Description of Work: They provided dry out service after water damage as requested by our Insurance company. They delayed several days after looking at the damage. they did tear our tiles, some wood flooring, lifted carpet and provided fans and dehumifiers to dry out after about 3 to 4 day delay. | |They provided quote to restore house back to original condition but kept putting us off on when they could begin and when we could expect them to finish. In the meantime we received quotes from another company that was considerably less by almost 40%.. They started immediately and have finished. The work of the second company was excellent and the floors have never looked so good. | |Phoenix specializes in working with insurance companies and seem to over charge on all services based on our experience. May be the reason that insurance premiums are always increasing.

Description of Work: Water damage restoration to kitchen, living room and finished basement. If you are looking for an exact restoration on an insurance claim, they would probably do an adequate job. If you wish to do any upgrades, be forewarned that their price quotes were as much as triple other bids. Additionally, some of their contractors seemed like they had never been exposed to the jobs at hand. Base board staining had to be done and redone to try to match the surrounding stain color - and after 2 tries (the first try was an "orange" color when the wood tone was maple, we asked for a refund on that portion of the job and had another contractor do the work - who matched the stain dead one first try. To their credit, they acknowledged that the stain project had gone badly and refunded the money we had prepaid for that portion of the job. |When the add on / upgrade bid quotes were questioned on why they were so high vs competition, we were told to our face that all bids were simply their cost plus 20% and that they would not compromise quality for price. We discovered through one of their contractors that that was simply untrue. One major portion of the restoration was padded with approx. $4000.00 profit PLUS they added the 20% General Contractor fee on the total price. So - they were intending to make 20% overhead/profit on their own "added" profit - something I found astonishing. When we started pulling work away from the initial estimate of a $23K restoration job, they withdrew their offer to remodel the kitchen after we were well into the job AND they did so VIA an email late one evening. Email? Really? While it put us in a tail spin initially, it was the best thing that happened in our dealings with them. We quickly found excellent contractors who did quality work and finished the total job at a SUBSTANTIAL savings! |Coupled with a refusal to show us the estimate they had submitted to the insurance company (after all - aren't WE the customer? Our insurance company said so!) and other friction points along the way and despite their being quick responsive to issues and finding a few quality people to work with within their organization, we would not use them again. Not every single matter turned out to be a disaster, but there were more than enough issues to warrant the rating we have given them.

Description of Work: I use Phoenix Renovation & Restoration for various home repairs and renovations. I also had them move a washer/dryer from the basement to a main floor and put in some railings and handicapped features for my mother. They are also managing damage from hale here in the house.

Description of Work: I got a quote from Phoenix Renovation & Restoration for exterior painting and to put up front porch posts. I also wanted them to put in balusters, French doors and get rid of all the wood rot. I also wanted them to replace panels on the outside of my house.

Description of Work: I used Phoenix Renovation & Restoration to repair a very bad water overflow requiring sheetrock repair, carpet cleaning, duct cleaning, refinishing hardwood floors, repainting areas and replacing a custom cabinet.

Description of Work: The lower level of our house was hit by a car damaging a bedroom, bathroom, foundation and fence. Phoenix Renovation contractors workmanship exceeded our expections in all respects.

Description of Work: Foundation problems and settling issues caused drywall cracks in several walls, cracks in the ceiling in the living room area, and several doors that would not close due to settling. Part of the ceiling had to be skimmed, retextured and the whole ceiling repainted. Drywall was repaired and carpentry work done to make the doors close. The rooms were totally repainted.

Description of Work: The hardwood floors had to be taken up and new boards installed. The ceiling had to be replaced where the water had ruined it. The rooms (bath and bed) had to be repainted and woodwork installed and/0r replaced.

Description of Work: I’ve gotten some bids from them. It’s related to cosmetic work due to foundation problems. I had cracks in some of my walls so I’ve gotten bids from them to repair the cracks but they haven’t done the work yet.

Description of Work: We had a sewer line in our basement back-up and thus flood the finished and un-finished portions of our basement. Our insurance company had a water restoration company initially come to remove the damaged materials (carpet, padding, trim, drywall, etc.), sanitize and dry the effected areas. Phoenix Renovation was then referred to us to repair/restore the damaged areas. Tim Quinn was our Project Manager and I could not have been more pleased with his responsiveness and professionalism! Tim and his team (Marty K and Joey H) were amazing as were the sub-contractors they used (David H, Rick H, Kelly D). They all performed their respective trades very well, in a tidy fashion, and with a prompt and professional manner. Phoenix tiled, carpeted, dry-walled, trimmed and painted most of our basement. They will be highly recommended by us, came highly referred to us, and I would be honored to have them work with us again in the future. Although they may be a little pricey, their services are well worth the price and peace of mind! Don't hesitate to use them!

Description of Work: I had an insurance claim and Phoenix Restoration was the main contractor. He subbed out having my hardwood floors fixed.

Description of Work: This company has hired to replace and repair trim work that had water damage as well as remove any material in my house that had any type of water damage which was not salvageable. Also, they has to replace a sheetrock ceiling in a small half back, which had fallen in due to a water leak. They came out and I walked through the house showing them what needed to be done. I had holes at the bottoms of a few walls that were put there to dry out the walls, all the trim worked needed replaced, a few walls needed to be sealed and painted, and a ceiling needed to be replaced.
