors look brand new. A truly unbelievable change and from ugly duckling floors to a swan. Ralph is professional, prompt, and a true tradesman at his craft. I highly recommend him to anyone and will be using him in the future to install oak stairs once we are ready.

Ralph recently installed and finished new hardwood floors in our dining room and den/office. The rooms abut an entryway that we were having re-tiled. Ralph worked within our schedule and with the other contractor, installing the unfinished hardwood and then waiting almost 2 weeks for the tile work to be completed before finishing the floor. He is a great communicator and was always there when he said he would be. There were no surprises as he let us know step-by-step what would be done and how long each step would take—something we appreciated and did not experience with other contractors. There were also no surprises with the stain color as he demoed color options for our selection. He and his crew are congenial, work hard, and clean up each day. When snowstorms delayed some of our other work, Ralph was flexible and was able to meet our schedule, even working on the weekend to accomplish what we needed. We thought the price was very reasonable and we paid the exact amount that was estimated. He was reasonable, conscientious, courteous and professional. We were pleased with their work and would recommend this company. Our floors are beautiful!
